  • it puzzels me why people watch hunting vid and dont like dem what the fcuk are on u looking at des videos in the first place and leaving silly comment, ps keep up the good work.greetings from limerick....

  • @madforcountrymusic Cheers mate thanks for watching.

  • how if your dog kills your ferret ..

  • @47lionking The dogs are raised around ferrets from day one & realise there not game.

  • very cool and good training

  • nice dogs

  • dude cool combo im impressed that lurcher looks like he has a little pit in him ,and what kind of terrier is that those are some great dogs

  • @allenco65 The Lurcher is a Bitch, unfortunately she had to be put to sleep because of a serious problem with her ears. She was Whippet/Staffordshire Bull terrier X Pit Bull terrier/Greyhound. She was a good Bitch and served her owner well. Between myself and three of my friends we still have her offspring who are coming a long very nicely. The terrier is a Jack Russell. Thanks for watching.

  • @lordblighty I have heard that using a ferret for rats instead of rabbits can turn a good ferret bad, have you found this at all, because i am thinking of using my ferret for ratting but am not sure at the moment

  • @lankeypete101 I've also heard the same but I've never had a problem. There is a risk using a Ferret for ratting, but IMO it all depends on whether you are willing to take those risks to get the job done? From my experience, The smaller Jill's tend to work better on rats. All the best with your ferreting mate.

  • @GloriaGutbucket youre so full of yourself

  • @GloriaGutbucket Well they're not my dogs for a start, they belong to friends of mine, and on top of that they don't do anything illegal with their dogs.

Now I've answered your question, I'd like to know what YOU know about using dogs to control other pests like Badgers and Foxes, which is legal in most countries across the world. Are you actually in a position to pass a judgement on the types of pest control you set out to brand as "Disgusting" ?

  • Tell you what, could do with you to come down my Dads and sort his rats out. his ground is teaming with them. Holes everywhere. He keeps hens and other fowl, so they are too well-fed. A bloke comes down to take pot shots at them with his 177 and he's never disappointed!

  • that's a good setup of animals haha.

the ferret can pretty much get into any hole where a rat can get into

and amazing dog thats part greyhound, good idea with having it part greyhound because of their low level of body fat and ridiculous stamina.

    awesome video !

  • I've got ferrets but never tried them hunting i would be scared i lost them lol !!

Would love to give it a go looks fun and i love rabbit cooked with leeks & cider yum yum!

  • Do the dogs never go for the ferret??

  • @MsLouise32

No they are socialised with Ferret's and live stock from an early age, so the Ferret's become part of the pack.

  • that is a very moscular hound friend,is that a bully whippet?

  • @Spoonher41 She is Staff/Whippet X Bull/Greyhound.

    Thanks for watching.

  • sure you are right but i know what im on about. im a ex pest contol officer and been working terriers and ferrets since the age of 15 which was 35 years ago

  • @kevin48800

I'm not saying you don't know what you're talking about, If I thought you were a clown I would of deleted your post from my video mate. What terriers do you keep pal?

    Thanks for the comments.

  • no good putting poison down for rats they eat it and breed before they die so the babys have it in the blood when they are born then eat the poison like food.

  • @kevin48800

Every situation requires a different method to get rid of pests. Sure enough using terriers is the most fun, and I prefer using terriers than having to use any other method but without having a look at the job no one can say for sure what's best. The best advice anyone can give is that he gets someone in that knows what he's doing.

  • Thanks for the video and killing those disgusting rats.

  • what kind of lurcher is it? looks good!

  • @Fairless55

    She is a Bull X.

  • pretty cool how the dogs ignore the ferret and don't try kill it like the rats. team work.

  • @coralbay00 Get them used to each other from an early age and they'll be fine. Thanks for viewing.

  • I love this set up.

  • that's a great dogs, I love the hunting dogs

  • nice dogs, very well trained =] I've got a lurcher which is still a pup. He's has hunting in his family. But still needs to learn to start catching rabbits properly, rather than sprinting from a long distance away, then getting too tired to chase one. Got any tips on how to train him??

  • the lurcher is fucking rapid.

  • @666gravedigger

Cheers mate, she's a handy bitch. She had a litter of 7 last august and the pups are coming together real nice. I kept a dog back myself, My pal who's bitch it is kept a bitch pup and another pal of mine who's got the Sire to the pups has kept two back (a bitch and a Dog). The other pups have gone to working homes so it'll be real interesting to see how they come on over the next few years.

I'm really looking forward to getting the pup going.

  • @lordblighty

i have a massive mouse problem in my house

do you think a ferret would be a good pet choice to deal with this?

i was gonna get a cat but... i dunno

  • @Mikeybetts

If you've got a massive problem then you might need to get a pest controller in. Cats will kill mice and will keep them at bay but I'd get a professional in to have a look, as the problem might be worse than you think it is.

I wouldn't use a Ferret to get rid of them.

    Best of luck.

  • @lordblighty - pest controllers generally only offer a temporary solution... it's better to get an animal to kill another animal... that's if you want a pet.

