hey i am about to get one for 100 it has 150 gig hardrive and i want 2 know if it will play on all low settings and then i can download gamebooster plzz can u help me
Possible? Yes, on lowest settings, probably 10-15 frames, Stormwind will probably result in 2 frames per second. YOu will need an external HDD though unless you have greater than 32gb HDD.
New netbooks have 1.6 gig processors and can be upgraded to 2 gigs of ram. I will use an external cd drive to INSTALL it instead of using a lame external hardrive. it has a 160 gig hardrive. I can't wait to get mine
Yeah, but be prepared, it doesn't play much better than on this netbook :P Netbooks are not meant for gaming, you'll get about 6-10 fps most likely regardless, my buddy has a nice Toshiba netbook. Good for basics, but everything on low and you'll have to be okay with choppyness.
@SapAuthor I come back to this video 7 months after I commented. I get around 15-30 fps average. With GMA Booster I get 20-30 fps average. It plays just as fine in instances and in battlegrounds. I haven't tried game booster or whatever, but I have heard it increases people's fps by atleast 5fps. I found it plays it perfectly fine. I have only seen it drop to 5 fps once. That was in the trade district of Stormwind. So I guess I proved you wrong. I have the 1005ha but the 900 can play it well too
And btw, a little tip, I used to call it Asus, but my friend has an Asus, and he said it's pronounced "Asooos" [+ 1 for the random o's], and eventually I looked it up and it is, anyways, take care man :)
@Trazor2k0 I wouldn't really "set up" wow on an eee pc. I would set it up and update on another computer initially, and then just copy the entire wow folder on an external hard drive. WoW is unique that it exists inside of it's folder completely. You can port that folder (all be it a 16 gb folder) around and start up wow anywhere. In theory though you can install WoW on an external from the EEE PC, but again a slower machine having to install all that may take some time :3
1 gb of ddr2 ram. Windows takes up about maybe 350mb, leaving the rest for WoW. Now if you run out of ram, yeah it will slow you up a ton, but as long as you don't run out of ram (you can monitor with ctrl alt del) DDR2 has a higher ghz speed to it, so for using it for graphics it will do a lot better.
lol i have this same netbook! lol, i downloaded WoW on it, after a couple days putting some stuff on it, and getting to know it lol and stuffs, but when i put WoW on it, it completely slows down alot! so can i run WoW off my 160 gb external hard drive? (like a usb btw)
you are probably running out of hard disk space, since it has only 16gb, and wow is about 15-17 rofl, i'm surprised you could fit it on at all. So, put it on the external, yes it should run fine off of it.
It's pretty nice, but i would recommend going with one with the dual core and a regular hard drive if possible. Regular hard drive cna then hold wow without needing an external, and the dual core atom performend slightly better than the celeron, plus then if some process hangs up it has the other core. This is Jed's one that the OS broke, so was the only option financially :P But pretty fun :D
W00t, she's a beauty ;) WoW plays pretty smoothly on that little baby..*sighs* the precious will soon be mine..very soon. Thank you so much for fixing it up for me honey :) <3

What are you talking about? The Intel Atom is a dual core processor, and is in most netbooks and other small computing devises.
Windows XP does support dual processors as well.
SapAuthor 2 years ago
@SapAuthor netbooks say that they are CPU 2 idk why but they are not dual core.
