Horrible! See why it failed now! The 3D look that SC3 put out was lousy but not this bad! They just don't understand...KISS---Keep It Simple Stupid! We want the regular game play in ST2, not this 3D crap! Just give us more races with more ships. Keep the graphics 2D!!!

i think they should make a star control movie... if they did it right and based it on the sc2 story line it would blow star wars and star trek out of the water... however they'd probaly find a way to f it up, just like sc3..

I'm glad it didn't get released myself. One crappy non-canon game is enough!

I'm hoping for a SCIII that can be the true sequel to SCII that SC3 failed to be.

But I fear it may never come about. :/

Yes it was, it was short, half the lines where stolen from SC2, its new races where mostly boring, its new ideas where mostly bad. The original writers weren't involved.

SC3 got maybe the Spathi and to a lesser extent the VUX right (Although giving the VUX genetic angst was also a dumb idea.) And I suppose the K'tang where amusing, but really that doesn't even begin to make up for whats wrong with it.

Plus, the music was the best in SC2, way better than SC3. Problem was, SC3 was made by an entirely different group. :(

Yes it was. Too short, annoying, and downright goofy in parts, its clunky interface blew and the fact that the Doog ship could paste pretty much anything didn't help. Never mind the EPIC FAIL of the SCIII Syreen who looked like ghouls.
