Yeah I was on board until they mentioned fishes. Now this just seems like vegetarian propaganda, mentioning everything and anything for the hell of it. If 4/5ths of fishes consumed not farmed that means that 4/5ths of fishes lived a natural life before they were fished out of the ocean. Suffocation in regards to fish in my opinion does not constitute as a "painful" death. They are aquatic animals for goodness sake! Of course they are going to suffocate if they are removed from their environment.
I see why halal has Dhabiha and kosher has ritual slaughters. Both forms are used to produce fast painless death. But what about painless growth? What does it matter if the animal died fast enough not to feel pain if all of its life was complete misery? Am I to believe that an animal under stress does not produce hormones to that effect, which are eventually consumed by humans? If humans have epigenetics that can contribute to the health of future generations, don't all animals?

i never really felt sad about animal treatment, and I am ashamed. These animals dont deserve this, and this is why so many of us are sick. WE ARE WHAT WE EAT. We eat animals who are brutalized, sick & miserable. So that's y so many of us r on anti-depressants. I havent been wanting meat lately & I'm not sure why. Maybe this is why. I think I am finally ready to be a vegetarian because finding meat that is not treated cruelly is very difficult and very expensive. I had tears in my eyes frm this.
@dezinediva It isn't like this all over the world. Especially in my country (i.e. Turkey), new rights have given to bovine animals. Stuff like putting limits on how many hours they can travel a day, how they are supposed to be slaughtered so that they won't feel the pain and vice versa (I can't remember the other stuff). I'm sure that not all countries in the world are like this. So there is hope for humanity, friend.

For example, some cultures feel that they should (respectfully) slaughter an animal on the streets. Yes it is wrong, but Islam is not telling people to go on the streets. And if you were to pay attention, the festival is a type of Eid (celebration), which is the eid of sacrifice, from the biblical and islamic story.

@2PAINFULLNIGGA Yeah the stuff they don in this film is over the line. Neck cutting seems like heaven compared to this shit, but even so it should be done using anaesthesia. Once the throat is slit, doesn't matter which animal, the major blood vessels are cut and blood starts leaking out, okay that's obvious, but it does not provide death. Death comes when the brain starves of oxygen carried by the blood. This takes around a minute for most animals, which means a minute of very unpleasant pain.

For example, some cultures feel that they should (respectfully) slaughter an animal on the streets. Yes it is wrong, but Islam is not telling people to go on the streets. And if you were to pay attention, the festival is a type of Eid (celebration), which is the eid of sacrifice, from the biblical and islamic story.

@2PAINFULLNIGGA Yeah the stuff they don in this film is over the line. Neck cutting seems like heaven compared to this shit, but even so it should be done using anaesthesia. Once the throat is slit, doesn't matter which animal, the major blood vessels are cut and blood starts leaking out, okay that's obvious, but it does not provide death. Death comes when the brain starves of oxygen carried by the blood. This takes around a minute for most animals, which means a minute of very unpleasant pain.

Energy, that we don't need to kill animal life to sustain ourselves with any longer, it wouldn't be practical to continue in a species so large, with even bigger demand.
