  • @ amar007,

These Blades are off the shelf made by "Align" night blades, they come with a charger for about £30 you can also buy them without the charger.

They are quite good blades too, they are Carbon fibre and niceley made.

  • very nice hovering , where did you get them blade lights from mate ?? :) well done

  • hey, i have a walkera creata 400 and when it gets about 60cm off the ground it starts shaking side 2 side. does any1 know wat the prob migh be?

  • Hi Rav,

going by what you say, heavy vibrations usually mean bent mainshaft.

or flybar is not equal. If you stick a video of it i will be able to tell you.

  • ohk, thank you. i think it might of happened when i nosedived my heli into the ground. i might sell it and buy a trex 450 kit. if i crash it the parts are cheap and the cost to make it will probably be about $150. urs looks like it flies pretty damn good

  • wow.....I just bought an esky king 3 and so far have just tinkered with spooling up and giving it just enough power short of taking off, with training kit on. I can get it to lift off the skids level, with trainer still on ground, but am realy nervous to give it more power..am i being silly or is it natural? I dont want to crash it!

  • Hi class37s

I wouild take it outside where you have more room, the problem with flying in a restrictive space is the downwash from the blades/walls will make it less stable. If the tail is holding in one position then take her up and keep the tail towards you concentrate on keeping her level, small steps and you will get there.

I had the Honey bee king 2 as my learning tool, crashed it many many times.

  • many thanks Mitchel (rexinre)

I'm in the process of "once again" equipping with night gear, similar to the way I did it last year.

soon it will be dark nights ....

  • Wow, very impressive! Nice hover.

  • hi Artyflo,

The most important thing for easy to handle hovering is making sure the swash plate is level, when you spool up and before take off look at the disk to see if it is not level and adjust links until it is level from all angles, do it safely, when at eye level. you can add EXPO in the TX to soften movements around the centre, it is good for new people to learn with, also flybar weights make it more stable too

hope this helps and thanks again for the nice comments my friend.

  • Thanks for the advice Nokiaandy! Yes the swashplate leveling and EXPO setting is very important, i had my mentor help me do the adjustments for both. I'm in my 2nd week of hover practice and can now hover in a smaller/narrower area. I find that such environments forces me to be more alert ("on my toes") and disciplines me to counter heli's drifting more diligently. But to do it in the small confines of a kitchen like you, i'll need another few months!

  • sorry, i meant 2nd month of hover practice.

  • Seriously, you're far from average! I'm on Phoenix for 5 weeks and can hover just for a few secs before it sways/drifts.. So trust me, when I see how you can hover on the spot in that confined space, WOW! I'll checkout yr other videos too!

  • boy you're good!! thanks for posting!

  • Hi Artyflo, many thanks for the nice comments.

In the grand scheme of things, I am only an Average pilot, but i strive to get better, and the more stick time the better and easier i find it. my best video is the loops in windy tops, although now I find loops quite easy too. passed my BFMA Cert A in july on this Rex . it is great fun.

  • wow you have great heart to try this in such small space,,ground effect from 3 sides and floor,,nice reflector

  • Hi Johnsoncp13

thankyou very much, It was the first flight, but the setup i did was good enough to allow me to hover nicely, my first build too. :)

  • Very well controlled in such a small area.

  • thankyou very much crazy9

I am getting to grips with this flying business.

have you seen my latest video in the woods

  • nice...very nice....top control...10/10

  • Nice hove rin a small area.

  • Hi Rolfcopter105,

I paid £330 for everything except GY401 & Digital Tail servo, and The AR6200 Receiver

all valued at £159 so total was almost £500

the Align night blades are £29 inc charger

  • love the glow on the blades, and how much did it cost over all?

  • sweet!!
