@jdrepiv I was in an excersise with a couple of royal marines today (they hid and shot blanks at us) ad they used 4 thnder-flashes. They were different to the ones used in the video (more rounded and 'grenade' looking) you can pull the pin and keep pressure on the fuse and you can hold it for a few minutes - but when released you have 3 seconds and the bang is tremendous - sent a shockwave through us all. The don't blind - but disorientate as they shot before and after it - twice as loud as agun

Went airsofting at Combat City for the first time on Saturday and there must have been half a dozen thunderflash and smoke grenades going off on that field. One of them tried to hit Tampa base with one, but choked and landed his throw about 120 feet off from the barricades.

"Hey, what's that smoke?"

Hey I was just wondering if these grenades use and open flame. My team plays in a densely wooded area which has lots of leaves on the ground. We don't want to start any fires so any info would be appreciated!

@C7mb the initial detonation on the smokes provide a flame and intense heat which isn't best in a very dry area with flammable materials. The grenades spark when ignited and provide less of a risk but care should always be taken as these are not toys

This video is a good demonstration of how the pyro works, and using them together. I used to go to the air training corps, which teaches tactics, teamwork, and thinking on the move. It is handy to have that knowledge. Im only just beginning to get into proper airsoft, but i have done loads of backyard airsoft matches. Ive recently got a g&g gr16, which is fantastic, so soon i should be going to some proper sites. Really looking forward to it :D

Anglians are still a good Regiment. Strange what happened to the Scots. We used to have a Division of 6 Infantry Regiments but they re-branded the Division into a Super-Regiment which now has 6 regiment sized Companies. So its still essentially a Division operating under the guise of a Regiment made up of huge companies. Bloody pointless if you ask me

Are the pins in the ring pull grenades loose enough to be pulled out with your teeth? If they are that's just another liitle slice of awsome there.

The pins are really quite secure for health and safety. A company like TLSFx wants to ensure safety away from play so it does require a bit of force to remove, unless of course you have teeth like a Great White Shark ;)

I was thinking though ... wouldn't it be a good idea to just team up with ScoutTheDoggie during a game and have him film you on the move for these things? You could give a quick description of what you're going to use and how, and then do it during play. Much like now, but then in full action and you won't be busting 'nades just for us ;-)

Scout has filmed me several times but i'm always being bombarded with questions on pyro; Whats it called? How do you use it? Where you get it? How much? etc etc etc

This way guys get a close up look at it and will then understand whats happening when they see it during game play

i used all 3 of these grenades yesterday i highly recommend all of them, the twin vent smokes kick out so much smoke, i bet you couldnt see a house behind one of them. Also those pea grenades go with a real thud, you can really feel it in your chest from even about 5 or 6m away...
