  • how do i split up armies?? when i try it splits them up but how do i select them becuase they are all in one spot?? can someone help me please??

  • How come that guy playing so many games about history have chosen such a dumb nickname ? Anyway, as always - nice Lp.

  • I am playing as muscovy (now russia) and i have the huge problem that i just dont advance in technology, even though im spending all i have... forums said if you have many territories with low income that is the cause. does that mean i just have to deal with it?

  • Estland?? really?? seriously its Estonia not estland and catholic religion was forced on Estonia btw when it was conqured during the cruisades witch sucked (im Estonian :D )

  • @Deamonkiller100 maybe it was called estland back then

  • @VladLenin31296 the thing with that is that in estonian it was always ''eesti'' and the one right below it (half of it is part of estonia now) was ''liivimaa'' witch translates to estonia and livland (im not sure i think it was livland) how does a translation change? Well actually mabey it was the teutonic order's language but that would mean that everyone used that translation :/ not sure anymore xD

  • @VladLenin31296 probably not unless either it was in german (teutonic nights were germans mostly) or the translation has changed cuz the name in estonian has never changed :/

  • Watching this has made me reinstall my Europa Universalis 3 again xD

It might not be as complex as the Hearts of Iron games but it's still highly enjoyable in it's simplicity.

  • The game looks so much better with divine wind

  • easy game all u have to do is killing people

  • When your saying that this game is deep and complicated i'm thinking to my self "Man.. I've played Dwarf fortress ;) This should be a piece of cake." And I'm suposind youļl take over Riga too >=( Thats where i'm at xD

  • When you say Hello Comrades in the beginning you sound like a Drunk. Pretty fitting for Russian Language lol.

  • send a mercenary to the province :)

  • looks sooooo awsome, buying on steam now, only £9.99

  • riga

  • I'm from latvia

  • It took you WAY too long to get to the actual game dude

  • @AAGUNVIDS lollolololololol

  • @AAGUNVIDS If you had EU3 youd be doing this also

  • @AAGUNVIDS Thats how he rolls. :D

  • @AAGUNVIDS I have a friend who kinda talks like Josef, that's why I'm used to him :D

  • I'm getting a new computer this christmas and I've decided that I am going to be getting this game for it but I have one question about the game. Can you play as the United States in this game? If anyone who has this this game could answer this question for me that would be really helpful.

  • @MCB93ASSASSIN yes you can.

  • @MCB93ASSASSIN Never got to play my self yet but from what I understand you can play as different tribes or parts of America just not the whole thing though you can colonize it in game.

  • it kinda looks like total war

  • Hello. I am Looking for people who would play EUROPA UNIVERSALIS 3 (also hoi3 and vic2) but Mainly EU3 game.

We would be playing via Hamachi, very easy programme to install and play.So if anyone is interested i'd be glad to contact me , just send me PM on Youtube or reply to this comment for more Info.(prefered active people, tho everyone is absolutely welcome)also if there is any active network that would do games often i 'd join with all the people i get via this message.

  • I don't know the specifics, but what I do know of the Teutonic order was that they were a military order formed during the crusades who ended up traveling to Prussia to help "Christianize" the Baltic area, I have read horror stories of what they did to non christian people. Once the area was christian they no longer had a purpose so they turned their sword against their neighbors instead. I know this sounds overall negative but i don't have the comment space to give a more detailed history.

  • @GalliaNarbonensis I actually didnt hear much about cruelties. I read that what they did was to try and expand the german culture as well as christianity to slavs. thats why they attacked the poles and lithuania. And they went down because they didnt moderniza their armies. they kept using the same medieval tactics, when the poles tried to innovate.

  • @1111hola Poles had problems with dealing with Prussian tribes that were pagan, and in XII century king of Poland brought the teutonic order to Polish north-eastern borders, and he also gave them land to live in. then, after everyone around was christian, teutons didnt want to go away and they started to attack neighbours. They were dealt with in XVII century, when they switched from catolicism, and became a vassal to poland/lithuania

  • @Kvothe1994 you mean when the poles attacked them and reduced them to what then became east prussia and forced them to be their vassals? What I know is that after that the teutonic order became prussia, inherited brandemburg, and then defeated and took over poland. Its history. every nation does the same.

  • @1111hola i meant that teutonic order was secularized and was converted to lutheranism by the grand master of the order, and then the state became a duchy of prussia, vassalized by poland instead of annexing it. When Brandenburg dynasty of Habsburgs inherited prussia, there was already no teutonic order for about a century.

  • @Kvothe1994 oh ok then, you seem to know much more about this than me; and also I dont remember what are we arguing about.

