There are active TFRs that have been effective since 2003 over Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and an indirect TFR that prohibits flight below 3000' above ground level, and within a three nautical mile radius of a stadium having a seating capacity of 30,000 or more
I just flew over the area today-- I had perfect visibility and no clouds--It was amazing! I wish I had my camera! Despite not being allowed below 3000 ft. you can still see a lot--I saw all the major landmarks there. It was really fun to fly over Disney--and that airspace is super busy--takes a good amount of situational awareness and VERY good communication skills. Not the airspace for student pilots or freshly minted private pilots. But very fun though.
11.3 Miles in 8 minutes exactly. Traced it on Google Earth! :) Nice little trek. Seen the helecopter ride on 192 (Irlo Bronson)many times - saw another on International Drive. There are a few around. Haven't done it yet. Looks fun!
notice how they dont go right over disney..its bc disney has like a certain radius or something that planes and helicopters cant go in so theyre not right over disney world bc thats what walt disney wanted..notice you never see or hear them when your in the parks
i lvie in west virginia im like 18 hrs away we drive and i want to go to disney soo bad to i msiss it soo much every disney video qwith music makes me tear up =(
Name of the company is Orlando Helitours and they can be found at OrlandoHelitours dot com. The ride shown here looks to be their Tour #2, which goes from 7-9 minutes and is $40 for an adult, $30 for a child (2 person minimum). They have longer and shorter flight tours as well.
kids age to ride one of this?

Is there a NOTAM for WDW? I'm thinking there is a semi-permanent NOTAM but wasn't sure. I guess I can check online here...DUH

Yeah. It's printed on the sectional and the terminal area charts.

I live in PA and drove down there in a bus with 40 other people, it took 24 hours. But it was totally worth it.

I live three hours away. I go there on school day trips. I might also go to U of Central Florida, which is about 45 minutes away. hehehe

We went on the same ride
Was awsome...But they are not aloud
to go over disneyworld itself, some laws
or something...but you could just about
see the castle :-0
Next time we go to Orlando...i wanna do the
tour over I Drive...Universal seaworld ect
Think it will be worth the extra Money for sure
Can't wait to go back hehe
Cool vid tho!

Look for the Red helicopter on the North side of 192. It's about 1/4 mile West from the huge Orange shaped store.
