I live in South Africa where the death sentence has been abolished and crime now has free reign. In my opinion if you take a life yours must be taken in return. When you take a life you lose your rights. That said I do feel that before an execution can occur there needs to be no doubt whatsoever of the person's guilt. Unfortunately though we live in a world where doubt is everywhere and innocent people have been executed. That's state sanctioned murder. If you're guilty it's justice.
Second comment this is too good for say those scum who killed the wife and daughter in MA they should get electrocuted with 500 volts at 20 amps maybe 100 amps..you get hit much juice with that it;s like Turkey fryer for your ass in 30 seconds.
"A liberal society still needs to be defended, and it needs to be defended violently at times," said by Robert Kaplan a national correspondent from the Atlantic Monthly, its like the police puts a bullet in a crazed armed gunman or when a American solder double taps an Al-Qaeda operative its all the same if you kill be prepared to be killed blood is unfortunately necessary in defense of civilization. think serial killers didn't stop at 1 victim(def. of serial) they had to be stopped this way.
there identities are confidential. thus making them wussies. if you cant kill with bare hands in a fair even fight or in self defense, then you have no business in the killing game. that goes for murderers of innocent people too.
I think we should get rid of the death penalty because there have been innocent people killed in the past who later were proven innocent by new evidence.
Instead, we should make them live the rest of their lives in solidarity confinement, which would more of a "revenge" thing than to kill someone, which is something that a lot of those men actually want since death row is so boring.
What about the victim when they cried out telling him to stop what did he do? I'm for the death penalty but only in killing or rape cases with fair trials and proof of guilt Because I don't what a Texas with 467 executions most convicted on bad shady forensics but I do NOT want a Michigan were killings are much more gruesome and heinous because murderers can murder knowing they will still live.
i honestly believe that they should start airing executions when they have them since the purpose of it involves protecting the public. the public also should see what it's paying for being put to work.
the criminals here (usa) are treated w/ compassion and respect...too bad the criminal didn't give respect to their victim. criminals should not be allowed to sit on death row for decades. one month after conviction, to the death chamber you go.
@lakemead00 Its really too bad where most of the time, the criminal is protected by law, but the victim is not. Putting the victim and their family at risk. Media will print the name of the victim, but to "protect" the criminal, their names wont be protected.
Don't worry you wont feel any pain except the first injection it will numb your whole body, the second will make you feel calm, third you're dead right before you realize you are dead.
I dont know how these guys live with them selves after killing these people in death chambers, Sure the prisoners did wrong but as they say 2 wrongs dont make a right. Is killing them going to bring back the people they killed ? Hell no it aint. Fuck the death penalty and screw the system !
"For a last meal, shit the mothafucka should be able to eat a mcdonalds big mac with some special mac cheese fries and for some desert a nice peice of pussy, if i left like that i would leave with my fist to the mofuckin sky
It is not the exercise of "free will" as the repective bargaining positions, powers, of Tennant and Landlord are unequal.
There has always been an historic imbalance of power between the two, eg. study the Feudal Lord system of the middle ages and the one that existed in Tibet
Where undue influence, disparity etc exists, there is no free exchange of value, freedom to contract (bloody libertarians) in this senario is a myth
@Guevaristas Err I am an objectivist there is a difference. No I am not being exploited first in most parts of the US it is about the same price to rent as it is to own (3 bedroom home $90,000 were I live) second exploitationso what if he is making a profit thats why he bothers owning the properties and the bullshit that comes with it (I have LL friends), like I said value for value I want my LL to make a profit I do not want his charity value for value, you son sound weak
Either way you are exploited under capitalism both in U$A and NZ.
1. Pay rent-then you make a private (how un-democratic) capitalist Landlord a very nice profit indeed.
2. Procure thineself a a mortgage, then the parasitic bank/lender will make a profit from you when you pay it back over about 30 years. (ie. in interest)
3. Rent an apartment from the capitalist State? Your rent then goes to the State, it may keep it, thus even the State is a cartel out to extract a profit from you
There is nothing wrong with profit, how is a landlord is a parasite? PARASITE: a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others. LL and banks do not fall under this, you do by wanting what is not yours by wanting to enable the state to receives support, advantage, or the like. Value for value.
@Guevaristas Kim Il Sung 1.6 million (purges and concentration camps) Suharto (East Timor, West Papua, Communists, 1966-98) 800,000 Tito 570,000 Vladimir Ilich Lenin 30,000 (dissidents executed)
Many who rent their shity flats are poor, ill, sick, etc. They cannot work. They could never pay off a mortgage themselves. The capitalist property developer exploits their misery to further his/her own selfish pecuniary advantage, do you call that fair, equitable???
Dis you ever think that there minght be a right not to be exploited?
And how many people did that piece of shit Che Guevara have summarily executed kido (oops your 46 WTF)? Oh private property rights are perhaps the most basic human right.
you are not working class but demented and foolish.
those individuals were granted a fair trial. Did you forget about the Ceseaucus of Romania, by comparison, they never had one.
You want private bourgeois property rights so you can exploit other citizens eg. you buy an old shack, then get a solo mother to pay the mortgage off for you, thats what a nice chap you are-devoid of a conscience
That's the economic freedom you desire, how eternally corrupt you are
@Guevaristas I did factory work for 10 years yes a decade I also did dairy farm work for 2 years and was a laborer for a year (warehouse work as well as mowing cemeteries once a week) so yes I am working class.
@GuevaristasOh and I want private property rights for myself. There is no exploitation in a true value for value exchange, I rented an apartment for a years on my own free, will exchanging value for value and because there were a bunch of people that own buildings for me to rent (or to pay off their mortgage as you put it) it was not a shack but nice (in a basic sort of way) and inexpensive ($400. A month) private property is a basic human right.