  • Don't feel bad about not knowing German history, for it is rather obscure before 1848. Even more obscure is Germanic History. A relatively short story to tell you is that the Gothic kingdoms stretched from the Western border of the Eastern Roman Empire all the way to Portugal. The Visigothic kingdom and the Ostrogothic Kingdom, the latter of which ruled all of Italy for some time. Fun stuff. :P The Visigothic Kingdom also lasted to 711CE.

  • What's this mod that is installed here?

  • I enjoy your LP series, good stuff :)

  • silly???

  • u basterd josef ive got hoked to yet another game u told me

  • When I was little I thought the USA fought Napoleon in WWI.

  • @ComradeAlpharius Half-true.

  • @ComradeAlpharius when YOU were little?

  • @ComradeAlpharius would you be angry if i shot you for such incompetence?

  • pierdolony krzyżak

  • @TheNavyJust

Catholic is important because it gives 2 colonists/year. Another factor is narrowminded slider and land/naval slider (0.2 per move to naval and narrowminded). The problem with narrowminded is that it will slow the research and block westrenisation.

  • @TheNavyJust i need to know how to give fleets leaders because i started a new game as milan and i got quest for the new world really early but i can't equip an explorer to my fleet for some reason. do i need a higher navel tech or what?

  • @Daleksaresupreme1

You need quest of the new world NI, If you have go to recruit leaders section and recruit explorer then go to the ship (preferably light ship like barque) and assign the explorer by clicking n the place where no leader is written. You can assign leaders if the ship is in port or not moving, then go exploring. When you discovered something worthy send a cog and load it with a cavalry regiment (commanded by a conquistador), slay the natives and send colonists.

  • @comnenus42 its ok i worked it out but thanks anyway

  • @TheNavyJust can the orthodox church form a nation?

  • @TheNavyJust what did the AI form HER as in the actual country. that almost never happens

  • I just got the game a couple of days ago, its VERY HARD to really getting on something besides the military stuff (yet is very complicated though), I hope your videos help me out a bit. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT MONEY, the tutorial is CRAP and so it is the MANUAL. Damn!!

    Bolshoiye spasivo tovarish Stalin! Hurra!

  • @afpossebrazda play as a quite nation like Britain. Thats how I started to understand the game

  • @FsimulatorX Thanks, I'll make another try now. Last nite I played as Muscovy, starting in 1399. I managed to grow the country into quite a nice empire, covering most of today european russia, I turned my kingdom into an empire and then into Russia.

Then I had the problem that I lagged too behind from everyone elses tech levels. Even the most crappy nations like Riga for example had better land and naval techs. Just dont get the tech thing so far, but i have a rough idea though.

  • @afpossebrazda Riga beat you in tech cause its smaller. More provinces the more expensive tech gets. Stability also

  • @afpossebrazda buy victoria 2 it is like this game, made by the same people but is simpler you can get it on amazon

  • @afpossebrazda You learned the hard way. Paradox NEVER makes good tutorials for their games :p

  • @TheNavyJust LOL yeah i know but if your after territory north africa is an easy target. o just tech trade and gov untill you quest for the new world and set sale for the land burgers and frys

  • There are no happy Catholic family's...

  • @TheNavyJust my advise is build a navy and take territory of some muslim countrys

  • Brilliant video.

  • @TheNavyJust me and the ottomans rule most of modern day ukriane but poland declared war on me and a bunch of russian factions joined them

  • dude, you suck at history

  • @TheNavyJust Its ok i started getting 0.35 colonists a year just randomly around 1468, dont ask me how. I did have war with Byzantium in 1431 and took some territory in the bolkens and turkey. One of them might have been a centers of trade. The comet thing happens to me ALOT i allways say "stop looking at the sky"

  • @TheNavyJust thanks so much i can't tell you how helpful you've been just one question, will westerising give me colonists?

  • @Daleksaresupreme1 I believe I read somewhere that only christians generate colonists automatically. For other nations you need to get the Colonial Ventures national idea.

  • im realy annoyed by your stuttering

  • Thanks for this video, this is really good for those of us who aren't sure if we want to buy this game or not. Thanks again!

  • can some one help me. im playing as morocco and ive taken over most of north africa but i dont have any colonists. do i need to westernise?

  • @Daleksaresupreme1 ill be honest im a noob to the game and have only played like an hour but from my hours on the wiki im pretty sure you do need to westernise

  • @Legitimatemuffins im a noob too but how do i westernise

  • Have you ever played as Scotland?

  • i always like to start as a small country then work my way up gives me more of a in control feel

  • It is painful to listen to this guy talk. They need a better speaker to review these games.

  • @CraigDirty he's not reviewing it he's doing a let's play of it, if you're going to troll at least do it well

  • @CraigDirty ok......NERD!

  • I find this game way more a challenge than HOI2

  • I love this game, but this game will kick in you in the balls and shit on your chest if you don't know what you're doing.

