  • While you're in class studying "peace" some belligerent fucker smacks you over the head...

And that's how it all starts folks.

  • i disagree, i think war is ingrained in humans. We are a tribal animal, and since the beginning of time, when a strong tribe met a weaker one, they destroyed them.Every time.

  • @redrose971 But as humans, we have the capacity to override our biological conditioning. We do it every time somebody pisses us off and we don't smash their heads in. We did it after WWII, when the victors didn't annihilate the losers. Our genes can express themselves in many different ways depending on our environmental conditioning.

  • He's wrong about war not being in our genes. Just watch apes or monkeys encountering another group. It is in our nature to be tribal - to hate the outsider.

  • @nugen11111 Humans are classified as apes. If you study behaviour of OTHER apes, you will see many similarities.

  • @ORCA4312 then raising consciousness is a priority.

  • AIDS could be stopped by testing and placing the infected into 'QUARANTINE' - an old concept that needs a modern facelift. Quarantine need not be a bad thing, but it is anathema to those who long for 'inclusion' and 'tolerance'. (The Gay agenda and 'privacy issues'). But political correctness comes at a high cost in human life. It's not worth infecting millions. Sorry Sam, throwing good money after bad within a flawed system is insane. PC attitudes allow the virus to spread, not war mongering.

  • If you like Sam, you will like Erich Fromm

  • i dont know much about this man but he has one of the best quotes about love to me

"We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly"

  • I saw a presentation by Sam Keen that he gave at my college a few years ago. He is absolutely outstanding.

  • up the mule

  • I am a big fan of Sam Keen --- have read most of his books, and went to one of his workshops.

Has a view of spirituality that modern people can live with --- no small achievement.
