  • Say are you tired?

  • i have lap band; surgery was july 2008. I have never had luck with it. I really want mine removed as well. I paid for the procedure out of pocket, so I think my insurance won't cover it for removal. Is your situation similar? HOw are you feeling now? I have a constant pain all the time all the time now. I have an appt with my primary Dr. I hope she will give a referral.

  • @MsMoesuckra My insurance covered removal and they were going to pay for another WLS but I refused. I will never do that to my body again. I hope you do get it out. While in Israel I found an American woman that lives near me that had a failed lapband. She had hers out because it almost killed her. It was just more confirmation for me that WLS is a mistake. It's slow to lose on your own, but it is possible. I only have 40 pounds til I reach my first real goal. I've lost 120+ pounds. Good luck!!

  • @Ineedmorelives Thank you so much. I have been putting this off for a while. I felt ashamed that I spent 15k of the family money, I didn't want to have pay another 15k. I think it is worth it now. I have such a hard time, I can't eat healthy foods, like grilled chicken and Vegtables. Some days, I can only eat crunchy foods. SUch a nightmare. Thanks for your help! Good Luck to you!

  • @MsMoesuckra Well, think of it this way - you are going to spend the money anyway, so it should be on something lasting like your health. What is done is done, so never look back like it was a waste. You learned something, now you're fixing it. It should be a lot cheaper to take it out than it is to put it in. If you are not eroded, its less than a 10 min surgery. Your long-term health is more important than money; period!

  • Its not your fault.. they put this in YOUR FOOOODS!!! azodicarbonamide

It is a chemical whose primary use is “in the production of foamed plastics.” In the United States it is also used as a food additive and flour bleaching agent.

  • WHy not do turbo fire? Dont cheat your lifespan with horrible things like a lap band?! you guys can do this! and be proud you DID IT! cleanse your systems first with Paranix Klenz kit and just walk ... doing turbo fire is great.. 20 min non stop work out is best :D

OH NO DONT EAT BREAD -- they put FOAM in it. Azodicarbomide

  • HATE MY BAND! I'm revising to a VSG next month. GL to you!

  • @BytchEPoo Hated mine too. Ruined every day that I had with it. I would like you to explore other methods of weight loss before you have another weight loss surgery though. I know you probably feel hopeless, but it is possible to lose on your own. Surgery has a lot of negatives, and I know you see the short term, but the long term is important too. You want to feel great in a year, but you also want to live a really long healthy life too. Just please think about it before you have surgery. GL!

  • thanks

  • i know its not anywhere compared but they are messing me up and it crazy and tomorrow willbe the third time and they anticipate 3 more app. with in a few weeks im like ouch!! but hey your beautiful god bless you.!!! you can do it with out it. think how inspiring you can be just ging thru all this. thanks for your story

  • Good luck on your new Life, it sounds exciting!

  • I am sorry this happened but don't give up get a new band, it works i have lost 71 pounds and there are other people who have had leaks but when they get new band they lose weight.

  • Im so sorry that this happend to you. Wow, just toally shocked w/ your outcome. Now we can figure out why you never had restriction - No fluid in the band & errosion. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be and you have other means to reach to your goal. Please keep us updated after the removal of your band. Wishing u the best.

  • My lapband removal date is Dec 23rd. I can't believe it's this soon. I'll update after this.

  • wow! I am so sorry about this situation. It seems that you have came to grips with it and are making the best decision for you. Did they say what the pallup was caused by? Did they say where you band is? Since you can not see it on the photo? I wish you all the best with the removal and your move to Israel. Eating right, controlling the portions and EXERCISE can get it done. Good luck! If possible please update us again after the removal. Thank you for sharing your experience. Wendy

  • I don't know what caused it, but the picture I showed was the area inside of my stomach where the band is supposed to be. It's just wide open when it should be so small that the camera should have had a hard time passing it. The report says "There is no endoscopic evidence of narrowing/restriction from the lap band in the entire examined stomach." They went all the way into my duodenum. I have a long journey ahead of me and I'm not really looking forward to it atm! I'll update soon.
