Oh one more thing : look at the stats : The s4 needs a not so impressive 5.7 secs to get to 100km/60mph while the stock Mas 4200 is launched in 4.9sec. That's almost a second,Ganuv. its an interesting race i thought the massa with about 360 bhp would have beaten audi,the audi which looks like a Typ 8D 2.7 with 261 bhp,so maybe the audis been tuned,the 4wd wont effect the take of speed,the 4wd system on a car will only effect performance of cars with less than approx 200hp,when ford made the sierra cosworth 4x4 thet increased it to 224 hp up from 204 on 2wd and it was still marginally faster to 60

Audi took off quicker due to the 4200 having the flappy paddle and the s4 being a manual!! The 4-wheel doesnt help getting off the mark infact the opposite, and is that s4 is even standard? Most likely been mapped plus more am guessing

4wd does help getting off the mark, 4 wheels driving as opposed to two. it's simple physics.

Hmm no it doesnt 4 wheel drive bogs down on the line, proven by the fact you can bugger up the 4 wheel drive system by going straight off the line, meant go gently go then give it some!!! rear wheel drive gets off the mark quicker then 4 wheel drive!!!

If you drive the same power through four wheels, you are reducing the power to each wheel. this means that all the power is driving the car rather than just spinning up the back two. The rwd later has the advantage when traction is not as important, as the system is much lighter. This is clearly demonstrated in the clip. Watch how quickly the audi takes off. Btw, how do you know the maserati has the cambiocorsa box? It looks manual to me from the attitude of the car while changing gear.

Why is the Maseratti driver bad?  The Maseratti(370bhp) does 0-60 in 5.1 and quarter in 13.20 which is weak compared to stage 3 s4. StgIII s4(460bhp and 550bhp 100+ oct) 0-60 4sec and under and quarter either low 12 secs or 11's. On 100oct program def high 11's. To me this looked like a stage 3, maybe wrong though. But if Im right the Maseratti never stood a chance. Both nice cars by the way.

I have a maserati and my friend has an S4, so i am more than qualified to say the mazza will chew up and spit out an S4! also that car is not a 3200 its a 4200gt without the Turbos that the 3200 has. The 3200 is a monster i had a 360 and the mazza would eat that aswell. Go and drive one!!
