  • That was a beautiful tackle!

  • 4 years i waited for that to happen to tebow...4 years of disapointment

  • @CannabisCaddy then u obviously never cared too much about seeing it haha, idk how u didnt see him get jacked up and concussed haha

  • @AshyLarry94 i just really wanted to see a linebacker put him on his ass, didn't see too much of that

  • the QB is fast, though

  • good hit. coming from a Mizzou fan haha poor jones

  • I think Corby regrets leaving the pocket.

  • Hit.

    Lift.

    Slam.

  • Even as a die hard U of M fan, Andy Katzenmoyer is my favorite LB of All-Time, sorry Lamarr!

  • I believe he had congenital spinal stenosis, had a neck injury with a herniated cervical disc that required surgery. He could have been paralyzed had it not been repaired or had he continued to play.

  • did he died? lol

  • Bobby Boucher would be proud....

  • Thats right!!! He got what he deserved... NOW THATS A GREAT HIT, AND HE HELD THE BALL TO LONG!!! SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL!!! THATS HOW "WOODY HAYES" COACHED!!! now pull up your skirt mama's boys!!! If you don't like it your a "mother" or a"MICHIGAN FAN" GO BUCKEYES!!!

  • @fastmama04 What a dumbass...

  • hahaha good job cookie. He said "we" because he is a fan. Not because he was on the roster. Fail.

  • @cookie31245 What exactly are you smoking? Because it's effecting your brain cells. Before you get on here trying to be an Internet tough guy, maybe you should clear your mind and read first.

When did I say I "played"? I said I watched a football game.

  • thats a big ole whiteboy

  • Goldberg spear

  • damn

  • Ladies and Gentlemen..... A Tackle.

  • I saw Katzenmoyer play LB, TE, KR, AND FB all in one game in high school. He was a monster and destroyed us.

  • Who said white dudes cant run!

  • I remember this game, but I forget the QB's name. He was running all over us (OSU) and we had no answer. That is, until Kat blew him up on this play. He had to get helped off the field and didn't scramble one more time after that hit. Result: Bucks win.

  • @badkarmabaroo you are a stupid ass mother fucker dont even say you played, nobody believes you , i checked your channel and its all guitar shit not one thing about football or nothing your a gay queer dont ever say you played for a team BITCH

  • BEAST at LB, QB( saw him throw 75+ on a rope like it ain't shit) BaseBall , Soccer, Golf... 6'4 265 4.50

That boy was a MONSTER!!! Anyone say different is a HATER.. He was above and beyond athletically better than any Ohio state linebacker ever EVER!!!!!

  • @johnnypineway

    better than speilman? no way

  • Best Buckeye LB of All Time!!!, but not for mutch longer look out for a dude named Storm Klein kid is going to be big time

  • @xxreppinxx614xx Kat was great, but Spielman will always be the man.

  • BIG KAT!!!

  • Even before Katz'enmoyer's injury-plagued pro career, something went wrong with his potential. If I recall correctly, he began his senior year as one of the most high-profile player in the country, but his play somehow dropped off sharply from his junior season. On a televised game, I recall a commentator joking that the "Big Cat" was playing like a house cat. What happened to Katz after he showed so much potential?

  • @sportshistorybuff He had to get off the juice~

  • @sportshistorybuff pretty simple....other teams started designing their offensive scheme to shade away from his side, if he played strong they went weak side and visa versa....teams were litterally running away from him....he still had a heck of a season running guys down from the backside....

  • ya buckeyes

  • no wonder his NFL career was cut short due to a neck injury . . . when you lead with your head like he did!

  • am i watching national geographic its like a damn lion attacking a gazelle LOL!

  • he ate him

  • What year was this from??

  • 1997

  • i still remember that hit.....changed the game. BIGKAT was a stud!!!

  • Sorry Katzenmoyer, you could have been one of the Great ones in the NFL.

  • i was at this game.....we rolled up the tigers....i had a bet with my history teacher who was a MU grad

  • beautiful textbook tackle...shoulder pads right through the numbers.

  • forget the number right through his spine is more like it

  • @brin

Corby Jones weighed in at 225 at the 1999 NFL combine.

  • that was funny. P.S. that tackler was HUGE!!!

  • Dang! Almost feel bad for the QB...Nah!

  • the big cat!!!

  • that qb weighed 230

  • what do you know fuck o

  • It seems as though I know a hell of a lot more than you. Anyone that likes "Lady Gaga" can't know much about football. LOL@ you and your made up stats.

  • blow it out your cunt

i noticed your favorite is barry manilow

  • WOW! You really got me there..................

  • i love it when some1 gets a free hit at a qb

  • that wasnt a very smart move by the quarterback.

  • "where you going boy"

  • Mannn you cant tackle high its gotta be low

  • yah you tell him - he doesn'tknow how appearently.

