@thisutuber You're kidding, right? I mean "think" about what you just said. Do you think god didn't know that Lucifer would rebel against him? If god didn't know before creating Lucifer then god isn't all knowing. If he's not all knowing then how do you know he couldn't be wrong about salvation?
@thisutuber Hell on earth? We're ALL experiencing that at the present time. Now if you're implying hell on earth as in "eternal hell" aka being thrown into the "POOL OF FIRE" for ALL eternity, NEVER ENDING SUFFERING for not loving a god that refuses to reveal it'self then what an EVIL DICK this god is. I mean seriously an eternal punishment for a "finite" transgression??!!
@thisutuber I believe that some people would experience hell on earth even if we all agreed to love and actually did love. Loving doesn't resolve the problem of physical suffering and some suffering can be so bad as to be hell. However, I do believe the world's people would have evolved to a new positive level. One can dream lol

@psyland1 The latter. It's funny to me that he came there all modern, thinking that would give him a leg up in proselytizing, when instead they just thought he was kind of silly for it - and that this irony devastated his faith.
@Fordi I do want to say, though, it's not "most atheists are brilliant scientists" - that is not in any way true. It's the other way around: "a majority of scientists are atheist, and more so among the recognized brilliant"
You got that a little backwards. Most elite scientists today are atheists. Most atheists are not scientists at all because not all of them went into that line of work.
Christians have a lot of answer for as they are responsible for eroding traditions and beliefs of many tribal people across the world. We should leave them alone and not interfere them with illogical beliefs, discriminatory dogmas and superstitions...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is NOT their fault that you lost your religion! You ought to be ashamed of yourself, using this innocent tribe to transfer this tainted message. If you don't believe in God it's because you don't seek the truth in everything; you aren't holistic enough. Please remove this video because it is unfair to put such a horrible name on this tribe.
I am a Christian (Catholic) but I never make videos telling people they should believe what I do. I believe in God because I can't fool myself.
@WordsWontWork There's no way I can tell myself that the Universe was always there, and that it wasn't created, while still believing in the Big Bang. I can't believe in science without believing in God (first law of thermodynamics: matter can be neither created nor destroyed.) I can't see the jump from chimpanzee to hominid, the origination of freedom of thought. It cannot be solely natural that we are free from purely mathematical instinct. SEEK THE TRUTH even if it means giving up your faith.
@WordsWontWork - He initially had permission to study as a missionary but went back under grants as a linguist. He is a well respected researcher and a defender of the Pirahas culture. His studies with them completely subverted many long held views of the origins of language or what language is or has to be and in his personal life they subverted his views on God. This is by no means a book about loss of faith but that is part of his personal story. The Pirahas have a lot to share culturally.
@WordsWontWork also i believe traveling to the middle of the Amazon and still seeking the "Truth of Gods Message", evaluating your dogma versus the truth in front of you and concluding you don't believe in a God you can't see is admirable and brave. I am personally not an atheist but i have to admit someone like this is a "truth seeker" in the most thorough sense. He discovered his personal outlook and sense of reason and logic was at odds with his personal faith. This is brave and commendable.
Superstition- umm yeahaa! Daa of course religions are based on superstitions...without question. Anyone with a clear head would come to that conclusion by just a little time of wondering.
Is it that they just don't have a creation or God story, or they just don't like thinking beyond themselves nor bother to ponder of things across time. It is an interesting situation not just for religion but, things learned from ancient times, remembrance of stories about their great great grandfathers, or past and future floodings,... It reminds me of the irresponsible attitude some have in our society, like drunks or a teen that hates to study or dna limited brain? Or Adam in Eden pre Snake?
Wow, what a great story!! It seems that the Piraha are wiser then most people in this country!! I am an Atheist, and came to that conclusion this year, and I plan to use this video in explaining my lack of faith to my parents! Daniel Everett, you are one COURAGEOUS man!!!
The common conception of god as a patriarchal sky fairy listening to our prayers and intervening with real life is utter bullshit. Come on people, it's the fucking 21st century! I was once a Christian, simply because I was raised that way. When I hit puberty and learned I was a homosexual, I realized I had been lied to by my church and became an atheist. 8 years later I began to feel like my mind was not me, but merely a tool that was subject to the laws of nature. I felt trapped by my desires.
