Radiohead is like Chinese food: I've been overeating their music for 13 years, yet I never seem to get full. I'm beginning to suspect that they put MSG in their music.
what a great interview. jonny seems like such an intelligent, thoughtful person and his comments about music were really interesting. this is the first long interview ive heard of jonnys and it makes me wish he did more interviews because to be honest hes alot more articulate and coherent than thom is in his interviews.
Man his voice is beautiful. If Radiohead ever finishes he should become a late-night radio host just so I can go to sleep listening to it. It gives my head warm, fuzzy feelings.
funny how the interviewer points out the criticisms about them thinking too much and jonny goes like "yeah...." and porceeds to overthink a response to it
It is funny but I think the answer was one of the best he could have given. People don't want to think about beautiful music while hearing it they just want to soak it up.
its funny ow jonnys talking about how he likes that fans dont care about their personal lives, but just love their music, yet here we have 5 people arguing about what college he went to lol, who cares, he and they make great music, who cares what their favourite colour is or what crisps he likes, listen to the music
he's so down to earth but at the same time very knowledgeable of what he is talking about and what he does. amazing that he is still so young yet so talented and full of insights
nope, he didn't got to oxford. he's from oxfordshire, which is outside oxford. as a matter of fact, he only attended college for a semester...not that that's even relevent since having a university degree has never guaranteed anyone intelligence or success.
i think what makes this a good interview is that he isn't as "threatening" as thom, not to seem as thom is horrible, it's just that jonny is more calm, and doesn't seem annoyed to answer questions.
You're right, I like Jonny because he is nice, and his voice is nice, and he writes nice music and comes from a nice family with nice values and they live in a nice house with nice furniture and nice cats... and it's all very nice.

He's so honest about the strings of music. I wish it were pure, so hard...SO HARD. But he's right.

"Yeah, we were lucky she had good taste in music, bringing home Magazine, The Buzzcocks... Joy Division and New Order and stuff.
We were lucky, she could have been bringing us, y'know, Iron Maiden or whatever, terrible bands..."