  • pffff hahahaha did you ever play football???? when you outweigh a quarterback by that much it doesn't matter where you hit him, he's gonna go down..... now if you are a tiny guy (which it sounds like) then yea you would probably have to tackle low because you can't take anyone down like a real man

  • you can tackle high if your not a pussy

  • woah... andy katzenmoyer... i never thought i'd see that guy outside of nfl 2k3

  • wipe out

  • DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNNN!

  • lol @ him on the cover of SI, too bad TUOS blew it, as per usual

  • One of the greatest COLLEGE linebackers EVER

  • it sucks that Big Kat got hurt in the NFL i don't blame him for not coming back after that neck injury, i mean seriously, is life long pain and agony worth maybe 12 years in the NFL? plus after only 3 years he still has good enough money sittin in the bank but he would have been a great linebacker, though Chris Spielman is still my favorite

  • grats...."nigga"...

  • ahhhsikee

  • if you were white youd be smart enough to know that

  • he did go pro idiot he got hurt

  • then why r u watching this

  • thats what happens when QB try to run

  • @TheBigAL42 unless your cam newton or michael vick

  • everyone on here needs to stop playing sunday morning quarterback. there was a quarterback in the open, a linebackers dream. it was a hard hit and thats it. none of this talk about the nfl or the big ten or going pro. only 1% of college athletes ever go pro. good hit, there are plenty of them to fill the highlight reel for years.

  • yea because bob sandars dallas clark and nate kading just do terrible in the nfl

  • no one said they weren't good players. but our bucks are still 5th all time in the most wins in college football. just saying.

for the record. the big ten fans should stick together man. we are losing so much respect around the BCS.

  • good point.

  • Love the hit. Too bad he didn't succeed in the NFL. I'd chauk it up to injuries that robbed him of performance more than anything.

  • the run wasn't bad either

  • Sweeeeeeet!

  • this is why i like football nice hitttt!!!!!!!!!

  • dude's a legend here in columbus. for reasons such as this vid.

  • lol click on this 6:19

  • Andy Katzenmoyer with the 3:10 to YuMayNotGetUp after a hit like that. Go Bucks!

  • he got hit by a fucking train!

  • wow...thats a hit

  • I can't understand why that dude couldn't upgrade his skills to NFL level.

  • He was injured.

  • hurt neck

  • get rocked lol

  • i dont put him in the lousy section next to andre ware ryan leaf and rashard mendenhall

  • Unfortunate that he turned out to be a bust. I still have major respect for any LB that gets drafted in the firt round though.

  • I don't think a potentially life ending injury makes you a bust really.

  • But the doctors cleared him. :/

  • The doctors may have cleared him but any injury like the one he suffered would make anyone reconsider their job choice. As far a a bust he had 101 tackles and 3.5 sacks and it wasnt even a full season. Oh forgot he had one pick too :)

  • Yeah I know, he was doing good it was a joke. If he wanted it bad enough he could have continued his career though.

  • @mykothopea Life ending? What happened?

  • I remember watching this game. Big Kat came from nowhere! And no, this wasn't a form tackle. Dude's head was down, good way to get injured.

  • he'll b feelin' that in the mornin'

  • PERFECT tackle. Kids should watch that. Nothing cheap, no one hurt. Just great form and execution.

  • not quite actually, it would have been perfect if he didnt leave his feet at the beginning.

  • perfect big hit tackle for kids

  • would have been better if he wasnt lookin down thats how u break ur neck

  • i think your forgetting that hit knocked the quarterback out of the game

  • nah,aint no perfect tackle

hes head shoulda be under the left shoulder of tha QB

he shouldnt tackle eyes to chest (like my coach says) but leftear to chest, i kno it sounds stupid but thats the way it is

  • okay, well i guess he shoulda told the guy to slow down and then align himself...

it's much faster than you think, there's almost never a perfect tackle.

  • AND

not only does he prolly have a strong neck, he has a neck pad, so i wouldn't worry too much about it, lol.

  • yah, maybe thats why he suffered a career ending neck injury...

  • ahah, well. clearly not strong enough.

but see Brian Dawkins, he at times hits SO improperly, we can only hope he doesn't have the same end result.

But nonetheless, it's tough to line them up.

  • And Corby Jones stayed in his pocket, never to venture forth from his protective shield...for the vicious creature known as the Katzenmoyer was waiting for him :)

  • form tackle

  • The only good play of that dumbass's agree. I'm an OSU fan, and even I am happy that this idiot was a bust.

  • Andy Katzenmoyer was well on his well to supplanting Ted Johnson as the starting MLB for the Patriots, and he was light years ahead of Tedi Bruschi. But he broke his neck.

The guy was simply born to play MLB, his physical prowess is simply unreal, 6'4'' 245, ran a 4.5 40, benched 400 lbs. and cleaned 450 lbs..

He could have been a bigger, stronger Brian Urlacher, but he got hurt.

