When I sell it, it will still say adult owned...LMAO...It does very well in the water, this is a creek but it has been in the Tallapoosa River before and will again. It's going on 4 years old and still running strong. It is heavy but you always trade stuff to get stuff. Have fun, drink lots of beer while you ride and never ever wear a helmet. Live people......

He got the belt wet in the clutch system, Most automatic 4-wheelers use a rubber belt. Wet rubber on metal = fail. He'd have to pull the cover and let it drain out and dry, unless theres a moisture valve on it..

For those who say it dont have a snorkel i gurantee it is sealed up other wise the belt would have got wet and not turned the tires at all. I used to own a Po Po. Some Polaris dont look like they are snorkeled for example this one but they are. the snorkels are called stealth snorkels there either hidden under the headlight Pod or built into the stero box. that bike has to be seal up somewhat other wise it would have probably Hydro locked
Nice idea to put the snorkel in the box!! also gives floatibility (or however you write it) . Some guys used big boxes and winches to pass tru a river in my country, the polaris floats well ans can go tru big rivers

the airbox on an atv is setup so that when it starts to suck water it will just cut off....before it actually fills the intake tube up and sucks water into ur engine
the only reason it shut off is probably there was a snorkel in the headset and the water just acted like a hand over your snorkel you probably just got a little water in the air box and the hole atv never went under till the end the headset stayed up (DID YOU BRAKE THE 2 REAR AXLES it looked like it) my rancher 420 could take that over eny day

I have about 200 hours on this thing just in the water and have no problems to date. 5' or less and I don't have a problem. more than 5' and the pump sure comes in handy....
It is water cooled so it doesn't get nearly as hot as an air cooled engine, plus it is aluminum. Really surprised it lasted that long. Just goes to show just how much water they can take before that belt slips.
I wish i had the money to abuse my equiptment...hate to be the 2nd owner of that thing! Makes me glad i buy NEW!

@stagmie dude you do know that there is no way to polute the water by an atv and cause any serious damage... mud seriously come on what happens when it floods? and btw no engine will lock up forever and if it just so happens to rust up from water you can clean it out or go buy a new one and they will melt the old one down and use it again. another thing boats exhaust comes out in the water and areates it with exhaust fumes killin fish. just add this on to what sfd311 posted GO HUG A FUCKING TREE

the airbox on an atv is setup so that when it starts to suck water it will just cut off....before it actually fills the intake tube up and sucks water into ur engine

the only reason it shut off is probably there was a snorkel in the headset and the water just acted like a hand over your snorkel you probably just got a little water in the air box and the hole atv never went under till the end the headset stayed up (DID YOU BRAKE THE 2 REAR AXLES it looked like it) my rancher 420 could take that over eny day

I have about 200 hours on this thing just in the water and have no problems to date. 5' or less and I don't have a problem. more than 5' and the pump sure comes in handy....

It is water cooled so it doesn't get nearly as hot as an air cooled engine, plus it is aluminum. Really surprised it lasted that long. Just goes to show just how much water they can take before that belt slips.
I wish i had the money to abuse my equiptment...hate to be the 2nd owner of that thing! Makes me glad i buy NEW!