  • hey, would you know if there's the majahapit empire in the island of Java, near Indonesia? if not, they should add it.

  • I thought this game implemented a textured map, can anybody tell me about it??

  • I remember watching this last year, now that I finally got the game I'm going to watch it again.

  • Yeah Tuetons are scary looking knights. >:(

  • i really love this game and i play it almost every day, but for me its victoria 2 or hearts of iron 2. just because i find the holy roman empire and papal states shit so annoying and that if you declare war upon 1 small state the whole christian empire will declare war on you

  • @lolypopNL I agree. However, there are other options of course, like the Russian or Italian nations.

  • @RaybornButtercups true, but then you have the possibility of them declaring a holy war on you. (it can happen on unorthodox factions as well not only islamic factions.) trust me, it doesnt look pretty to be fighting the christian world.

  • @lolypopNL I guess it also has to do with when you play the game. If you start from the beginning, you're entirely at the mercy of Holy Rome, however, if you start after the reformation, there's usually more lee way for going against the Emperor.

  • This game looks so awesome, but I'm pretty sure it'll be too hard for me. I played Civilization a lot but I never totally mastered it.

    BUT IT LOOKS SO COOL

  • Is it worth playing when theres no actual battles to be fought?

  • @Olekander

Depends. Have you ever played the Creative Assembly's games? Did you get bored with any of their battle sequences? If so, the battles in EU are not going to satisfy you whatsoever.

If you get bored during a Total War game's CAMPAIGN MAP sequence... then your pretty guaranteed to dislike this game.

I liked the game... but I admit it appeals to a very specific kind of fanbase that won't fill most players' satisfactions.

  • @tenchimuyo69 Thanks for the reply. I WILL play a purely strategy based game, IF it's detailed and the decisions you make are vital. Imagine empire total war, but without the fighting, that would be ludicrous! If this game has only campaign as good as any of the TW series, its not worth it. I am impressed by the fact that all the factions are playable, and the research seems decent.

  • gotta work on your english lol

  • Spies are actually very useful, you can get the claims of a province that's not one of your own and therefore you will get very little revolt risk in that province after you conquer it... Spies work on several other things like insiting troop desertion, killing a general, insiting revolts etc., though they cost money and many of the times lots of prestige, speccially if you fail. So if you have a high spy efficiency you should definitly try some :P

  • No offence but I just have to say I hate the way you speak. It's like you stop in middle of the sentence and make a sound like a aa a a.... again no offence but it annoys me. Otherwise great video with good introduction of the game. Thank you for the video :D!

  • I think you should learn how to speak properly before making a video like this one.

  • @Taraborn He speaks good english, there is no need for your bitchy comment.

  • doocots...dooocots... I'm just gonna call it gold... what a retard.

  • Are there any countries in Antarctica you can play as? :D?!

  • @Conmonman theres never been a country in antartica

  • @Cinimod237 Argentina claims territory in Antarctica, and citizens of Argentina have been born there.

  • "now lets look at all those things up here so you know what they are"

    *skips five minutes ahead*

  • i have a question... when i play the game my fog of war looks like some kind of a dark wind and it makes my game lag a little....how did you make your fog of war still?

  • @xxxCrysisxxx99 He is playing Heir to the throne, the dark wind fog of war is for divine wind. If it makes your game lag, google search "Divine Wind Faster Graphics Pack". It's identical to the original graphics except it makes your game run a hell of a lot faster.

  • It's pronounced: duckets. not doo-cats

  • Infilltrating the administration of a country is so useful.

  • Lithuania!!

  • start the tutorial and skip intro at 4:45

  • gr8

  • GREAT CHOICE!

  • Does anybody know if a Zoostorm computer with Intel Pentium D 3 MHz processor and 4 GB of installed memory would be able to play this game?

  • @Seamus8080028 EU3 only uses one core, so you should be fine.

  • @TheMythtern5 Hallelujah brethren!

  • Trolololo for the first minute.

    But I like this =)

    ...since I said trolololol...trolololo com ( I need to just go to bed... ) (T . T;)

  • the problem of playing EU3 is that there are so many countries with bizarre names that are totally strange to me, unlike HOI series or even Victoria in which most countries I can identify

  • @KuhoinX Obviously, the people who made the game didn't want to leave anything out historically and I must say they did a damn good job. Everything is exactly where it should be prior do every specific date in the game.

  • 9:41 thumbs up for effort

  • This totally sold me on the game.

I tried Hearts of Iron but found it far too complex for me, this seems deep but not as difficult. And it's like €8 on Steam :)

  • @Jelle1880 For me, it's actually even more complex. There's a lot more options.

  • @Vorock16 EU3 is not as complex as HOI3. This is coming from some one who plays both.