private property is not a basic human right, it could also be said that all property must be under "common ownership" and that no person has the right to any interest in property, bourgeois property that is.
You apartment senario:
There are landlords in new zealand behaving like sharks. Many are rich property developers, they own properties all over this city. They do not need this degree of wealth. They use the predicaments of others to pay mortgages off for them.
If it is too expensive buy your own apartment and rent it out, or dont live in Aucklandmove to Palmerston North or something. As for your public ownership is a right that requires the state the state cannot give rights the state is only capable of taking rights away. Do you live with your elderly mother?
The #1 class of enemy W/ communistso they would be near the first to be murdered in the purge huh? I rent, I am not being exploited by my landlord, and it is an exchange of VALUE for VALUE on the part of both our FREE WILLS, he provides a service I do not want to get stuck with a mortgage yet (and then get stuck living in one place forever, especially not in Michigan). Auckland is demand and supply were demand and supply meet that is price.
You "are" being exploited by paying rent to a Landlord.
The LL becomes a LL primarily to make a profit, fanancial pecuniary gain. Tennants who are unable to afford a mortagage must pay rent.
In Socialist States, apartments are collectively owned by the public and controlled (NOT owned) by the State.
Thus, the rent you pay goes back to the State and is then distributed back into the Socialist State, NOT into the greedy hands of a capitalist Landlord
where's the justice in the death penalty? Does the victim or do the victims derive justice from the fact that the eg the convicted murderer is put to death? That seems rather sadistic, or is that "justice"?
you line of thinking is sadistic and depraved. you would enjoy the death of another human being by electrocution, what does that say about you then ay ay?
Guevaristas, I think if a person killed one of my loved ones, it would be the same as killing me and I would have no pity, I would become sadistic and depraved, so then I would enjoy watching the death of the person by electrocution in that case
ay ay, it says I want em dead, and I want em dead now. Honestly, if it wasn't your lover killed, then don't butt in. If your lover is killed, then you choose. Don't make choice for others.
The justice, I expect, is in the removal of the individual from the ability to ever repeat what they had done previously. Someone willing to kill may also be willing to do the same thing even while incarcerated and that doesn't even begin to speak about what they might do if they escaped or even if released long in the future. Some crimes are just that way. The beltway sniper for example. So I can't say I'm against it.
I don't... that's why I'm pro death penalty. Again, this isn't about rehabilitation. At the level of a Ted Bundy there is no rehab. If you look at how the death penalty is metered out, not everyone is subject to it. The crimes that merit it.. ah.. merit it.
is that how inhuman you are over there in the USA? You derive pleasure from knowing that another human being has been murdered, lawfully. Does that satisfy your metaphysical idea of justice?
phillyeagles, regardless of whether the murdered is a family member or friend, he still had family members that are now grieving and mourning their loss. A cold-blooded murderer should be executed.
Of course, this cannot be applied to involuntary manslaughter, like car accidents and such.
Picture yourself. Eating your last meal. Making your final phone call to your parents telling them "Im going to die." Then take the walk. Be tied to a bed and just have that shit injected in ur veins and just sit there as your final moments pass. Killing makes NO senze. ABout 90% of killings happen over revenge. THink of it this way. Your friend gets shot and killed. You kill his muederer. After 10 years are you still mad months later? No.
A drunk priest killed a sorority sister of mine, 20 years ago, when I was in college. Am I still mad? HELL YES! Would I like to see that person (I'm censoring myself here) executed? Again, HELL YES!
well family is on a different level. I(m talking about gang members, gang members should be locked up not killed. preists IDk how he killed her but i really dont wanna know. but if he is alive do what u gotta do. i would hunt him down and kill him myself if he killed my family.
I see. I misunderstood where you were coming from, then. BTW, the young woman who was killed 20 years ago was a sorority sister of mine - not my real sister - although I care about her the same way I do my real sister - that's why, even 20 years later, I'm still pissed about it, and would still like to see the rat (again, I'm censoring myself) who killed her die.
@phillyeagles217 ha ha I did picture myself that way and let me tell you its about the easiest, most gentle way to kill someone. They first inject them with a chemical that puts them gently to sleep and then after that they are injected with another chemical that stops their heart. Compare that to the way Richard Allen Davis kidnapped, raped, and strangled a 12 year old girl. I say cut off their fingers and toes then let them bleed to death.
@phillyeagles217 think of it as this way. an AB member is in prison with a life sentence with no chance of parole. do you think hes gonna care about the consequences of murders or racketeering or conspiracy in the prison? hell no... he knows he will be there the rest of his life. so instead of letting him live which will cause more deaths and rapes in the prison they put him to death and reduce the numbers by many.
@phillyeagles217 think of it as this way. an AB member is in prison with a life sentence with no chance of parole. do you think hes gonna care about the consequences of murders or racketerring or conspiracy in the prison? hell no... he knows he will be there the rest of his life. so instead of letting him live which will cause more deaths and rapes in the prison they put him to death and reduce the numbers by many.
You realize prisons aren't half as bad as you think they are? Due to state regulation, they're eating healthier and have better living conditions then most poor American families. I'd rather just kill him off.
@SpreadingTruth4111 This is true. Especially if you are considered Honor Grade or "Green Clothes" as they call it. I spent 4 months in a green camp and other than the fact that I couldn't leave it wasn't bad at all. In fact, it helped me get sober and in shape. It was far better than our county jail for damn sure. Now "brown" places like Corcoran in CA are simply inhumane and should be shut down or given an overhaul. Half of the problems in those places are gangs, the other half is bad staff.
@phillyeagles217 you're an idiot. So if someone killed your mom, dad, brother, sister, kids or whoever. You wouldn't want them killed? They took a life, so they deserve to have their life taken.