Trapped by my own thought process. I felt I could do whatever I wanted, but how is it that I want? I don't control my inspiration. I saw the limits of my "free will", and everything that happened seemed to be inevitably moving in a mysterious direction regardless of my feelings about it. So now I think, if there is a "god" (I really wish there was a new word for this mystery) it is nothing at all like any religion is preaching about it. No heaven, no hell, no sin, just expressions of life.
Anyway, I no longer consider myself an atheist, nor am I a religionist. I know that we will never solve the mystery of free will(god/fate/destiny) until we become civilized and unified as a species. Separationist religions and cultures only hold us back. Jesus and the rest will be forgotten. I heard man himself is god-in-the-making. After reading this you probably got a sense of how confused I am. Through this confusion is, I think, the purest way of looking at the universe, for the moment.
You've really misinterpreted everything I said. I don't believe in anything supernatural, but I do believe everything co-evolves instead of against each other, and this is the "evidence" of a greater order, which is all I was talking about. No 'bullshit that never even happened'. Atheists my claim chance as their god, but it won't change the recent fact that adaptation is not the driving force for evolution. This is the most modern, most integrated viewpoint, and I don't expect you to get it.
I could not believe it when I read the book yesterday. This man is a disgrace to the name of Jesus Christ. (But I do wish he had bothered to explain his denial of Christ in the book. It's barely mentioned until the Epilogue, and then only briefly!)
What a tragic story. He had the honor of bringing the news of forgiveness and Christ to these lost people and instead he turns his back on it all and leaves them to die and go to hell? How horrifying!
Wrong, the "name of Jesus Christ" is a disgrace to the human race.
Also, the word "denial" can only be applied when there is evidence. And since there is no evidence for the divinity of the god in which you believe by accident of birth, and not even evidence for existence, the word "denial" does not apply.
@Akatam0t0ma I so desperately long for and look forward to the day when God-haters and blasphemers like you will be held accountable. You will bow your knees to that same Christ that you now despise and mock and you WILL say "Jesus is Lord".
Yeah, I'm aware you long for it "desperately". Muslims says exactly the same thing, just replace "Christ" with "Allah". However, no matter how desperately you will long for, it all remains nothing more than your a religionist fantansy into which you were conditioned from birth. You did not come to believe this mumbo jumbo by rational inquiry, you believe in it just because your parents happened to believe in it as well. And that's a fact. Ain't facts are bitches? :-D
@Yesica1993 you said, "I so desperately long for and look forward to the day when God-haters and blasphemers like you will be held accountable." OH WOW! How christian of you. I can sense the anger in you. Anger leads to hate and hate leads to the dark side. You taken the first step in freeing your conscience from your indoctrination. Well done my young padawan learner.
@Yesica1993 It would be funny to have one of the tribes men or woman read your angry, hateful, uncaring, and insensitive comment and realize that you profess to be the thing that these tribes people need. I'm sorry but it quite laughable.
@99minerkc Projection, much? There are no angry, hateful, uncaring, insensitive comments here, except for yours toward me.
What's most pathetic is that you can't even comprehend that these tribespeople can't read anything I write, since they are often illiterate in general and certainly in English. Christians go to share the gospel with groups like this to not only tell them of Christ's love, but to help them in practical ways as well, including literacy.
I never said a tribesmen or women could read. It was hypothetical, do you know what that means? Also, you have to be blinded if you believe that, "I so desperately long for and look forward to the day when God-haters and blasphemers like you will be held accountable." Is not an angry, hateful statement because it most definitely is. Jesus called you to "love" but certainly NOT make comments like you did. I know much about christianity and what a "true" christian is and you are NOT one.
@Yesica1993 you said, What a tragic story. He had the honor of bringing the news of forgiveness and Christ to these lost people and instead he turns his back on it all and leaves them to die and go to hell? How horrifying! If you read the book you would know that "he tried to convert these people over a LONG PERIOD OF TIME. He had enough RESPECT for the people to not shove the supposed free gift down their throats. You on the other hand sound like a MAJOR PIECE OF WORK!
