Well seeing as I play guitar not bass, I'm not surprised he's better at bass than me. And besides I didn't mean that he should get a fender because he needs it to be better, I was just saying that he should get one because fenders are better than squires which I'm sure everyone else watching this knows too....maybe it's time you caught on too.

i get what youre saying, as far as playability ive been surprised to find some squires that play better than fenders, alot of the time its just hype, a friend of mine has a standard fender j-bass thats just way too stiff for my taste, and ive played squires that have impressed me, so i dont agree with fender necessarily being better than squire, i will say though that without a doubt fenders are more durable.

He's young, that's an advantage. But just copying someone badly and posting it up leaves a lot to be desired. Fair play, he can slap and pop, but it's not that hard. Flea can do it and jump around like a demented bastard at the same time. That is talent. A word of advice, slapping is cool, but don't forget it's only a part of a bass players arsenal and use your other fingers. Best of luck.

I tell you Flea is a great bassplayer, i was in a band in the late 80's in the UK, and we supported the RHCP's on their first two dates in Manchester and London when hillel was still alive, when I saw them my jaw dropped to the ground, I'd never seen anyone play the bass with such skill and ferocity, they were awesome.