@STProductionFilms OK, but don't forget that in the past some innocent people have been executed. How would you feel if you had been condemned to death for a crime that you hadn't committed.
@phillyeagles217 I can't picture this because I would never murder an innocent. And you say 90% are over revenge? That may be true, but those on death row have no remore, no guilt, no feelings. Getting the death row sentence means the "crime" was so horrible, so terrible, that the Jury convicted you to death, instead of life in prison, etc.
@phillyeagles217 Some ways you are right and some wrong. Reason some people really deserve this big time. In fact worse much worse. I won't say but it would make sticking anesthetics like eating candy..but some persons deserve to be exectuded. That Mxican who was going around killing women in Texas and crossing back to Mexico deserves the worse or child murderers...not to many murders in Saudi Arabia.huh?
"welcome to the chamber, we have provided a pillow for your comfort. you will also be given an alcohol swab before your injection.. we wouldn't want any last minute infections!"
Maybe they do that incase he suddenly recieves a last minute stay. In Ohio there is no limit to how long someones last statement can be so just keep talking guys!
It is also done just in case the condemned person receives a stay (I've researched it). Looks like these death chambers aren't totally inhumane after all.
idk, anyways death penalty is not a punishment to me, i mean your going to die anyways. and besides, we don't need people killing others the world will one day come to an end, and it cant just have 10 or more people who are killers end it.
All I meant by my previous entry is that we don't really need these people in our society. They're ulcers. Tehy would steal your drum set, and stab you with the stands.
Let's say Chico robbed a 7-11, and hit granny over the head for a SS check, he should do his 4-7 regardless. We may never know all of his priors. It's the inmate state of mind. Strike three and you're mine till I retire boy. Why the fuck is everyone so concerned with condemned assholes anyway?
you've got some problems, bro. you work a shitty job that no educated person would want, but you somehow consider yourself to be some kind of savior of humanity.
whats going on? hay i don't know who you are dude I got email and now what is this? i don't put the stuff here i let nephew nd freind on my computr andd i put it in uther room so i can see they on the screen im sory that"s assHole put my pasword on this imsorry
After you watch these guys for years, and they recount their crimes to you (as a C/O)- and in GREAT grotesque detail, it is much easier to strap them down. We actually got a confession on the death bed. This inmate included more detail than the police knew-AND he gave the burial location of a little girl rape / murder / corpse mutilation victim who was missing for TWENTY years.
I work on death row. I'll give you a tour some day. You can eat lunch and reason with the inmates. Let them tell you how bad their lives are. I know, you should become a case worker. Just like the one I arrested for bringing cell phone parts into the institution. You can bunk with him when you visit. Always an open bed for you fucknuts.
see, the reason i keep calling you an idiot is because nothing you say is based on any logic of any kind. what does a case worker who smuggles cell phone parts (oh no! please not the cellphone parts!) have to do with me?
nothing. and my pubes really shouldn't be of any interest to you.
Would a prison escape be of any interest to you? They might get you and your boyfriend, girlfriend, cat, drumset, pubic hair or whatever. The point is, these (rightfully convicted death row inmates) are scum and live to con us and everyone else. The next execution, I will think of you when I insert the needles. I also strap the right leg. "I do this in the name and for the protection of HIIMBRADY."
Anyone who sympathizes with a convicted murderer is only transplanting their emotions. In actuality, the crirtical individual is the one who fears an execution for themselves. No one should be scared about wrongful convictions. The system is much better now.
By the way, from what I've discovered, all inmates are guilty of some other crime for which they have never been punished. Just because they're innocent one time around, you will find MANY skeletons emerging.
what do you do for a living? if it's anything more complicated than flipping burgers then we are all in trouble.
your reasoning is absolutely insane. so, you think that wrongfully convicted prisoners deserve to be in prison because we can ASSUME that they did something else that they weren't caught for?
that is contrary to the entire concept of american justice.
i can't believe how fucking ignorant most americans are. how you could believe that is
You may see it as childish, but I see it as relief for the victims' family, and some amount of closure. I also know that it isn't going to bring anyone back to life. ON some level, it's a deterrent. I will continue to volunteer for executions, and secure my place in the audience in Florida.....see you in hell.
well, hate to say this but you and your cousins have the same genes. you dissing your cousin because he killed somebody but there you are, getting your bloodthirsty on watching people die. either way, you two are some warped sickos. please don't think that everyone actually sympathizes with your cause. you are not proving anything by taking out your sadism urges by watching other people die. get that right.
You sound like a fucking inmate. Always rationalizing. Get back in your cell and eat your canteen-before lights out. The only sympathy-and remembrance- here that I want is for the victims. You would have gathered that from my entry, if you stuck with Hooked on Phonics instead of hooked on cock for meth.
i'm not on drugs, kid. i'm just saying the truth. you and him come from the same family tree and from what i see, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
this video is an example of a highly civilized country. not.
instead of concentrating on neat ways to kill people, shouldn't we put more money into schools and social programs so that people don't grow up to be murderers? the US and china are the only civilized countries in the world that have the death penalty, and yet we have one of the highest crime rates in the world. seems to me that fucked up state sanctioned ritual murder doesn't necessarily keep anyone safe.
You obviously don't know what your talking about. Not every criminal is raised to be a psycho-murderer. Some of the are born that way and are impossible to make able to fit in our society. Schools and social programs don't help kids who get beaten and raped by their parents. No, they actually make people into these kind of sick people. And they are not able to be helped when they are too old to learn that killing because of anger is wrong. So they just have to be executed. Schools don't help...