Daniel; you fool! were you once known by Christ in the first place? If you were of Jesus initially, would you forfeit your faith in Him just for the sake of a semi naked primitive tribe? The Piraha people are no longer ignorant of the word of God. They deliberately rejected Him. Would you also reject Him b'cos they did? You know the consequences of "sailing towards the great abyss with a smile" is & you think it's a light matter. Spending eternity in a fiery lake pit is fun to you? Thou fool!!!
"Daniel; you fool! were you once known by Christ in the first place? "
BUZZ! No True Scotsman argument! Logical fallacy! Try again!
Seriously, is it any wonder why religion is losing grounds in the free world, when religionist tools are unable to defend god without resorting to blatant logical fallacies?
@Akatam0t0ma Following Jesus ain't a religion but an assured way of life into eternal life. It is actual fact and not fallacy. The free world is heading on a smooth highway to hell. If Daniel really understood who Jesus Christ is and what it entails following Him (as well as the spiritual benefits also), the last thing he would ever do is to forfeit His relationship with Christ (if ever He was known by Jesus at all) just because of the behaviors and attitudes of some erring tribes. What fallacy?
A "fact" not supported by a shred of empirical, observable evidence, and as such, can be safely dismissed as the fantasy of a religionist, a fantasy in which you believe only by accident of birth.
When we die, and our brain shuts down, that's it. That's the reality, and no amount of superstitions are gonna change that.
"The free world is heading on a smooth highway to hell"
Do you have any evidence that there is even such a place as "hell"?
@Akatam0t0ma I will tell you the truth and nothing but the truth (and I lie not): I have experienced death before (what others may call NDE). During this period, I was as conscious (or rather more real conscious) as in this physical world. Honestly. God showed me what hell was like. He has also revealed to me what hell is like within (on another occasion). I am not so elatedly biased that I will use God's name in vain or lie with His name. There is real life after death and a real heaven & hell.
People all over the world, from different religions have NDEs. Curiously, all who claim to be see the gods, see exactly the gods in whom they happen to believe by accident of birth. But you won't accept that as evidence for their existence, right? ;-)
The things people see during NDEs are not supernatural and there is nothing about them which cannot be explain with naturalistic neurology.
So yes, you ARE "elatedly biased", just like any other religionist out there.
@Akatam0t0ma How do you know God does not exist? What evidence do you have? Suppose you die and found out too late that there is a real God, would you want to spend your eternity in fire (not that it would be your choice, for your time was up). What makes you so sure that the spiritual world do not exist? If you die and go to hell, that's your problem. You will remember with heavy regrets these conversations and the scoffing you made but it will be irreversible. You are no longer ignorant.
When will you religionist drones get it through your thick and hollow skulls that the burden of proof of the gods is on YOU? If you want your religion to stop losing adherents, you need to think of new arguments that do not consist of logical fallacies.
"What makes you so sure that the spiritual world do not exist?"
Total and utter lack of evidence. In the same way that you are certain that the "spiritual worlds" of religions in which you do not believe by accident of birth do not exist, I am certain about yours. The only difference between you and me is that I'm just more consistent than you.
Considering the fact that there are multiple religions in the world that make incompatible "truth" claims about the world, just as certainly as yours does, you should expect to be on the losing side purely as a matter of probability.
@Akatam0t0ma Simply because broad is the way that lead to destruction and excellent probabilities of people go into it while narrow and strait is the way to life and a miserly low probability go therein. You are no longer ignorant of the truth.
Yeah, but do you have any proof that YOUR specific narrow way, in which you believe by accident of birth, is the right way? There are plenty of "narrow ways" out there, and yours is not the only one. Muslims will say that their "narrow way" is the truth, and will claim that their religion is the absolute truth, with as much conviction as you claim about yours, and with about as much evidence(Or the total lack thereof).
@Akatam0t0ma Jesus Christ is the proof. Which other religious leader could claim to be the "resurrection and the life"; "bread of life"; "Alpha and Omega"? I have told you many times that He is the SPECIFIC (ONLY) way to life. There is irrefutable proof He existed (and still existing today as He had always existed). Even His enemies testified of His existence and miracles. For your skepticism, an enemy testifying the presence (and deeds) of a person is more likely believable than if a friend.