  • Not really.

He had a neck injury (he didn't break his neck), doctors cleared him to play and he just didn't want it enough. He was too afraid of getting hurt.

  • you are retarded and wrong. To think he wouldnt want to make millions. You are a moron

  • big kat

  • aj hawk was in the top ten in the league as far as tackles 1st year in the league. Still waiting? he has had 2 seasons under him, and he plays middle linebacker. there is a learning curve, unlike running back. he will be good. and about troy smith, if the ravens would give him a chance he could make it. he got into 2 games last year and had close to 200 yards in each of them and a total of 3 touchdowns. plus he made some key plays on 3rd down with his legs. not bad for a rook.

  • Like I said, Aj Hawk has never been an all pro and might not ever be. Troy Smith will never be a starting QB in the league unless the #1 or #2 QB is injured

  • Thats how Tom Brady got his first when Bledsoe went down. Troy Smith is a great athlete and will probably never even make it to be an average QB in the league, but hes far better than you could ever dream to be.

  • Learning curve? Lofa Tatupu was a pro bowler in his first season

  • Troy Smith had all around better stats than the number one overall pick in that draft. Funny how the media will change your opinion on a player when you really know nothing about him.

  • usc guys have done far worse these past couple of years. ,ienhart and bush are ready to flame out

  • Yes I'm not a big fan of the Bucks but saying that Smith is like a good college player unable to make the cut in the NFL is one silly statement. Yes he still is a backup but he was also a rookie. How many QB's in the NFL started from the beginning? not many if I recall

  • How many Heisman trophy winners do not get drafted in the first three rounds of the next seasons draft? Not many.

  • yes..... but just because u got drafted early does not mean he will succeed in the NFL. I am not a Michigan or a Patriot fan but he was the third strain QB till Drew Bledsoe got hurt. Was Tony Romo drafted in the first three rounds? I belive not......

  • that may be the case for some players, but labeling katz as a buckeye who couldn't cut it in the nfl is retarded. he had a nice rookie season, starting 11 games and posting over 100 tackles and a handful of sacks before suffering what ended up being essentially a career-ending neck injury the following year. i don't think that anybody would deem that as "not being able to cut it", so get your shit straight before you make a generalization like that.

  • Thats how tackling is supposed to be done, you put your fucking face in your opponents chest and you drive him through the ground. To bad players today arent willing to put their body on the line for their team. Thats how football is supposed to be played, Katzenmoyer style. 110% balls to the wall every single play.

  • No that's how Kevin Everett broke his neck last season. He lowered his head and speared the guy, stupid thing to do and an easy reason for why his neck got broken in the NFL.

  • Hey matt61387 so what does it take to "cut it" in the nfl i guess you would know huh?

  • its not spearing dumb ass. put your facemask square into their chest. not the top of your hat.

  • That is the exact same hit Everett made that broke his neck, you have no idea what you're talking about and need to learn what a spear is.

  • we have like 6 hall of famers in the nfl. katzenmoyer broke his neck after like 3 years

  • he was never the same after that hit

  • FUCKED UP

  • Somebody just made somebody their bitch!

  • mpf! SOLID!

  • too bad hes retarded and couldnt pass in school now hes a high school football coach

  • Haha, the retard also works at California fitness. the only reason he is a coach is because his old high school coach gave him a job. Btw his team Westerville South last year sucked.

  • idk y sum1 gave me a thumbs down lol all i said was the truth the guy never went to class and was stupid so ruined his own career now hes a high school football coach when he could be in the league

  • With your writing skills, you shouldn't be calling anyone retarded. I believe he's not playing professionally now because of a career ending injury.

I bet he loves coaching and living off what he made in the NFL.

  • haha ya i shouldve read that before i posted it

  • won't you get your neck broken making tackles like that with you head down? Guess he learned the hard way.

  • I playeyd against him in high school, he was one of the greatest players i've ever seen, followed his career with interest because of it,he was one of the best thats been at osu in the mid field,he desearves to take the only 2 time highsman trophy winners # outa retirerment, but I say this with great pride,I put him on his arse for one play .. the next one he stompt my shit but for 1 hit i rocked his world. Its not the size of the dawg in the fight but the size of the fight in the dawg. Additude!

  • go back to school

  • Ah Andy, looked like a Great White Shark surfacing for the kill. NICE

  • great form

  • yeah this is definently not a blast, a good takle yes. corby jones was the shit, fuck that nebraska kick ball bullshit. lucky bastards

  • I'd say this was a great TACKLE moreso than a huge HIT.

  • aactually katzenmoyer is my coach at westerville south dumbass so shut the hell up

  • hey westerville south,,,big win over northland in basketball.

  • After the game Jones said he has been hit harder than that in practice. LOL

  • Nice hit but Corby Jones is a lawyer now and Katzenmoyer is most likely wearing a blue smock 8 hours a day.