dont you think its more of a pain to sit inside a cell for your whole life than to sit in a cell for 3 days and get executed? People can change you know, with help and support, it takes ten years or more but, for some murderers or especially rapists it should be death penalty.
The inmates try to compromise staff, and infiltrate everyone's privacy. I have acousin who has done this to my grandmother for eight years. Inmate live for the con. It is a great relief for everyone when executions are performed. By the way, my cousin admits he did it, he has raped family members and doubt in these crimes ahs been eliminated. He killed a woman in the north and the south. Check ou the assistant editor of the Miami Herald in 2000. That's her.
The truth is that most people take advantage of the system and it eventually fails. Communism looks good as an outline, but human nature involves greed. Greed is the downfall. That's why states like Massachusetts and California are in debt, and Nevada isn't. Also, executions are a necessary part of the corections system. I have a relative on death row, and I only feel disgust for him and compassion for the victims' family members. Three years to go.
i'm not sure i buy your twisted logic. no, killing people is not the answer to this country's economic problems. i feel compassion for your relative. it's not his fault that he is who he is. what would jesus do?
Sorry, I only feel compassion for his victims and their families. I actually worked at NSP and was working the night an execution took place on 4/26/2006. I don't know who this "Jesus" guy is, but I wouldn't want anyone killing him or his family. They'll do time, and do the electric ride-just like anyone else. Your logic is just as twisted to me. But we share the earth together, and I will continue to make more room for you and yours here through participation in these "disposal" events.
my logic is not twisted, and your logic simply does not exist. you are offering what amounts to a childish emotional response. a rational person would think about the subject more pragmatically, where as you just want revenge, as if barbarically strapping someone to a chair and running electricity through them until they cook is going to bring anyone back to life.
killing people is not a good way to show that killing people is wrong.
Not eceonomic problems........only when those problems mature into criminal activity, does the justice system come into play. I guarantee your opinions would change if a close family member of yours was raped, tortured, murdered and then mutilated through post-mortem sexual intercourse. This is my cousin. He must die. Have a nice day;)
Someday, maybe someone will murder your loved one. Then we'll see how much emotion comes into "play" with your decision. You must be a psych major. I make sure the needles stay in the arms.....never failed. That's important? Or is your job more important? Pushing legal speed on prepubescents so they don't have any emotions. Nice job, dopey Joe.
first of all, i have nothing to do with the field of psychology, and even if i did, psychologists can't prescribe medication. so that part of your "argument" simply doesn't exist.
second of all, if one of my loved ones is murdered, there is no way in hell that executing the one who did it will bring them back. since there is nothing to gain, except for petty, childish vengeance, i see no reason for the killing to continue.
America what a primitive society, You kill people like in the middle ages, Then you sell guns to everyone. And you proud of be Americans?, Hahahahah you guys dont even have national health service. YIAHH fucking cowboys. Your politicians dont give a fuck about your own citinzens.
ah you guys talk about "what if it was your daughter that was raped and killed"...what if your son did the raping and killing...would you want him dead?
Wow, I am very sorry to hear that.I am pretty sure its gotta be tough for you and your family as well as the victims.
But I am sure you dont want him dead, I am just saying killing isnt the only way...I dont believe we live in the eye for an eye tooth for a tooth era anymore.
But this is my opinion, you are entitled to your own and respect that.
No, it really isn't tough for us at all. Considering he raped two females in the family. We are now in continuous contact with the DA and AG's office. I testified against him in '99 with other family members. I will witness the execution, and hold a victim's vigil with his victim's family-who will also be in attendance.
the people who are being put to death knew what was coming before they murdered some inocent person. it could have been your mom and sister or child. why should my tax dollars help that person live? the money could better the victims families. no i have no heart for these low lives. pay the price and be done with it!
I think the people who pull the switch should go get the death penalty as well. Two wrongs don't make a right. Justice isn't about killing. These people will never have to live with themselves because they will be killed. How is that justice? The families of these victims have to live forever with missing their loved ones. If a murderer kills in cold blood I don't have much sympathy for him but what about someone who is wrongly accused?
to answer your question about the wrongly accused. less than 2% of the convicted felons in todays prisons are in there for not actually committing the crime. and you may think that about the death penalty but think about this for a moment. lets say you have a daughter and someone kidnapped brutally raped and murdered her. you can not honestly say that you would not want to see the state sentence that person to death. think about it.
the death penalty in this country is too soft these mosters killed there victtoms imhumanely and the same should be done to them there deaths should be painful as humanly possable if death in death row was extremely painful there would be lower crime rates. the mosters must suffer like there victoms did simple as that.they should be beaten to death not get a shock to there little brain.death row should be like hell not sit in a chair and get electricuted to death, beat them with a hammer to death
your a very ignorant person. two wrongs don't make a right. no one has the right to kill someone else.. God put everyone on earth and he is the one who decides that. i think that people who murder in cold blood should be punished but there are other methods. They should have to live with what they did. Killing should not be a option. It is very inhumane. People also make mistakes. Everyone deserves another chance. I just have a soft heart and I believe that makes me a good person.
also i would like to comment on your thought about the inmates having to live and think about what they have done. you obviously do not work in a prison environment, so I will tell you. prisoners that commit class D and E felony crimes such as rape and murder. do not care that they did it. they have no remorse and very few will ever reflect on what they did and be sorry for it. thats the hard truth. but like i said before think if it was one of your family members that was a victim.
So where is the death chamber located exactly?

