Don't judge all Petsmart stores by how one mistreats an animal. Bring the problem to the Pet Care department's attention or a manager. Petsmart employees are more than happy to stop what they are doing to stop the suffering of any animal. I work for Petsmart and we take damn good care of our animals!

At our PetSmart we take very good care of our animals. ***ESPECIALLY in the groom shop*** i have NEVER seen any flies in our small animal habitats and our ball pythons, corn snakes, and frogs are very well taken care of(proper temp in habitat is monitored at least twice daily). If you saw something you weren't happy with you should have told the manager on duty. Surprisingly all you managed to do is bitch on youtube. CONGRATS!

Anyone who knows about any instances of animal cruelty at Petsmart can use a hidden camera to video tape the animal's condition and post it on youtube under keywords petsmart and animal cruelty. No matter what any Petsmart employees say there are many documented instances at Petsmart and the breeders they use. Do a search on youtube using the words animal and cruelty and you will see. Animals are not merchandise. Urge Petsmart to stop selling them now!

I don't like petsmart either. A few years back, I took my dog, who has since passed due to old age, in for a bath. We didn't realize until we took a closer look at his skin, but instead of being pink, it was black becuase they had burnt him in their drying process. They don't know how to take care of animals, they just want to sell them.
Thats not true, you cant burn the dog with the drying process. the heat is extremely low but strong blow. YOur dog skin was black was probably due to aging.
Ah, it's not that they don't take care of their animals. I mean, really, for a store that size, and the limited employees, it's kinda hard for everything to get done perfect. Flies are a part of life, unfortunatly. You can chase them out, but, they'll still find a way in. My PetSmart at least tries...please, don't group all the employees and stores together. They said no fulming because they are mean to animals and don't want it to be reveled but it already has. I live in england and there is no petsmart in england and because my county is small theres no cruely in petshops only in home and thats when the RSPCA step in. If there was a setsamrt in england it would get done in like 2 mins. Petdumb more like. Type in on google PETA they will tell you loads more
just because of one employee not treating an animal properly doesn't mean the whole company does that. we aren't mean to our animals we take better care of them than most people do for their own. most people that work at petsmart work there because they love animals and treat them as if they were their own. at least i do what we do is in the best interest of the animals in our store.
omg i hate petsmart so much because when i went in petsmart looking for a guinea pig i was GOING to buy, i saw more then 10 flies in itsa cage and not just the guinea pigs.. i dont think the people who work thweir check the cages at all, so i told my om and she made a complaint to them saying the cages were filled with flies, and thats not good ebcause flies can eat guinea pigs flesh..=( i feel so bad for them...
this is actually very typical of petco and petsmart, but its not just the cute/furry animals that are suffering, i went into one of their stores today and saw that the reptiles and their enclosures were in unacceptable conditions, the reptiles had no heat source whatsoever "which is crucial for there survival" cages were at 65 degrees, which is way below the corrects temps, cages were full of feces, no clean water, absolutely unacceptable.
YEAH, one time i went to petsmart and i bought a hamster the lady there throw my hamster in a box without food or shaving then i said to my dad quitly that maybe i can breed it BUT IT WAS A JOKE then the lady riped out the health form out of my hand!!! so now if my hammie dies i have to buy a new one not get another free :( ASSHOLE!!

Actually, if you look more closely when you're walking in there should be a sign that states "Unauthorized photographs, films, or any other imagery reproduction is prohibited on these premises."