Once again, you are yet to bring any evidence. All you're doing is spouting unfounded assertions and assumptions which come from your presupposed religious beliefs. And since you would not accept such non-arguments from a religion in which you don't believe by accident of birth, there is no reason not to dismiss yours as nothing more than your religious wishful thinking.
If you truly want to save your religion from dying due to its sheer stupidity, use less fallacious arguments.
@Akatam0t0ma How do you know Jesus is not the way or what I have been saying so far is fallacious or stupid? What evidence(s) do you have that all religions lead to heaven? What authentic spiritual evidence(s) have you seen or experienced? How do you know Jesus Christ is not God (if ever you believe in a God at all)? I tell you the truth so far & you say I'm talking stupid or lies. Show me of the authenticity you know that you may correct me if you can. You're no longer ignorant of the truth.
"How do you know Jesus is not the way or what I have been saying so far is fallacious or stupid?"
The same way that you know that all other religions out there in which you do not believe by accident of birth are "fallacious or stupid". They don't make sense to you, as they do to me.
"What evidence(s) do you have that all religions lead to heaven?"
I don't have such evidence and I never claimed anything like that. Strawman argument. Logical fallacy. Try again.
"What authentic spiritual evidence(s) have you seen or experienced?"
Thus far, none that I can recall, but even if I did, that would not be an evidence for any supernatural creator of this universe who gives a damn about what we do in our lives. Having an experience which you believe to be from the gods does not give you any legitimate authority to claim to know the minds of the supposed creators of this universe and tell others how to live their lives.
"How do you know Jesus Christ is not God (if ever you believe in a God at all)?"
In the same way that you know that Thor, Odin, Zeus or any other thousands of gods in which humans believed throughout history are not gods. There has never been any objective, testable and empirical evidence to suggest that your god is an exception.
"I tell you the truth so far & you say I'm talking stupid or lies"
Because you do. You just make empty assertions without any shred of evidence to back them up, and then have the bold faced audacity to think that anyone who treats your hollow assertions as anything less than self evident are somehow living in denial. That's my problem with religion. You think you have the right to make "truth" claims without justifying them. Sorry, the time for that bullshit is UP.
"Show me of the authenticity you know that you may correct me if you can."
I don't have to show your "the authenticity that I know" because YOU are the one who makes positive "truth" claims about gods and claim to know their minds, among many billions of religionists that are out there in the world, from dozens of religions. You are the one upon whom lies the burden of proof about your gods. And quoting your favorite holey texts does NOT count as evidence!
@Akatam0t0ma In other words, you are just a coward who makes loud empty noises and showing enmassed hypocrisy to a far much greater degree. At least, I had a locus standing to base my hopes and writings on why you don't have anything whatsoever positive in basing your opposition (under the odious canopy of blind argument and deliberate ignorance). You are one of those who will perish in a hellish pit for all eternity. You may not have to be mad or angry if you don't believe me.
You see, that's why you religionist drones are increasingly becoming a laughing stock and indistinguishable from your own parodies. You can't say that something "is true" just because you so desperately want it to be true without satisfying the need for evidence. If I were you, I would feel embarassed being unable to grasp something which even a primitive Amazonian tribe can grasp.But then,that's why you're a religionist, and as such, belief against evidence is a requirement for you.
@7olusegun All eternity lasts for about the duration between your body being alive and it being dead. So pretty much the speed at which a light turns off in a room when you flip the switch.
No one is going to any place after its all said in done. You'll turn into dust as the watch of time counts up for 'eternity'.
@SourceCode2006 Not so!The ending of one's physical life is the beginning of one's spiritual life in all of eternity (i.e. there is concrete conscious life after death. I am a living witness to that). I will tell you the truth and will not lie: God confirmed to me that heaven & hell are as real (if not more real) than this physical world. You may be an atheist, but see Psalm 53:1 to ascertain your personality type. All what the bible said regarding all the world events are 100% accurate so far.
We're still waiting for an objective, verifiable and empirical evidence for any of your claims, which you provided of NONE thus far, except for your personal religious opinions and appeals to your favorite book of superstition, which is not a valid form of evidence, because you would not accept such non-reasoning from a religion in which you don't happen to believe by accident of birth.