It is not the exercise of "free will" as the repective bargaining positions, powers, of Tennant and Landlord are unequal.
There has always been an historic imbalance of power between the two, eg. study the Feudal Lord system of the middle ages and the one that existed in Tibet
Where undue influence, disparity etc exists, there is no free exchange of value, freedom to contract (bloody libertarians) in this senario is a myth
Guevaristas 2 years ago
@Guevaristas Err I am an objectivist there is a difference. No I am not being exploited first in most parts of the US it is about the same price to rent as it is to own (3 bedroom home $90,000 were I live) second exploitationso what if he is making a profit thats why he bothers owning the properties and the bullshit that comes with it (I have LL friends), like I said value for value I want my LL to make a profit I do not want his charity value for value, you son sound weak
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
Either way you are exploited under capitalism both in U$A and NZ.
1. Pay rent-then you make a private (how un-democratic) capitalist Landlord a very nice profit indeed.
2. Procure thineself a a mortgage, then the parasitic bank/lender will make a profit from you when you pay it back over about 30 years. (ie. in interest)
3. Rent an apartment from the capitalist State? Your rent then goes to the State, it may keep it, thus even the State is a cartel out to extract a profit from you
Guevaristas 2 years ago
There is nothing wrong with profit, how is a landlord is a parasite? PARASITE: a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others. LL and banks do not fall under this, you do by wanting what is not yours by wanting to enable the state to receives support, advantage, or the like. Value for value.

