i'm impressed with laura wrights show-down with sonny. she holds her own to maurice's always powerful performances. but i'm not convinced by her softer, emotional scenes. they lack the power that her angry and indignant scenes have. she's not a convincing cryer. maurice, on the other hand, is soooo good when he shows sonny's strength as well as vulnerability. same goes for steve burton and vanessa marcil.

She kicks ass in every scene. When the writing fails, leave it to LW to salvage the eppy!  I just love watching her. She takes Carly wherever needed, and I enjoy her interpretation immensely!

I agree. Sarah, Tamara, and Laura are all talented in different ways. Laura is very strong actress and was incredible in these scenes. If you can enjoy all 3 actresses (minus the Carly before Laura) you can appreciate what they each bring to the table and how that adds to what the character of Carly has meant to GH over the years. Usually re-casts destroy soap characters, but with Carly it has kept her entertaining.
