I got a stock Mustang GT(300 HP) and I am looking for more power, my budget would be about 5-6 grand including work and parts. Anyone got any good ideas? I was told I would be better off with a supercharger due to my budget and that it would save much money on the labor. Any other upgrades that could give a few extra HP here and there? Appreciate all answers!

depends on factors with manuals and automatics. really I go with automatic why. I put in a 4 speed auto with slabstick and man talk about fun. try a racing auto shifter sometime. I live around mountains and city bs. manual really sucks where I am.
That too, except it is dual clutch but yes it is in a sense "automatic" so yes it qualifies. I was deciding between an E39 M5 or my current 05 E55 back when I bought it and even though the M5 was a little more "fun" as in you know throwing the gears it feels good but the E55 was a more "complete" car. Way more powerful too so I chose the latter. Don't regret it because even if manual is fun most of my driving is traffic and an auto is a LIFESAVER lol. Manual will get annoying in traffic.

the reason I got my auto is because I only paid $18,000 for it,garaged kept for 3 years with only 3,128 miles,shaker 1000 watt stereo,roush wing,18'' option wheels,still got the $35,000 sticker,could'nt pass up that deal,and besides it is well worth the money I put into it running 11.20s,blows shelbys away,and I have alot less money into all together than a shelby.Iv'e had 5 other stangs,all 5 speed,and it get's old real quick,in traffic,especially where I live.

the only reason people dont like automatics is because of some stupid mentality thing that started when fast and fabulous first came out, believing that driving a stick makes them "gangsta", and most of the people that say shit about autos dont even have cars. usually 14 year old wiggers that get a hard on from vin diesel boning paul walker in their supra. there used to be automatic gt500s back in the day. where have things like those gone?

@Stangorino281 I wouldn't say that is the only reason some people don't like automatic transmissions. Some people like a manual better just because. Each is entitled to his or her own opion.
Either way, there's no reason to put down one or the other, and I think it's unfair to say "there's nothing cool about an automatic."

the reason I got my auto is because I only paid $18,000 for it,garaged kept for 3 years with only 3,128 miles,shaker 1000 watt stereo,roush wing,18'' option wheels,still got the $35,000 sticker,could'nt pass up that deal,and besides it is well worth the money I put into it running 11.20s,blows shelbys away,and I have alot less money into all together than a shelby.Iv'e had 5 other stangs,all 5 speed,and it get's old real quick,in traffic,especially where I live.

mine's an auto. with Edelbrock Eforce supercharger,9LBs boost,comp cams,jba headers,pypes high flow cats,magnapack mufflers,sct tuned for 482 rwhp,Iv'e had 5 other mustangs,all stick,and it got expensive replacing clutches,and a real pain in the ass in traffic,i love my 5 speed auto.runs awsome,it's all in the person's preferance.