Do you think it's ok for the sick, ill (completely unable to work) etc, to pay off $100,000 to a Landlord over a decade?
And, that landlord is a rich property developer who owns many other properties in the city.
Essentially, the LL does not need an extra property, they have ample money, security etc.
This example is based on a real situation
Guevaristas 2 years ago
Many who rent their shity flats are poor, ill, sick, etc. They cannot work. They could never pay off a mortgage themselves. The capitalist property developer exploits their misery to further his/her own selfish pecuniary advantage, do you call that fair, equitable???
Dis you ever think that there minght be a right not to be exploited?

And how many people did that piece of shit Che Guevara have summarily executed kido (oops your 46 WTF)? Oh private property rights are perhaps the most basic human right.
Signed real working class.
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
you are not working class but demented and foolish.
those individuals were granted a fair trial.
That's the economic freedom you desire, how eternally corrupt you are
Guevaristas 2 years ago
@Guevaristas I did factory work for 10 years yes a decade I also did dairy farm work for 2 years and was a laborer for a year (warehouse work as well as mowing cemeteries once a week) so yes I am working class.
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
@GuevaristasOh and I want private property rights for myself. There is no exploitation in a true value for value exchange, I rented an apartment for a years on my own free, will exchanging value for value and because there were a bunch of people that own buildings for me to rent (or to pay off their mortgage as you put it) it was not a shack but nice (in a basic sort of way) and inexpensive ($400. A month) private property is a basic human right.
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
private property is not a basic human right, it could also be said that all property must be under "common ownership" and that no person has the right to any interest in property, bourgeois property that is.
You apartment senario:
There are landlords in new zealand behaving like sharks. Many are rich property developers, they own properties all over this city. They do not need this degree of wealth. They use the predicaments of others to pay mortgages off for them.
Guevaristas 2 years ago
If it is too expensive buy your own apartment and rent it out, or dont live in Aucklandmove to Palmerston North or something. As for your public ownership is a right that requires the state the state cannot give rights the state is only capable of taking rights away. Do you live with your elderly mother?
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
yes, the smaller towns are cheaper of course, but that's missing the point.
You assert to have an interest in land is a "right", but it 's equally valid to state that every citizen has a right not to be exploited.
No, Gue, does not live with his elderly mother lol.
Landlords have always been one of the class enemies of Communists. Look at the "Struggle Sessions" during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
Do you think it's ok for the sick, ill etc, to pay off $100,000 to a Landlord?
Guevaristas 2 years ago
The #1 class of enemy W/ communistso they would be near the first to be murdered in the purge huh? I rent, I am not being exploited by my landlord, and it is an exchange of VALUE for VALUE on the part of both our FREE WILLS, he provides a service I do not want to get stuck with a mortgage yet (and then get stuck living in one place forever, especially not in Michigan). Auckland is demand and supply were demand and supply meet that is price.
badgerattoadhall 2 years ago
murder? Who mentioned that?

