Yeah it is out. It's basically the same as the 2G. Just faster performance and more space. The 2G 8gb model is still available. The camera was a rumor but I'm not sure about the built in mic.

They were going to release an ipod maybe similiar to this one, but they were having to many problems with the camera, so they have delayed the release, and thats why the 3rd gen now kinda sucks, because they couldnt put a camera on it, so they left most of the things the same