@Akatam0t0ma Do you have to be negative or raging b'cos I tell you the truth? What is your strong evidence that God does not exist or that the bible is superstition? And what are your evidences that very many complex life forms (together with their "irreducible complexities that overcame the uphill task of 2nd thermodynamic law) occurred at random? Only one with an absurd thinking will believe in that nonsense despite overwhelming evidences to the contrary.
No, I have to be negative because you spew bullshit. You don't provide any evidence, and somehow think that by asserting something as "the truth" makes it the truth.
"What is your strong evidence that God does not exist"
Same as your evidence that any other god that you don't believe in by accident of birth doesn't exist. Show me the evidence for the non-existence of the thousands of gods humans believed in(And many still believe in) through the history, and I will show you mine.
Snakes and donkeys can't talk, people don't turn into pillars of salt, seas don't split, virgins can't magically become pregnant, people can't rise from the dead, earth wasn't created in six days and there never was a global flood, contrary to what manure you might have stuffed your cranium with from Kent Hovind.
If you are an adult who believes any of those things to be literally true, then you are stupid. Ain't life's a bitch?
"And what are your evidences that very many complex life forms (together with their "irreducible complexities that overcame the uphill task of 2nd thermodynamic law) occurred at random?"
Complex things can and do occur in nature all the time. And your cretard talking point about the "2nd thermodynamic law" has been debunked, so please stop using it, because it only serves as a dead giveaway your pious religionist ignorance:
"Only one with an absurd thinking will believe in that nonsense"
No, actually, I do NOT believe any of that stupid strawman of reality which you constructed in your pious Jeebus-manure filled cranium.
But a creationist who believes in talking snakes and donkeys criticizing others for "believing in nonsense" is like a butcher criticizing a devout Hindu for eating meat. It's just a tragedy that you're too fucking stupid and brainwashed to see the irony.
@Akatam0t0ma Why do you rage when the truth is said? Simple, because you have a fucked up hyper evil mentality that refuse to do unbiased thorough research before spouting out malefic drivels. I will laugh at you on that day.
No, I only rage when blatant bullshit is spewed, something which you do on this comment section all the time for sky-daddy.
And by "unbiased thorough research" you mean to accept your favorite book of mythology as nothing less than self-evident and absolutely true without any shadow of doubt just because it says so. Does it make baby Jeebus sad that real " unbiased thorough research" doesn't work that way? ;-)
And I could laugh at you and the rest of your dumb-on-purpose, aggressively-ignorant and voluntarilty-stupid religionist crowd, if such mentality wasn't so destructive and detrimental to our species. Watch this video and see why such attitude only serves to confirm my point about you:
watch?v=x1u7MXRCJ8E
But I know you won't, because watching this video is another thing that will make baby Jeebus sad in the pants.
@7olusegun You're a fucking moron, there is no proof of god, humans don't have souls - you're mentally ill. The bible is just a book written by a bunch of assholes who wanted to control people.
@SourceCode2006 Your own mouth shall judge thee. Thos knowest whether the bible is phantom or no life after death, and when you die and find out that God exist and is too late? You will be the biggest loser of your life with eternal regret in eternal damnation (whether or not you believe it). Check Psalm 53:1 to ascertain your personality type.
"Check Psalm 53:1 to ascertain your personality type."
And why should we care what your favorite holey book of superstition says? I'm sure there are verses in other holey books which you don't believe by accident of birth that can fit your character very well. Again, using scripture as evidence for your superstition only serves to expose you for the intellectual lightweight that you are.
And lol@Pascal's wager. Fail religionists is a FAIL! xD
Nah, he's not mentally ill. He just have his head too far up his ass from overdosing on the god-drug. He can easily remedy his situation by pulling his head out of it, only if he wants to. Willful ignorance&stupidity=/=mental illness!
Does anyone know where I can find the original of this? Something was censored out at 5:46. I'd love to know what was said. I imagine, given the context of the conversation, it was very revealing.
I have always objected to so called missionaries travelling around the world to "spread" their so called gospel.
If the gospel is the "truth" and the way in which we are supposed to live our lives, then the omni present, omni potent, powerful god would have a more efficient way of spreading this message. Rather then relying on mortal men to spread this message .
Even though I have athesitic beliefs, I dont see any strenght in the argrument "seeing is believing" . I have never met my grandparents or seen any photographs of them, However I do know they existed and have nor reason to disbelieve my parents accounts of them.