  • @Amidat

Using a terrier will only provide a temporary solution as well if he doesn't sort out what's attracting the pests in the first place. Rats are real survivors so if he's got a MASSIVE problem then he'll need more than just a lad turning up with his terrier to kill a few. He needs some one with experience to look at what needs to be done, whether that's using terriers, poison or traps.

  • @lordblighty - that is correct... but he said he wanted a pet...not something temporary. Of course the first problem is to find the holes that they are getting in. Plugging those are the first thing. Not to mention - a mouse and a rat problem are too different things. A cat can certainly keep mice at bay though... I never used to like cats... but we had a mice problem years ago. WHen my sister got a cat...they stopped. WHen she gave away the cat... they came right back.. even worse than b4

  • no no a cat is no good u should get a terrier cuz cat is not a good hunter....let me tell u about terrier they r very good hunter of rat and other vermin...so the terrier i think best is a toy fox terrier or toy rat terrier cuz the jack russell, fox terrier ,and the rat terrier is only for rat..

  • @Mikeybetts As long as you have no babies or real small children. A hunting ferret can and will take the face of a 'little baby in a heartbeat. Never keep a ferret in the house any way. Especially where little toddlers or newborns are. Put them back in the cage when they are finished working. Pound for pound they are natures most efficient killers. Handle them twice a day every day.

  • @Mikeybetts - it depends on the prey drive of the cat... or terrier... if you domesticate either too much... they might just play with the mice or observe them rather than kill them

  • great vid and a nice team working... that ferret was working well no messing about and the dogs were trained for the bolt .....would like to see you lads on a few rabbit sets as well if you got the time bang a few vids up

  • @sherbert500

Will do mate, Thanks for watching.

  • @lordblighty no problem m8 just glad to see you boys enjoying it

  • crazy i have ferrets as pets its weird to think of them as hunters but thats what they do !

  • wow, nice team! we've recently been getting mice in our house and my dog (english staff) has caught 4 so far! i didnt even know dogs caught mice until i saw our's do it!! lol. he's having fun, every time we go out into the kitchen...i see his hunting instincts kick in. :-D

  • nice never thought of that i didnt see the ferret get anything though but i bet he whas a big help

  • @lucassrocks1 We only want the ferret to flush the rats/rabbits out to the waiting dogs/nets, but sometimes the Ferret will get stuck in.

  • @lordblighty yeah i thought he would flush them out nice idea

  • @lordblighty

using ferrets and dogs... very clever

i always use my pet ferret "Cyrano" (si-ra-no) to het the mice and rats in my house... he's done me proud SO many times

  • Nice team work the ferret getting out the holes and the dogs killing nice job.

  • This video is brilliant... what cross is the lurcher? Ours is whippet/collie x bedlington. Great all rounder. thanks for the vid

  • @ImDaveCrazy Hello mate, The Lurcher Bitch is Whippet/Staff X Greyhound/Bull. Glad you liked the video.

  • @lordblighty What a brilliant sounding mix. Whats the temperament and intelligence like, are they good with kids and can you ask for them in pet shops?

you guys pro's then i take it. good vid.

  • @justnotcricket

She was bred to work, not as a pet. She has a great life doing what she instinctively loves to do. In general Lurchers tend to be well natured around people and other dogs, they're lazy around the house but need regular exercise.

  • great dogs better than any pest control.

  • @ChaarlieFTL Cheers mate, glad you liked it. Best of luck with the ferreting.

  • All new Rat Attack Smoker Mk 2 now available from Shoot Right Products . Demo videos available on the website site and You Tube.

  • We used to use lurchers when wer big in2 the hunting, but we jsut go a ferret the other day, still needs trained, think wer just gonna use the nets, people payin up to £10 here for a live rabbit :)

  • @fleego17 Best of luck mate. Some Ferrets will work better than others, but the more work you give the ferret the more adept it will become at it's job. All the best.

  • why are there rats actually in the stream?

  • @PFCAhammed Because thats what rats do.

We've had some real intelligent people posting on this video Jackawoof.

  • @lordblighty oh sorry John Craven, not everyone lives in the countryside

  • @PFCAhammed

You don't need to live in the countryside to know that, you've just got to have a bit of common sense you thick sh!t.

  • @lordblighty so in your mind, it's common sense to know the aquatic habits of rodent life? don't know what university of life you went to, i'll wager it was a pikey polytechnic though

  • @PFCAhammed You're a thick piece of sh!t, most rats live near the water streams/rivers/brooks/Sewers etc. So it doesn't take a genius to work out that they will have some swimming skill does it.

Much like the smelly Bengali's they live near the water and are filthy creatures.

  • @lordblighty yes because everyone knows that cities are full of streams/rivers/brooks etc. pillock.

  • @PFCAhammed

There's not a lot you do know is there you mentally retarded imbecile. Anyway haven't you got a sister to slap the disobedience out of or something? You never know she could be wearing lipstick or something!

  • @lordblighty HAHAHAHAHAHAH FUCKING EXCELLANT HAHAHAH

  • @PFCAhammed - NYC has many streams and rivers.... and that's part of the reason they have a lot of rats... taking a romantic walk at night in the park near one of the many rivers can get dangerous... it used to be from robbers... but now that crime went down... it's the rats. People walk their dogs and let them chase the rats all the time... fun for the dogs.

