I Bought mine about a month ago, new. I must say, it was a great investment. Lots of late night game tournaments with friends. My only cons are the cheap controllers and that a lot of the tunes on the NES games don't sound right. Also, the cartridges fit snug at fist & flop around a bit after inserted. No light- zapper gun either.. 8/10.
im looking into buying 1 of these, ive noticed u have had yours 4 a while, have any problems occured yet? and i was wondering if u could tell me where i could find out wich games r compatible because i have heard lots dont work thanx.
I'm rather happy that I'm not the only one who had issues with the Down arrow on the cross-pad. Playing "Tetris" with the default controller is a pain. =(
What I'd recommend is to either use an old SNES controller with the unit, or swap the outershells of both controllers, so they match the Retro.
Not a bad review, but I'd like to see some gameplay from it if possible, I hear there's some compatibility issues with starfox and Yoshis Island and minor sound problems but that's about it. Thanks for the review I'll consider this.
I applaud the continued interest in past consoles and games and if i had no way of getting an older original system then I it's pretty cool to know that people won't let the the past die, ad I could pick something up i the far future that I'm sure will be able to play anything ad everything. Interesting machine man :)

I hate the controllers, they are cheap plastic knockoffs trying to imitate the amazing SNES Controller

but the beauty of the rd is that unlike the yobo systems, the rd allows you to port real snes controllers. That was the seller for me.

Cool man! I'd want the originals, but it is pretty neat how it plays both nes and snes. Nice review.
