This is a tradition in our family too, my father also claimed it was a Scottish tradition so perhaps there is some truth in it. As with all things to do with Christmas pudding we use brandy to help the flavours along, and more butter because if something is good fried, it is better with more oil!
I am scottish and this is a scottish thing. You eat it all year round here, but its just called fruit puding since we eat it anytime. I dont personaly but my mum always does. Its eat usally as a brekfast with beans & eggs etc Lol
@madclegx Not sure if I'd eat this for breakfast, but its good to finally know if this really is a Scottish thing. I always suspected my Mum was joking LOL
David I am not a troll at all, but come on... You put christmas pudding in a pan of butter. lol could you have possibly showed us how to make Christmas pudding? Like once again I show great respect for you and you are a great chef but you dropped pudding in a pan. 0_o
@MrButterworth24 I know it's not a real recipe (I even said that in the video) but it's something people might not be familiar with. Just a litl extra for th Christmas season ;)
ohh dammnnnn!!! i jux stopped by to check thys 2nd vid of u n dammmnnn i LOVE ur eyes!!!!!!!!! omigod so jealous!!!! i was lalalala`ing then ur face pops up n BAM ur prettyyy eyes in my face! i likkke:D
i went out and bought a christms pudding just for this! haha! maybe you should ask your mom to teach us how to make her christmas pudding in the next video, just my suggestion though... *nudge *nudge ;D
@STSH94 Sadly, my mother passed away a few years ago. I have her recipe, but it's very complicated and I don't think it would suit my style of videos. I'll see if I can find an easier version for next year ;)
@MBvolcom92 I'm afraid it's too late in the year for me to make a Christmas Pudding recipe (it takes a lot of preparation) - but I'll see what I can do next year ;)
@noangel1987 I'm afraid that one's a family secret (even I'm not told how to make it!) but you should be able to buy a nice Christmas Pudding from your local supermarket. If not, try fruit cake ;)
:D Ho ho ho. The Scots would only eat such a thing for desert if it was deep fried and battered. We do however, indulge in fried fruit pudding for breakfast on occasion, but that's accompanied by sausages, eggs, bacon, tattie scones, lorne sausage, black pudding white pudding, bacon and haggis. Oh and a fried tomato...your mother was right, in a way :D
@ALMIGHTYGIRL323 I'm afraid I can't do a Christmas Pudding video (it's too late in the year to get the video made!) but you should be able to purchase a pudding at the supermarket. You can also use Fruit Cake for this recipe ;)
