I came close on 5 different contests only to come up 2nd or a finalist. The only contest I won this summer was SkinIt. Thank goodness too. I needed to pay the rent. Thanks for the compliments buddy. Wish I was your age though. I would have a lot more production ahead of me.

After the 3 consecutive typhoons that came, the Philippines has been slowly recovering. Metro Manila, which was really hit by the first of these three, recovered within a week, as the private sector miraculously came to the rescue in light of the government's inadequacy to help victims with relief efforts.

The provinces were hardly hit by the last 2 typhoons, and as of now, are still recovering. At least for now, as far as I know, the floods in the provinces have already receded and rebuilding efforts have begun. :) As for myself and my family, we had great strong rain and winds but our house and street was never flooded so we were able to help out with the donation and distribution of relief goods to those in the capital that were hard hit. :) Thank you for asking :)

How did your wife's family fare in the recent storm? I agree, running towards the shark with the crane would have been an awesome shot! It's all aluminum, I carry it around all by my self. I was going to cut it in half and have an inserting piece to put it together but I like the sturdiness and movement of it as it is so I decided to build another one 1/2 the size. I have used it inside restaurants and stuff with no problem. I'll be using it for a music video soon. Can't wait!

I'm moving along...the script has been written and I am finishing up casting. The set has been secured after a lot of smooth talking and we are going to shoot this Thursday. That will give me plenty of time to edit and get some help with it if needed.

I am taking this very very seriously now and will be using the best of the best equipment for video, sound, and lighting. It'll be the first film I've made that I won't be in! haha so of course it will go on tv right?! that's the irony of my life. I can now focus on directing the commercial rather than doing it all. I have high hopes, but of course have quite the competition including you!

haha I'm trying not to scare myself Jared. What bothers me the most is all the people in my life telling me about my potential. When I am able to prove them right, I don't know. Hopefully here. But you know me well enough where if I made it to the Final 3, I wouldn't want anyone other than you by my side to join me. Here's to 4 months from now when we can tip our glasses to our success!

Salamat Po Reg. Collisions are a great concept. Believe it or not they (Doritos) really are my favorite snack chip. IT's pretty easy to create stories around them.
