me and my sister were mud fans were mud fans when everyone else were into bay city rollers and if i remember right this song knocked the rollers from no1 think it was bye bye baby but it was long time ago
Spot on there mrtwales, this was their 3rd and final number one hit. Great band and Les was a Leeds fanatic as well, he was a great character, had the privelage of seeing Mud perform once. RIP Les.
i am not good in english but someone are writing somethin about gay and homo sexual none off them vere homos in mud the greatest glamrockband and they sung this song as good as buddy holly
omg Sadimo, I really can't believe that you are suggesting this!I'm asking myself if we always have to find a reason like this one( I mean acusing someoane of being gay)so let me ask you...just because you maybe don't like gay boys you don't like the music they are playing too? They really should be appreciate for making a good job by playing this song for us to make us feel good and enjoy truly music. Sorry for my english but I'm not a native english speaker.
ok, thx. I do have that song in my collection, but for the 1st time I really listen to the text. So, if you listen carfully, there is in fact no doubt about the intention? but, however, it a nice piece of music. Regarding Buddy Holly: He would be the only one, that could sing such a song. Even in the 50ties :)
Mud were as good as the Sweet, in their own unique way. I loved the Sweet too, but all the groups of this period brought their own special 'something' to the feel of the time - and they all knew how to have a laugh ;-)
Mud made some fab records, but I always preferred The Sweet!

Only just realised that Jim Morrison did not die in that Paris bathtub.
He removed his feet, lost a little height, and re-appeared as the bass player of Mud! 0:49