Wi-fi and Bluetooth technology are very real, yet I have never seen the medium of communication. The list is not exhaustive..........
What an amazing story, too bad about his family though, there are probably plenty of closet atheists out there afraid to come up because there familys and friends will shun them.
But are they really friends if they will do that? Is it a true family if the matter of your belief is vital to your incorporation in the family?
How interesting! Like you, it took me about 30 years to rid myself of religion after serving as pastor and denominational leader. Christianity sucked my best part of my life.
I like to say that the Atheist Amazon tribe, the Piraha, only believe what can be properly proven. I tell a story about the distinction of science and mystical mumbo-jumbo. If two groups go to the primitive tribe, one talking about invisible spirits, the other talking about invisible planets past Saturn, the second group has a systematic method of proving what they are talking about, though the planets are invisible (or nearly so; you stand a chance of seeing Uranus in clear rural skies.)
God can only give eternal life to people who trust Him, so they won’t rebel like Lucifer did.
Make sense?
thisutuber 4 weeks ago
@thisutuber You're kidding, right? I mean "think" about what you just said. Do you think god didn't know that Lucifer would rebel against him? If god didn't know before creating Lucifer then god isn't all knowing. If he's not all knowing then how do you know he couldn't be wrong about salvation?

The common conception of god as a patriarchal sky fairy listening to our prayers and intervening with real life is utter bullshit. Come on people, it's the fucking 21st century! I was once a Christian, simply because I was raised that way. When I hit puberty and learned I was a homosexual, I realized I had been lied to by my church and became an atheist. 8 years later I began to feel like my mind was not me, but merely a tool that was subject to the laws of nature. I felt trapped by my desires.
LazyTranslator 1 year ago
Trapped by my own thought process. I felt I could do whatever I wanted, but how is it that I want? I don't control my inspiration. I saw the limits of my "free will", and everything that happened seemed to be inevitably moving in a mysterious direction regardless of my feelings about it. So now I think, if there is a "god" (I really wish there was a new word for this mystery) it is nothing at all like any religion is preaching about it. No heaven, no hell, no sin, just expressions of life.
LazyTranslator 1 year ago
Anyway, I no longer consider myself an atheist, nor am I a religionist. I know that we will never solve the mystery of free will(god/fate/destiny) until we become civilized and unified as a species. Separationist religions and cultures only hold us back. Jesus and the rest will be forgotten. I heard man himself is god-in-the-making. After reading this you probably got a sense of how confused I am. Through this confusion is, I think, the purest way of looking at the universe, for the moment.
LazyTranslator 1 year ago
@LazyTranslator You're a moron. You can easily make a decision on what is REAL and what is SUPERNATURAL (fake).
What evidence do you have for god that can't be explained as a complexity of life you lack understanding in?
God is the scapegoat of the poorly educated moron that has been brainwashed with guilt into believing a bunch of bullshit that never even happened.
SourceCode2006 1 year ago
You've really misinterpreted everything I said. I don't believe in anything supernatural, but I do believe everything co-evolves instead of against each other, and this is the "evidence" of a greater order, which is all I was talking about. No 'bullshit that never even happened'. Atheists my claim chance as their god, but it won't change the recent fact that adaptation is not the driving force for evolution. This is the most modern, most integrated viewpoint, and I don't expect you to get it.
LazyTranslator 1 year ago
I could not believe it when I read the book yesterday. This man is a disgrace to the name of Jesus Christ. (But I do wish he had bothered to explain his denial of Christ in the book. It's barely mentioned until the Epilogue, and then only briefly!)
What a tragic story. He had the honor of bringing the news of forgiveness and Christ to these lost people and instead he turns his back on it all and leaves them to die and go to hell? How horrifying!
Yesica1993 1 year ago
@Yesica1993:
Wrong, the "name of Jesus Christ" is a disgrace to the human race.
Also, the word "denial" can only be applied when there is evidence. And since there is no evidence for the divinity of the god in which you believe by accident of birth, and not even evidence for existence, the word "denial" does not apply.
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago 15
@Akatam0t0ma I so desperately long for and look forward to the day when God-haters and blasphemers like you will be held accountable. You will bow your knees to that same Christ that you now despise and mock and you WILL say "Jesus is Lord".