  • @Anonymous4790 thats what scared me from buying HOI's. I played PTO on the SNES from Koei, and ever since then been scared of WWII simulations...

  • @Anonymous4790 EU3 is not complicated if you spend some time to understand the system, for HOI3, even you understand the mechanism it is too huge and terrifying (i believe there are thousands of thousands of provinces in the game, many times more than in HOI2)

  • a merc might have more luck to convert a religion xP "my fantasy is the right one, OK!?!... agree or i kill you!" ^^

  • hey can someone tell me how to load armies onto a fleet? thanks

  • @ulongkoror Just have the transoprts in a sea province next to the province your army is in and then make the army march to the sea province. You are welcome. To unload either land the transports or do it hte other way around.

  • it is not smart to send merchants all the time. Your sure to lose money that way.

  • JOSEF PLEASE PLAY AS LITHUANIA =3 pwetty pwease

  • Yes!Your playing estonia!I am from kuressaare/Estonia (osel in the game)

  • @priit740 he is? I tried to let rebels take Estonia so I could play them, but they didn't form their nation after 10 years of being rebels. I wasn't sure if you could form it in this game.

  • Yes!Your playing estonia!

  • Excellent start to a LP. I really like how you introduce the game.

  • anyone can help me on how to embark units?

  • @MateusVIII First click your navy and move it to sea, then click your army and move it to ship.

  • @ornom0n thank you

  • omg u picked 1/2 of lithuania :D

  • @prodigiousbastard

It varies. You have infamy border which you expand with deeds, advisors and some stuff,idk...But,whatever,don't get your infamy over the border! :D

  • Why not Romania ?

  • @dudemaster9

that is because you have HUGE infamy!watch around infamy, allies of your enemies, casus bellies and that stuff!watch it! :)

  • @m1nd0r how high does your infamy have to be for countries to declare war on you?

  • EU3 is stressful for me. One minute everything is going perfectly fine and the next second a shit tornado plows through.

  • i played this game today, as the TO, i got about 90years into it, was exapnding westwards into central europe, but then BOOOM i france, castille, england, muskovy, novgrod, austria and so on declares war... i just wtf and quit the game after trying to fend of the huge french armie... and i who was looking forward to forming Germany :(

  • i played this game today, as the TO, i got about 90years into it, was exapnding westwards into central europe, but then BOOOM i france, castille, england, muskovy, novgrod, austria and so on... i just wtf and quit the game after trying to fend of the huge french armie... and i who was looking forward to forming Germany :(

  • great video.

  • You've never used spies?? Dude, you are missing out.

  • Lol Animalists.

I thought they were called animists.

To emphasize that the Order was struggling against Lithuanian pagans in their boundaries.

  • See how the world changes in 400 years!

Watch Germany not change a damn thing...

  • @tenchimuyo69 thats rubbish, Germany was the most divided state of the whole of europe. Picture for instance, Bavaria, Wurtemburg, Badel, Wurtemburg, Saxony, Prussia, Westphalia, and that's just 1700.

  • @Olekander

To say it doesn't change doesn't mean it isn't divided or united.

Its to say that its divisions stay mostly the same throughout the game's preset scenarios.

  • @tenchimuyo69 LIES!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I belive it's provinces, not countries.

  • What is the difference between this game and Victoria2?

  • @aietes this is set in the middle ages to the 1800's i believe and victoria 2 is in the 20th century, andi think vicki 2 has more a political feel to the game.

  • @master0Fkings Thank you!

  • Denmark!!!!!

  • @laleglad Sucks...

  • @TheDawnOfTheTruth Rules.......!!!!!!!

  • @laleglad they got owned in ww2 so they suck.....

  • @TheDawnOfTheTruth they did not get owned in ww2!

  • Uhh does the diplomate die or somting

    P.S. NOT CAREING ABOUT SPELLING

  • @234Jillwer34

    You spelled diplomat wrong.

  • @thehan11 Read the p.s. part... esh.

  • German? you can haz poland?

  • See ya later Creative Assembly, welcome to my computer Paradox.

  • I live in Estland mostly at 5:00 or something

  • @helepele123

    I live near Riga

  • Okay.I´m a bit suprise how can u sucesfully lead ur nation with some decisions. I watched some following parts too, but I´ll sumerize it here.

Economy: "I´a m just let it in that way" -inflacion will destroy you

Allyes: "Allience from XXX. Why not?" - there was a reasons

Army recruting:-any maintance issues?U haven´t even checked ur land forcelimit

Mercheants: "Find as many centers as possible and send them there"-u´r trade is higly unprofitable in this way.

Just some notes, don´t take it bad,

  • Oh no! You're playing as a Prussian. I think that means I have to hate you. >.<

Also I can't read it but I'm guessing that one territory's religion is Animism?

  • Hey, can you let me know how you record it? I would like to make my own video :)
