Yes you're right he did remain a child because he had a bad childhood so he relied on other kids to live it with him, however he did take it too far. A man his age doesn't have sleep overs with kids despite his childhood. There may have been some greed involved but he wasn't exactly innocent.. The most truthful and best even given tribute i have ever heard.
Thank you Madonna. For saying out loud these words that so many had felt inside but displaced them in a way that we didn't mention or spoke of.
I feel disappointed and regret for not having tried my best on defending Michael and for being in a doubt.
And to have been so apathetic and careless in the past few months when he was still in life.

I am a student of body language and looking in her eyes, and hearing her voice almost cracking, I believe that she was sincere in what she was saying! Granted, her memory of it might be a bit different than what some book says, but admitting that she failed him, and putting us all in that same boat, was an incredibly courageous thing to do! Especially in front of thousands of her peers, and billions of Michael's fans! He WILL live on from generation to generation, because he is THE KING!!!

I was really moved by this speech because what she says about him is true. she also talks about herself, but not in an egomaniac way. it's just obvious that they were the 2 biggest symbols of the 80s pop music, and that his death made her , in a way, thought about herself being older. like it is really the end of an era...

@AmbeRussell Not to use your remark as an excuse, but it is funny people would report dumb crap about him getting along or not with someone, but why didn't these same gossipers say something about him taking those drugs just to sleep and all the medicine and crap around him all the time? If someone was around to report on this gossip they should have acted sooner on the serious matters. I really couldn't imagine Mike saying something really bad about anyone.

@roblou62 the problem was that he had too many yes sir around him. he would say i want ribs at a chinese and he got it. too many ppl were afraid of him and thats why his drug abuse problem was not reported and if u tried to say something, he would cut u off from his life. and he may or not have siad the rude things about madonna, but its funny she wasnt by his side when he was going through his troubles, only when he was at the top and his best and after he pasted away

To be honest she could not have helped him in public because it would have added fuel to the fire, but in private she could have tried, but even his own sister Janet had difficulties in this. The truth be told he was an adult and everybody else had their own life to live. You can provide support but only to a limit. I don't fault anyone for his death except Michael. Ultimately we rule ourselves. :O(

@roblou62 but the dr did not have to give him that medicine. what he was taken was not suppose to be injected into the body or even used outside the hospital. he did have a problem that he need to get fixed and only he could fix, but when a dr, who has signs papers sayin they will do everything they can to keep some1 alive, is feeding him harmful drugs is not helping mj case at all. n if madonna was there for him for more than a flash, maybe she could have helped him out n showed ppl cared

"Life is what happens to you when you're busy planning it." So true. Michael didn't plan to be accused of molesting. He did not plan to be belittled in the media/tabloids for everything he did but that is exactly what happened to him. All those things affected his life. We do not rule ourselves at times. There are things that we have no control over.

I do accept any friend of his who privately supported him but in my opinion that support should have been taking publicly. There is no way I would not publicly support a close friend who is going through hell if I truly believe they were innocent. As for Janet, she didn't have a hard time supporting her brother. There was a gag order not to talk.
