  • Mud made some fab records, but I always preferred The Sweet!

  • amazin

  • Mitcham Boys---- Done Well............

  • Only just realised that Jim Morrison did not die in that Paris bathtub.

He removed his feet, lost a little height, and re-appeared as the bass player of Mud!

  • This song attends me since 1974 and I can hear it always again.

    Great song.

  • @albatros131060 I remember it was 1975!

  • good old seventies

  • Never realised that it was this bunch of twats that made this rather good version of this song .

  • Prefer this version to buddy Holly's. Mud were just a brilliant group

  • funny video good song not great but i like it

  • me and my sister were mud fans were mud fans when everyone else were into bay city rollers and if i remember right this song knocked the rollers from no1 think it was bye bye baby but it was long time ago

  • Spot on there mrtwales, this was their 3rd and final number one hit. Great band and Les was a Leeds fanatic as well, he was a great character, had the privelage of seeing Mud perform once. RIP Les.

  • definitely my most favourite Mud-song

  • Superb. Mud were so much fun.

  • what a great decade .

    long live glam rock

  • That wig really suited Dave lol.

  • They were not gay, and IF they were, SO WHAT???

    These were the seventies.

  • great

  • I'll have to say, good sound great harmony! Great group!

  • Original song is from Buddy Holly. Buddy buddy bud but this is "all write" 4 me!

  • Les and Dave i miss you R.I.P Boys

  • i am not good in english but someone are writing somethin about gay and homo sexual none off them vere homos in mud the greatest glamrockband and they sung this song as good as buddy holly

  • Fantastic! i never ever heard this before and i absoltley love it! thanks for the posting!

  • omg Sadimo, I really can't believe that you are suggesting this!I'm asking myself if we always have to find a reason like this one( I mean acusing someoane of being gay)so let me ask you...just because you maybe don't like gay boys you don't like the music they are playing too? They really should be appreciate for making a good job by playing this song for us to make us feel good and enjoy truly music. Sorry for my english but I'm not a native english speaker.

  • excelente!!!

  • ok, thx. I do have that song in my collection, but for the 1st time I really listen to the text. So, if you listen carfully, there is in fact no doubt about the intention? but, however, it a nice piece of music. Regarding Buddy Holly: He would be the only one, that could sing such a song. Even in the 50ties :)

  • it´s a great song. there are so much songs, which remind me on my teenagetime.... ;)

  • makes me realise what great music we had as teens in the 70s

  • @richieforever This song was originally performed by buddy holly in the 50s not the 70s.

  • brilliant song, love it, makes you feel glad to alive in this shit world.

  • this was the no1. on my birth date lol

  • LOve the simplicity :)

  • Yes the Sweet are better by miles, but Mud are great anyway.

  • Possibly their worst song.

  • i love 1:35

    its soo cute^^ :D :D

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I've got that on video, but my VCR broke so can't put it on YT at the mo. Will do at some point though.

  • greta video thanks for sharing it with us,would love to see the top of the pops version when he looks like hes singing to the cleaning lady.

  • A fantastic performance from a fantastic band.

  • this song was such a relief from my acne and being bullied in Dundonald Boys in the 70's - sounds just as good today

  • this brings back my teens,

  • The Sweet is better

  • Mud were as good as the Sweet, in their own unique way. I loved the Sweet too, but all the groups of this period brought their own special 'something' to the feel of the time - and they all knew how to have a laugh ;-)

  • Mud ROCK!

  • Love this song. Thanks for putting it up. :)

  • Thanks for adding this - it was the mega-hit during our first trip to Britain in the 1970s.