  • @PFCAhammed FUCK OFF BACK TO YOUR SHIT HOLE OF A COUNTRY YOU BENGALI BASTARD SON OF A MULE.

  • @PFCAhammed - ummm rats are very good swimmers.... they are very very adaptable...that's why they are such pests

  • WTF YOU FERRL .. You suck whofeeds rats to their Dogs ? You suck and i hope your dogs get a desiese from this .

  • @missZOE19 We're not feeding the rats to the dogs you thick slag, the dogs are just killing them so that the rats don't spread disease about that could make someone ill.

  • @lordblighty plus, if you see a rat in some areas, your suposed to 'attempt' to kill them anyway.

  • @missZOE19 DONT BE STUPID YOU THICK STUPID LUMP OF DOG SHITE

  • Some advice please. We rent a property, had rats under the decking and in the rockery when we moved in. Got a terriermen round but rats evaded them everytime. I now have 3 ferrets. One is last years kit and 2 are 7 weeks old. Rats still coming back, ferrets kept in coop in garden. Why haven't rats f'ed off when ferrets are about? Can't let my oldest ferret out 'cause they need to be trained 2 years rabbiting before meeting rats apparently?

  • @kaeso100

The more work you give the Ferret the better it'll be.

If you've got a problem with Rats then I'd use Ferret's and dogs (preferably Terriers) the way my friends did in the video to get rid of them.

Make sure the terriers are broke to Ferrets or they will end up ripping the Ferret up as well.

  • @lordblighty Thanks. Cause we rent, ferret proofing the garden is nearly impossible. Greyhound at one side of fence and main road at other. So many nooks and crannys to contend with. Nearly lost my oldest (1 yr) ferret a few times from small gaps behind walls/decking/fencing etc. I thought the smell of ferrets would scare off rats? Plus (brown) rats are vicious....don't want my ferrets going in willynilly on a 1st atempt and coming out missing an eye?!

  • @kaeso100

If your ferrets are pets, then don't use them. Try and find some one local to you that has working terriers and ferrets they'll probably jump at the chance to do it for you for free. All the best.

  • that bull cross looks lke my mates dog bullet

  • Its gd how the dogs are so steady with the ferret-do you prefer the jill ferrets i take it?

  • @Ferreterlad

Yeah the smaller Jill's tend to work better from my experience. Although I've not really been into using Ferrets that long myself.

What do you find works best mate?

  • @lordblighty We use the smaller jills,as soon as the RATS smell and here the FERRET they are OFF

  • Good video but has anyone seen ALLAH I NEED MY ARSEHOLE CLEANING HAHAH

  • nice video mate. good to see lads using ferrets for ratting. that last catch by the bull cross is quality.lol. cant beat a bit of rattin!

  • Nice one Lordy!

  • awesome dogs dude

  • thanks mate

  • why feed em ?

  • @timhemp Because if they catch something and kill it underground, then they'll sit on it and eat it, and could stay there for a very long time.

    All the best.

  • awesome work mate am just geting in to ratting do u use hobs or jils?

  • Use small jill's you can inbreed them to get them smaller

  • @jackawoof yea but inbreeding can cause the kits to be deformed when born or already dead mate, its chancey

  • @timhemp Yeah the Jills tend to be better. If you get a good Jill you wont go far wrong. Feed your Ferrets before you take them out.

  • Proper bit of rattig there my man ;-) not like that three legged thing on the other channel lol,oh and great chioce of music for this vid. 5*

  • Cheers mate.

  • why dont the dogs attack the ferret

  • Because there introduced at a early age, just make sure your with them and never leave them alone when your introducing them

  • @landryfan123 because they're trained to attack whatever the ferret chases out of the hole, dogs are smart, something people dont realise, the dogs know that the ferret purpose is for it to chase something outta the hole or burrow so they can kill it

  • Nice to see some of you lads still hunt over there keep up the good work boys.

  • xstreemquestoutdoors, Please excuse the gobshite who was running his mouth a couple of days ago (As you can see I've deleted his comments). He's more than likely an obese neglected orphan who's struggling to come to terms with his fathers closet homosexuality. Once again apologies and thanks for commenting on my video!

    Cheers mate!

  • Thanks, it means quite a bit. I deal with nut cases like this all the time in my business! Hope to see some more videos, kill the hell out of those rats!

    Cheers mate!

  • @lordblighty

please dont tell me you got an anti commenting on this video.

  • Yeah Kentishsteve, he was an Anti or a f*cking idiot with nothing better to do, amounts to about the same thing IMO.

    All the best

  • cracking looking dog that, got him in good shape

  • He is a she mate. Decent bitch she is.

    Thanks for the comments.

  • sick looking lurcher what bull breed is she crossed to?

  • Fooking Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice lurcher!! 1 thing i couldnt have as 1 of my lurchers tho is that the 1 in the vid doesnt have a soft mouth. just personal opinion really

  • It's a Bull X mate, I'm yet to see one that isn't hard mouthed.

    What type do you keep?

What ever they are all the best of luck with your Lurchers mate.
