I have heard the Un Bois Vanille referred to as "grown up Pink Sugar". Would you agree with that assessment of it?

@FM897 No not at all!.....Prada Candy seems more like a "grown up Pink Sugar"...Un Bois Vanille is NOT sugary or candy like at all in my opinion.

Can I just mention here, if you go to the Hermes website, you can request samples of their perfume free of charge :)

I requested one last year, and it was a shock to me that they responded and sent one out :) Give it a go!

@DearMeNoUserName aww thank-you! Unfortunately I've already mentioned the new fragrances I've purchased in a few haul videos and there's really not enough to warrant another full video. Perhaps when there's more of a new collection I'll do an update ;-)))

i love your reviews & musings, you're so refreshing to listen to! what a refreshing presence on the web...calm, placid, informative, detail-oriented.... i really enjoyed your favorite fragrances ;) Apricot & fig sounds delicious! love how u described it... i'm a real fruity floral lover, but on occasion i tend to love those with a little more body, depth or spice... so will look into that =) Burberry Classic sounds quite yummy & i have Bulgari..not my typical scent but it is somehow amazing!

@pyarkaaloo The fig and apricot is definitely fruity so I think you'll really like it;-)) I've actually purchased 5 or 6 new fragrances all in the vanilla family and they are AMAZING!! I think you can find some of them if you type kokolaroo fragrances ....only if you're interested of course ;-D

I love un jardin sur le Nil too, unfortunately they don't last long on me, the notes evaporate so quickly:(:(

@CocoHK1 Try dabbing a little bit of Vaseline on the areas before you spray. It should help make the fragrance last much longer ;-)

I really enjoyed your video! I just picked up Un Jardin sur le nil after reading the book The Perfect Scent on its creation. A fascinating book for us fragrance lovers. If you haven't read it, give it a try. I bet you'll love it!

My mom used to wear Jessica McClintock when I was younger...LOVE it. I wear it out on special occasions, and it's kind of a "staple" of sorts. :)

That Jessica McClintock perfume...*sigh* I wish it worked on me, because I LOVE, love, love it on other women! My mom has been wearing it off and on for a years, and every time she does, I just want to hug her and snuggle her for days. It has a very nostalgic kind of thing going on. :)

@mehrunissa It's very nostalgic for me too!!! I used to wear it in my teens!!....anyone who knows me from that time loves it when I wear it because it takes them back to their teens...lol!! Yes it is a shame how different it smells from person to person...although in one way it's good because it makes it very unique to whoever is wearing it ;-)))

I think I'm going to buy the Fig & Apricot scent that you reviewed in part 1. That sounds like a perfect find for spring/summer.

My signature scent is Hermes Eau de Merveilles, but I would love to try Jardin sur le Nil. Great video! Thanks :)

Yep, I'm feeling you in the JM for Women... it's been a staple in my summer fragrance collection. Alfred Sung does fragrance justice too. Have you taken in any KatiePuckric's vids? I don't know how she keeps all those boutique fume choices (read too many choices) straight.

It's called KatiePuckricSmells (so tongue in cheek - sounds like middle school) but she is a real hoot. Her vids are short and sweet and just a fun time, she has a blog as well and it's astounding how many educated 'noses' she has as followers. You should trot on over and let me know how you liked it. I got mine at Sephora but I think they dropped them. Don't see it on the website or anything....it definitely is an aficionado's kind of line....not to mention a bit pricey. Will definitely let you know if I come across it;-))))

I don't even know you but I can totally imagine Un Jardin... suiting you wonderfully. I admire that fragrance very much, rafined yet playful and a little weird, just gorgeous. I love your French pronounciation, too (hihi, sorry, teasing :))

Gosh Poli...honestly in all the years that I've tested different fragrances I have never come across something where I thought ...hmm this is like Jessica McClintock. But then again I am not a perfume junkie. I love perfume but it's not an obsession like makeup&skincare ;-))) What I will say is it is NOTHING like Burberry or Bulgari. And from what I'm told it smells VERY different on different people. Sorry I couldn't be more help:) If I do come across something I will definitely let you know:)
