Really ace videos. Love the technique with the cherry spin center! Great looking bowl, the bark will certainly come off eventually, but it will still be cool.
how long do you think you would have to leave that bowl before you could sand and finish it? and where is best to leave it? somewhere warm and dry i guess? - Great videos thanks.
This is JET propaganda. The turning techniques are sound, but the finishing and dismissal of the serious issues of curing such a light walled green piece worry me.
I would add to balance out the content of the video to use a product such as Pentacryl to 'cure' the green product in this video.
You need to make sure your tools are good and sharp. You get the long shavings from green wood, the small chips are from drier wood. Good luck to you!
This actually took almost two days - the time was spent cutting down a tree, making the bowl blank, and then getting the video of the project from a couple angles. If you have a bowl blank ready, you should be able to do this in just a few hours.
Even though I know i could never do this in 22 minutes like you did - It's cool to see this project from beginning to end. How long did this bowl really take you to make?
Great video! Thanks for the clear and informative instruction

Nice work, good to see some fine basic techniques and a little of what you can do with wood.
