This video proves the distinct influence of Josephine Baker, someone many consider a "flapper," on many relevant aspects of today's pop-culture (Beyoncé). This video also proves some of the same controversies back in the day, are still considered "controversies" today. "Demon rum" then is now the issue of Conservative areas where "sin taxes" are prevalent.