Guevaristas 2 years ago
I think I would want to watch it happen, if he killed my loved one
hintofblue 2 years ago
you line of thinking is sadistic and depraved. you would enjoy the death of another human being by electrocution, what does that say about you then ay ay?
Guevaristas 2 years ago
Guevaristas, I think if a person killed one of my loved ones, it would be the same as killing me and I would have no pity, I would become sadistic and depraved, so then I would enjoy watching the death of the person by electrocution in that case
hintofblue 2 years ago
and becoming sadistic and depraved are they good human qualities?
They may be similar to the qualities the murderer had
Guevaristas 2 years ago
ay ay, it says I want em dead, and I want em dead now. Honestly, if it wasn't your lover killed, then don't butt in. If your lover is killed, then you choose. Don't make choice for others.
djdragon181 2 years ago
The justice, I expect, is in the removal of the individual from the ability to ever repeat what they had done previously. Someone willing to kill may also be willing to do the same thing even while incarcerated and that doesn't even begin to speak about what they might do if they escaped or even if released long in the future. Some crimes are just that way. The beltway sniper for example. So I can't say I'm against it.
PaleHearse 2 years ago 2
'Someone willing to kill may also be willing to do the same thing even while incarcerated...'
"may" how do you assess this degree of risk?
Guevaristas 2 years ago
I don't... that's why I'm pro death penalty. Again, this isn't about rehabilitation. At the level of a Ted Bundy there is no rehab. If you look at how the death penalty is metered out, not everyone is subject to it. The crimes that merit it.. ah.. merit it.

