@94jonathang Yeah, I think there are 4 different menus in Advanced Setup.

Also do you know about Rankings?

This means that if you save a player right after the first match you play then you can always reload it under "Load Player" and climb rankings (you start on Beginner:21 and the best one is Perfect:1).

You can check Perfect Dark Ranking Calculator on the Internet for the criteria needed to climb to the next rank. ^_^

@94jonathang Keep in mind that you can only get the awards for Headshot (yellow star) and Accuracy (green star) when you play against a human opponent - you might want to do that, since it will drastically speed up you rank achievements.

An alternative is to simply start with a dummy opponent, shoot the guy in the head and abort the Challenge (this gives you all four awards); or, more fairly, play with the dummy standing around so you have to protect him/her.

@Laurelindo Yep, I usually get headshot and survival fine, it's the accuracy award that ir rare for me, I'm getting the hang of it though.

I think you need to have an accuracy around 50% during any one match (the overall Accuracy in the Statistics doesn't matter) and you also need to be the most accurate person during that battle, since only one player can get any one award.

Also remember that grenades and rockets are not considered "hits", so don't use them too often.

@94jonathang That would be pretty hard yes, but it doesn't matter which Simulants you play against - you can do target practice against a MeatSim in Slow-Motion if you want to. XD

Although it's probably more interesting to play against NormalSims so you get some sort of challenge, but still can hit them fairly easily. =P

@normagar Perfect Dark requires an N64 expansion pack ( that red covered jumper pack thing.) Other than that, you can only do challenges. That's why Perfect Dark's graphics are way over the N64's limit. Hope that helps. =D

Dude, trying to beat these challenges on an emulator would be impossible. you can't aim for shit, because the cursor jumps across the screen when you try to press a direction as gently as possible.

thanks for video :) No one seems to have mentioned you can set your sims to follow just press LB then RB two or three times, then set to follow/protect etc (XBOX 360). Had this game back in the day and now Im back on it again on XBLA, Im up to challenge 25 and Im also working my way through solo on Perfect Agent without auto aim for the achievments!!!. Best game ever made IMO, the only game that comes close is COD4.

I don't find this challenge too bad. Its the 29th one which is amazingly hard - I glitched it by crouching in a little hole in the level so they couldn't shoot me but doing it properly would be impossible.

I hate these SIMs have such perfect accuracy. I have not gone no further than this challenge and am I still on it because I can't beat it. I knew the Maulers were the perfect choice, but even with them, I still get ripped apart by them.

Description for a Darksim: Ass with 99.9% accuracy that runs like hell.

A tip. Mauler pwn, dual would be best against these opponents if you miss you have a spare round. Just be sure to have Autoaim on. Wait for them to go to the hill first then their sitting ducks.

@sadperkion I played this challenge today and scored 5 times. Much better than before. If only my partner would stay with me instead of running around getting themselves killed, I could win easily. Even with auto-aim set on, I still get "mauled". lol

Now I got another problem, it's my N64 console, it keeps auto-resetting on it's own while I'm playing. I ordered a pair of new AV cables and got those today, thought it was that, but turns out it's not. What could be causing that problem?

I only recently won this, losing 10-2, then 10-5 after a while, then lost a 10-9 heartbreaker. The next one I got lucky with nearby hills and my sim alive to win 11-4. For me, auto aim hurt more than help so I prefer manual.

5-Try and predict where the next hill will appear. No point charging across the arena if it's about to be captured.

6-Keep on at it. You get to know the level better and better.

Before I won 10/7 I had lost 5/10 before that I lost 2/10 before that I lost 10/1 (a lot of times)

oh and if your sim is with you in the hill just before it's captured you get an extra point, that's why it's good to have her follow most of the time.

I think what happened is that after she killed you with her magnum, she picked up your magnum that you drop from death, and got a double magnum, and started shooting again, but with both guns.

2-run fast!...all the time.. strafe left/right with the yellow buttons and with the directional button push diagonal.

3-and I never knew this... You can command your sim to do things (I think by holding down A then pressing fire twice). I got her to 'follow' me.... most of the time.

4-I needed luck....when the game started my sim was in the hill . I commanded her to 'hold the hill' (A and fire twice)

I just won 10/7! Been lain up in bed with broken ribs. Thought I'd play on the N64. Anyway....... this level always beat me when I was a kid but it only took me about 10 attempts to crack it this time (the difference being I had youtube as inspiration).

Tips.....

1-use maulers.... charged and double where possible. Actively seek out these guns when the sims have the hill. I think there are two points where they spawn. No point running in with a magnum.

You have to beat all Challenges to be able to get Missions SOund Tracks to play in Combat Simulator.  If that's what you mean.

No you don't. After you play the mission with the stage music, you can select it in advanced combat setup.  Just select multiple tunes so it'll switch between the tracks.
