I guess you told me,sorry i was just kinda pulling your chain.Actually i was maybe a little to young to see them.I became a Drum Corps. fan in the late 60's.Boston,Troopers ,Blessed Sac,Hurcs. Thanks for responding, love your videos, and i did march with the Brassmen in 72
Who did they beat? Just about every Drum Corps of their day! Including Garfield Cadets, with one of the best Jr. hornlines from that era.. The music, uniforms, and style were way ahead of the times...
@SKYBRITE Just about every Drum Corps off that era, including Garfield Cadets...
Who sounded like who? Their nickname was "The Blue Sky!" What the Skyliners played off the line in 1972, St. Rocco's did in 1964!
Same Drum instructor, same Horn instructor.. When St. Rocco's Cadets disbanded in 1968, what was left went to the Skyliners... And you can say the same thing about "The Long Island Queensmen," and "The Sunrisers!"

Both merged in this prospective way...

After St. Rocco's, Drum Corps was not the same for me.... St. Rocco's was on the cutting edge....... Fell short because of the war.....