Go get 'em. but be careful.
phillyeagles217 2 years ago
I see. I misunderstood where you were coming from, then. BTW, the young woman who was killed 20 years ago was a sorority sister of mine - not my real sister - although I care about her the same way I do my real sister - that's why, even 20 years later, I'm still pissed about it, and would still like to see the rat (again, I'm censoring myself) who killed her die.
knightryderrwn 2 years ago

SpreadingTruth4111 1 year ago
@SpreadingTruth4111 This is true. Especially if you are considered Honor Grade or "Green Clothes" as they call it. I spent 4 months in a green camp and other than the fact that I couldn't leave it wasn't bad at all. In fact, it helped me get sober and in shape. It was far better than our county jail for damn sure. Now "brown" places like Corcoran in CA are simply inhumane and should be shut down or given an overhaul. Half of the problems in those places are gangs, the other half is bad staff.

Just because they're innocent one time around, you will find MANY skeletons emerging.

this video is an example of a highly civilized country. not.
instead of concentrating on neat ways to kill people, shouldn't we put more money into schools and social programs so that people don't grow up to be murderers? the US and china are the only civilized countries in the world that have the death penalty, and yet we have one of the highest crime rates in the world. seems to me that fucked up state sanctioned ritual murder doesn't necessarily keep anyone safe.
hiimbrady 3 years ago
You obviously don't know what your talking about. Not every criminal is raised to be a psycho-murderer. Some of the are born that way and are impossible to make able to fit in our society. Schools and social programs don't help kids who get beaten and raped by their parents. No, they actually make people into these kind of sick people. And they are not able to be helped when they are too old to learn that killing because of anger is wrong. So they just have to be executed. Schools don't help...
iLuvBMW 3 years ago
dont you think its more of a pain to sit inside a cell for your whole life than to sit in a cell for 3 days and get executed? People can change you know, with help and support, it takes ten years or more but, for some murderers or especially rapists it should be death penalty.
MorphyXXXX 3 years ago
The inmates try to compromise staff, and infiltrate everyone's privacy. I have acousin who has done this to my grandmother for eight years. Inmate live for the con. It is a great relief for everyone when executions are performed. By the way, my cousin admits he did it, he has raped family members and doubt in these crimes ahs been eliminated. He killed a woman in the north and the south. Check ou the assistant editor of the Miami Herald in 2000. That's her.
homerekker 3 years ago
The truth is that most people take advantage of the system and it eventually fails. Communism looks good as an outline, but human nature involves greed. Greed is the downfall. That's why states like Massachusetts and California are in debt, and Nevada isn't. Also, executions are a necessary part of the corections system. I have a relative on death row, and I only feel disgust for him and compassion for the victims' family members. Three years to go.
homerekker 3 years ago
i'm not sure i buy your twisted logic. no, killing people is not the answer to this country's economic problems. i feel compassion for your relative. it's not his fault that he is who he is. what would jesus do?
hiimbrady 3 years ago
Sorry, I only feel compassion for his victims and their families. I actually worked at NSP and was working the night an execution took place on 4/26/2006. I don't know who this "Jesus" guy is, but I wouldn't want anyone killing him or his family. They'll do time, and do the electric ride-just like anyone else. Your logic is just as twisted to me. But we share the earth together, and I will continue to make more room for you and yours here through participation in these "disposal" events.
homerekker 3 years ago
my logic is not twisted, and your logic simply does not exist. you are offering what amounts to a childish emotional response. a rational person would think about the subject more pragmatically, where as you just want revenge, as if barbarically strapping someone to a chair and running electricity through them until they cook is going to bring anyone back to life.
killing people is not a good way to show that killing people is wrong.
hiimbrady 3 years ago
Not eceonomic problems........only when those problems mature into criminal activity, does the justice system come into play. I guarantee your opinions would change if a close family member of yours was raped, tortured, murdered and then mutilated through post-mortem sexual intercourse. This is my cousin. He must die. Have a nice day;)
homerekker 3 years ago
and that is why it is unwise to govern with emotions. thankfully you are not in charge of anything important.
hiimbrady 3 years ago
Someday, maybe someone will murder your loved one. Then we'll see how much emotion comes into "play" with your decision. You must be a psych major. man, you are one unreasonable retard.
first of all, i have nothing to do with the field of psychology, and even if i did, psychologists can't prescribe medication. so that part of your "argument" simply doesn't exist.
second of all, if one of my loved ones is murdered, there is no way in hell that executing the one who did it will bring them back. since there is nothing to gain, except for petty, childish vengeance, i see no reason for the killing to continue.

How about if we blame the criminals?

the people who are being put to death knew what was coming before they murdered some inocent person. it could have been your mom and sister or child. why should my tax dollars help that person live? the money could better the victims families. no i have no heart for these low lives. pay the price and be done with it!

"Justice isn't about killing. "
Then what is it about?

to answer your question about the wrongly accused. less than 2% of the convicted felons in todays prisons are in there for not actually committing the crime. and you may think that about the death penalty but think about this for a moment. lets say you have a daughter and someone kidnapped brutally raped and murdered her. you can not honestly say that you would not want to see the state sentence that person to death. think about it.

the death penalty in this country is too soft these mosters killed there victtoms imhumanely and the same should be done to them there deaths should be painful as humanly possable if death in death row was extremely painful there would be lower crime rates. the mosters must suffer like there victoms did simple as that.they should be beaten to death not get a shock to there little brain.death row should be like hell not sit in a chair and get electricuted to death, beat them with a hammer to death

your a very ignorant person. two wrongs don't make a right. no one has the right to kill someone else..

If no one has the right to kill then would you disband the army and police? Imprison people for killing in self defense.
"Everyone deserves another chance."
Even those who rape and kill children? Why should they get another chance when their victims don't?

also i would like to comment on your thought about the inmates having to live and think about what they have done. you obviously do not work in a prison environment, so I will tell you. prisoners that commit class D and E felony crimes such as rape and murder. do not care that they did it. they have no remorse and very few will ever reflect on what they did and be sorry for it. thats the hard truth. but like i said before think if it was one of your family members that was a victim.
