There are groups of us in the U.S. that collect and restore these old campers.I guess the equivalent feeling on your part would be to watch us have a demolition derby with Austin Healy's,Jag's,and Triumphs.

Never seen a Healey in a banger race but plenty of Jags and Triumphs have been, and still are, getting DD'ed here most weekends.

Most are very rusty and would be a difficult restoration but there's always some that were far too good to be wrecked. I had to be restrained once when I saw a '62 Thunderbird line up on the track, and as for the all Rolls Royce race...

There are a lot of car restorers here in the UK too, but we can't save all the old cars and caravans.

I allways got exciting ass a kid,when the caravans ripp apart.We had in Holland a show where this was in.The show is still on tv,but the caravan racing part is put out,since 1987.
