I do miss the days when every artist didn't seem to be squeezed out of the same meat grinder. Cindi definitely had her own style, but every hit she had sounded nothing like the one that came before it.

I mean most of the popular "artists" today are manufactured by the music corporation based on their ability to sound like someone who is already popular. Disney is a fine example. They keep keep building young stars using a fairly specific formula that it fairly predicable. They have a certain look, they sing a certain way and they are anything but original. The only original stuff coming out right now is the indy music that is too risky for the music industry to touch. Pretty sad.
