In a recent press release Honda stated that it will not release the NSX or NSX-R until they surpass the lap time of the GTR at the nurburgring. It will be trully amazing to see these two cars or manufactures battle.

The NSX and the GTR spec V will pale in comparison to the LF-A. The LF-A is pretty much a Super GT GT500 car packaged for the street. Its like comparing a race car to your street car. Think about it!

@parichtang Since we won't see the production LFA (since the one we see now is pre-production car) for another 2yrs I can't wait when the new NSX or HSV came out in production trim as well. Perhaps a stroked 4-4.5L V8 vs 3.4L V8(Mugen F3000 engine) that is in the new 2010 HSV Super GT car? will see all these in 2011/12 but by then perhaps a new R36 GTR would be coming out already... LOL.

this is not 1997 sir, by the time a vehicle is in production and available 90%+ of aftermarket has already been developed for the vehicle. That is why you see big companies like Nismo, RalliArt, HKS etc with cars with more than double factory hp before the stock car hits the dealership. As far as 1k street legals, you would have to re-write almost every EPA law on the books as they stand now.

what are u talking about? for 1. their are current skylines with more that 1k hp so were did u get 1997 from. r34's skyline ended production in 2002! and just to let u know their are r35 already in japan with more than 600hp. so if you think about it with after market turbochargers ect 1000hp is definitely possible!! as far as the EPA, since when has that made a difference??

Your reading comprehension sucks. You said you can not wait till aftermarket mods the engine? They were modding the engine before you knew the engine existed, not since 1997 have we had to wait for a car to be released. Learn to read.

You said STREET LEGAL, that is based upon DOT and EPA compliance. Show me a street legal kit that bumps the car up to 1k.
