we have an adolescent white tail deer that drinks from our outside dog's water bowl. The deer and dogs don't spook each other anymore and he has no fear of humans at all. Normally I would be ok with this, but i fear for the deer's life when he grows a rack during deer season :(
Every time I see a video like this, I always feel that those people are the luckiest people. They get to have an experience of a life time, by caring for such exstordinary animals. The moose and fawn are absolutely precious!
Does anybody know the background music? The Irish Descendents were credited by the video's creator, but the name of the instrumental was omitted. I can't find it.
It's wonderful music to accompany cute baby animals.
@jagjagjag009 A baby moose was in distress in a creek in Minnesota .
A man got him out of the creek; tried to find the mother & sent him on his way, but eventually the moose stumbled back into the creek & was rescued again.
The baby moose followed the man home. The man has only a small cabin so he took the moose to another neighbor, who took these photos.
That neighbor woman looks after wild animals & she put it in a pen with a rescued fawn she raised them till they grew too big

Yes, baby deer. This looks like some kind of animal sanctuary, to me. That's an old birthing pen that the wee moose and deer are in and the simplicity of the house layout, no baubles to get broken, tells me that it sees many wild animals.
animal rehabilitation? orphaned? would love to know the outcome as he/she grew up, the pictures are 'legendary" and thanks to good folks like you a moose calf has a chance at a happy life!
These pictures were taken out side of fort nelson B.C Canada, a friend e mailed them to me along with the story. The guy in the pictures was hiking and seen the moose in a river and pulled it out. he tried to scare it away so it would find its mother but it would not it followed him home , or so the e-mail said.
@holloway126 ...I just discovered this video ...I was instantly stuck by a thought and before I could even formulate a question I read your comment in which you shared a wonderful story ...I thank-you for sharing your emailed information about these brilliant images. This is awesome evidence of how well we can use our time and the internet in information resourcing. If you feel so inclined I would ♥ to see/hear/read more about the calf/baby/moose.
I wonder what the story was behind this? I hope they raised it until it was old enough to take care of itself and released it into the wild. I hate to see a wild animal thats kept in captivity.
Hehe he's pretty cute and small. It looks like the pup enjoyed having yet another animal around the house. (cute baby deer!) Your house and yard look really cool, too. It's nice to be able to see videos that give me "warm fuzzies." Thanks
nice and all but that wouldnt be a good idea if ur not planning on keeping it..its gonna lose its naturel fear of hgumans ...and hows it gooin to learn how to survive out in the wild ?
Such a cute baby! Looks like a fawn designed by a committee! Note the comparison shots starting at 1:10. I guess they can never release the baby into the wild because it has no fear of humans or those remarkably nonchalant dogs.
I was an exchange moose studying the english language in north america. I speak english pretty good, er well, now? I do not know but am all grown up and I like most humans. if you want to be a friend, let me know. Look for me in alaska near that birch tree with my initials carved in it. :)
My apologies also. I suppose I should have said "No white tailed deer." At least I think it's a white tailed deer in the end. I wouldn't know because I don't really know anything about deer, other than moose and caribou.
It looks as though they might BE A SANCTUARY....I'm from Alaska and I've seen what happens to a Moose calf when the cow is hit by a vehicle or killed by a hunter....most often, the calf dies of either an attack by a predator, or starvation. We are not allowed to "assist" in a situation like that here. We are supposed to let "nature" take it's course. I don't like it, but that's the way it is. Nice to see them nurturing it so well though....very sweet.
This is cute. The down side is when you get a wild animal imprinted and acclimated to humans and then they grow up to weigh 1000 ponds or more and become a dangerous but can't live in the wild.
