@33vishnu The Qur'an states that the Universe is expanding, It does not say it "exploded." SCIENCE came to a conclusion that if it is expanding then it MUST have exploded sometime from "nothing." The Qur'an says HE (ALLAH) has created the heavens and the earth, and it is HE who is "expanding" it. As an atheist, one of my responses would be: the fact that the light of the moon is reflected light was known before the apparent time of Muhammad - the Greek astronomers knew it, for example. Why not worship Aristotle, who preceded Muhammad by a thousand years?

@penyumerah02 Using the modern dating system, Aristotle was born in 384 BCE and Muhammad was born in 570 CE. So Aristotle was born 954 years earlier. Only a third of what he wrote has survived to the present day but his writings on astronomy demonstrate that he understood that the moon's light was reflected light. The idea didn't originate in the Quran.
