"Fifteen minutes with you, oh I wouldn't say no...oh people see no worth in you, but I do." This is without a doubt, my favorite song of theirs. It is also without a doubt, one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. Everytime I hear it, I get chills. Fucking mesmerizing tune. Brilliant, fucking brilliant. "...take me to the haven of your bed, was something that you never said..."
Johnny Marr was in IKEA Warrington last week...He looks great for an old bloke but he wasnt too amused when i started throwing stock at him from the gardening dept....He would of laughed it off in the 1980s !!!!!!
Johnny is looking for himself by playing with one shitty band or another and wasting away his talent. So does Andy and Mike. It's a shame that we cannot see them playing together.
Mike Joyce was never good. And if The Smiths reformed they would be selling out, which they will never do. I do think that the severed alliance is a sad thing though.
Mike Joyce was a brilliant drummer especially for the no thrills rhythm section in the smiths it wouldnt be the same but i totally agree the smiths legacy is so strong their would be no need for a reformation
He's playing with a band called The Cribs, but he also played with Modest Mouse and The The - i know someone who knows him and he gave me one of his plectrums with Johnny encribed on it!!
I met Johnny in Leeds when he was doing a CD signing with The Cribs and we got talking and he signed me his book, he gave me a plectrum with "Johnny" enscribed on it as well!
It's a black Ernie Ball one, the "JOHNNY" is in gold... How about yours?

It's like he sings the shittiest, lowest moments in our lives but makes them sound poetically eloquent and depressingly beautiful.