I cannot wait for that day.
Yesica1993 1 year ago
@Yesica1993:

@Yesica1993 It would be funny to have one of the tribes men or woman read your angry, hateful, uncaring, and insensitive comment and realize that you profess to be the thing that these tribes people need. I'm sorry but it quite laughable.
99minerkc 4 weeks ago
@99minerkc Projection, much? There are no angry, hateful, uncaring, insensitive comments here, except for yours toward me.
What's most pathetic is that you can't even comprehend that these tribespeople can't read anything I write, since they are often illiterate in general and certainly in English. Christians go to share the gospel with groups like this to not only tell them of Christ's love, but to help them in practical ways as well, including literacy.
Yesica1993 3 weeks ago
I never said a tribesmen or women could read. It was hypothetical, do you know what that means? Also, you have to be blinded if you believe that, "I so desperately long for and look forward to the day when God-haters and blasphemers like you will be held accountable." Is not an angry, hateful statement because it most definitely is. Jesus called you to "love" but certainly NOT make comments like you did. I know much about christianity and what a "true" christian is and you are NOT one.

BUZZ! No True Scotsman argument! Logical fallacy! Try again!
Seriously, is it any wonder why religion is losing grounds in the free world, when religionist tools are unable to defend god without resorting to blatant logical fallacies?
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma Following Jesus ain't a religion but an assured way of life into eternal life. It is actual fact and not fallacy. The free world is heading on a smooth highway to hell. If Daniel really understood who Jesus Christ is and what it entails following Him (as well as the spiritual benefits also), the last thing he would ever do is to forfeit His relationship with Christ (if ever He was known by Jesus at all) just because of the behaviors and attitudes of some erring tribes. What fallacy?

@7olusegun:
"t is actual fact and not fallacy."
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma I will tell you the truth and nothing but the truth (and I lie not): I have experienced death before (what others may call NDE). During this period, I was as conscious (or rather more real conscious) as in this physical world. Honestly. God showed me what hell was like. He has also revealed to me what hell is like within (on another occasion). I am not so elatedly biased that I will use God's name in vain or lie with His name. There is real life after death and a real heaven & hell.
7olusegun 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma How do you know God does not exist? What evidence do you have? Suppose you die and found out too late that there is a real God, would you want to spend your eternity in fire (not that it would be your choice, for your time was up). What makes you so sure that the spiritual world do not exist? If you die and go to hell, that's your problem. You will remember with heavy regrets these conversations and the scoffing you made but it will be irreversible. You are no longer ignorant.
7olusegun 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
"What evidence do you have?"
When will you religionist drones get it through your thick and hollow skulls that the burden of proof of the gods is on YOU? If you want your religion to stop losing adherents, you need to think of new arguments that do not consist of logical fallacies.
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma Ok; time will tell who is right.
7olusegun 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Considering the fact that there are multiple religions in the world that make incompatible "truth" claims about the world, just as certainly as yours does, you should expect to be on the losing side purely as a matter of probability.
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma Simply because broad is the way that lead to destruction and excellent probabilities of people go into it while narrow and strait is the way to life and a miserly low probability go therein. You are no longer ignorant of the truth.
7olusegun 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma Jesus Christ is the proof. Which other religious leader could claim to be the "resurrection and the life"; "bread of life"; "Alpha and Omega"? I have told you many times that He is the SPECIFIC (ONLY) way to life. There is irrefutable proof He existed (and still existing today as He had always existed). Even His enemies testified of His existence and miracles. For your skepticism, an enemy testifying the presence (and deeds) of a person is more likely believable than if a friend.
7olusegun 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@Akatam0t0ma How do you know Jesus is not the way or what I have been saying so far is fallacious or stupid? What evidence(s) do you have that all religions lead to heaven? "What evidence(s) do you have that all religions lead to heaven?"
I don't have such evidence and I never claimed anything like that. Strawman argument. Logical fallacy. Try again.
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@7olusegun:
Akatam0t0ma 1 year ago
@7olusegun:

If the gospel is the "truth" and the way in which we are supposed to live our lives, then the omni present, omni potent, powerful god would have a more efficient way of spreading this message. Rather then relying on mortal men to spread this message .
