  • how much did this project set you back?

  • @Mr16pointbuckstalker I kept track pretty closely...for a while. So not sure, but estimating between 11K and 13K.

  • Barn, hell,,,, That's a damn-nice shop!!! :-D Looks just great!!!

  • @Landotter1 - Thanks! Yes, that's what I use if for.

  • 0:46 douchebag

  • Looks good folks - nicely played.

  • @4micaman Thanks!

  • Nice job would be interested on how the barn is holding up

  • @swivelgate Holding up great! No leaks, no movement, nuttin'! The big doors have not sagged, no problems at all.

  • why didn't you put any vapor barrier under the roofing? just on the siding?

  • @ligyro Not really sure. I was given the advice for the vapor barrier from a builder, he didn't mention the roof.

  • nice looking building. Not real sure about the huge gaps between the boards on the walls.

  • @alderaforall The gaps were covered with strips, as seen in the pics. Is that what you mean?

  • That's a nice, thick slab

  • how much does something like this cost to do?

  • nice barn and very well build! what kind of wood did you use on the outside? i want to build one like yours!

  • great video nice barn you have

  • why would anyone show pics for 1 second each? Gave my mouse a work out...

  • @docrw : Sorry. There were quite a few pics, and I didn't know if anyone would be interested, so i made it go quickly.

  • @raymondtm Looks like a good video just a bit too fast. You might do it over with 2 seconds between cause 3.5 minutes isn't that long already... Did you keep track of costs?

  • @raymondtm I am glad you used so many. I liked seeing details and big picture shots. I got to see details better that way, and how it all fit into the whole. I paused at least every few shots, and backed up to see it again. I would like to see an extended version, where you use the still shots and give comments as well. I loved building tree houses as a kid. But I never learned real construction. If you feel like it, split this up into several vids, and give comments, codes, reasons etc.

  • It only took 4 years lol? Great job though...

  • @cchanderson : Thanks! I enjoyed doing it. And we've enjoyed the barn parties in it!

  • Very nice barn. What is your time investment in building it?

  • @sjbl1962 - Thanks. I couldn't begin to estimate the time investment. The overall project was about 3 years, but I worked on it off and on, sometimes not working for weeks or months at a time. And, as I had never built anything like this, I had to do a lot of research and studying. I would stop at building sites and look at whatever stage I was in at the time, such as how to frame a door, a window, etc.

  • you should look at a roofing machine

  • @home4dogs - Ain't that the truth!

  • nice work

  • Thanks!

  • Aow just full barn building, he didn't uhhh dew remoddelin' shtuff...

  • Did that come with a 30/30 warranty? 30 days or 30 seconds, which ever comes first? Only kidding, came out nice.

  • 4 years to build a barn??>
