@slicknick33 I wouldnt care at all I would just take them inside and stack them where we wanted them. Thats what your going to do either if he leaves them in a pile or stack them neat.
Here's a UPS guideline: HAND TO SURFACE. You drivers who show up here and bitch about the customer not "helping to receive" packages are a bunch of fat crybabies. Have some respect for your company and for the customer who provides the revenue that you feel so entitled to, you whiny-ass bitches. You point out how long you've been employed at UPS as if that entitles you to respect. You want respect? Do your fucking $30.39/Hr job with some goddamn pride and quit making excuses.
@eddison72 they make that much money but they deserve it. They have this thing called driver helper you should try it out for a week and see if you think if they deserve that much money. That seems to be the issue with you. They work in 100 degree temperature and they work in 0 degree temperature so until you do the work that they do dont complain about it.
@slicknick33 I know how hard it is. I drove a Package Car at UPS for 11 years. I worked in 110 degree heat during more 10 &12 hour days than I care to remember. Maybe twice I got a driver helper during peak. Never would I have showed up at a customer address and stood there dropping boxes into a pile from waist level. It isn't any more work to set them down neat then it is to drop them into a pile. This looks terrible and the guy obviously has no respect for the customer, self, or UPS.
@eddison72 I can agree with you on that. we only saw a partial video so he may have went back and stacked them neatly?!?! which would have been extra work for him but ive seen drivers scan the boxes just to get them all scanned real quick then stack them.
I've worked at UPS, USPS and FedEx or about 25 years and ALL of your packages go through the same thing. This is how the industry works folks. Your package isn't handled as if it's an unprotected light bulb. The conveyor system alone puts packages through more stress than what you see on this video. I know that everyone believes that they are handled as if everything is very fragile but it's simply not the case. With proper packaging you have very little to worry about. Honestly.
You don't have a dock to set the packages onto, you don't have a cart, you don't have anyone helping the receiving process. You got a guy hiding with a camera. Now, I'm not saying what's in this film is acceptable or even justified, but there is something wrong with this situation beyond the guy tossing the boxes.
I love how on all these videos there's employee's reading regulation on how a package can be handled. Or how, "well they were handled worse before they got there". Seriously? If you hate your job that much quit. If you can't be respectful of other peoples stuff then do something else with your life. I know for a fact not all of you think the way these idiots do but seriously someone else will take that job that will respect it, there are a lot of unemployed that would take your salary.
another great example of what Brown can do for you... get a job at UPS do nothing but bitch how hard you have it and file a stress claim with the union when someone asks you to actually do your job.
by the way. I dare an employee of any company to treat my goods in this manner. You wont work again... You wont eat again... You wont see your wife or kids again and they wont see you again.... You wont breathe again... ;-P Happy Shipping!
@gypsyabbot - Ohhhh the internet bad ass...there's always 1. Wish i was your UPS driver, I'd piss all over every single package just for you...you cock sucker.
At least they take pride in their work and their company pays them to do just that ;-). It's hard work driving all day and using a dolly to get paid $11 an hour... @ddietr Glad the policies of UPS are so clear. "Must be able to withstand chest high drops *And be tossed across another pile of packages forced to the ground off a truck: Please note this is a mandatory delivery procedure".
Maybe you should have confronted him with your compaint instead of hiding and video taping this like a little bitch... If your so worried about the packages go and help him unload them... These are very common sense things, but I have a feeling all you really want is something to bitch about. Your behavior is common among lazy, ignorant peices of shit.
@gypsyabbot LMAO! Noooooooo. thats a slap in the face. Not even $20-$30/hr is enough to set each box down. where the hell do you live? can you imagine climbing in and out of the truck for each one of those boxes? bending, climbing, and lowering puts a lot of strain on the body. the best way to do this is to have someone there with a cart/pallet that the driver can hand the boxes to. otherwise, this is what you get. thats how we do it in America and im damn proud of that!
I covered this gals route once. Nearly every dock I went to there was someone waiting, and at a couple, there were more than 1 guys waiting. At one dock there were like 5 guys waiting. But when I raised the back door, you should have seen the look on there faces, the look of horney disappointment. The dock w/ 5 guys, they all dispersed. I later related this to Lisa, she just laughed. She said "yeah, I get a lot of help, but they are all working it trying to get in my pants"
I recently had a stop where a guy was complaining that I wasn't "properly palletizing" the delivery. They had, I kid you not, 1979 packages.. about 1/2 were boxes, the other half envelopes. When he said that, I just said, "My job is to get it to your dock. When this bay gets full, I'm going to move to the next bay door & continue unloading. If you want it palletized, that's not my job." The great thing about this video is that the lazy suck took the time to video tape the driver, but not help!
all you lazy ass recievers need to help out your ups guy. when you are smoking a cigarette on break, your driver is busting his ass at the next stop. i got some recievers that want me to palletize their deliveries. lazy asses. hey the ones that help out get rewarded with a twelve pack every now and again.
i didn't see anything marked fragile. what is your major malfunction eyegrode? the man was doing his job. are you payed to film the ups driver or to work? or does your daddy just keep u on the payroll to keep u off the street? punk
they beep their horn and ring the bells at docks.. I'm sure someone knew he was there(you).. I do exactly the same thing if no on at that company is going to help me out..you deserve what you got by watching and not helping.
you are absolutely correct JSC, no one should help him do his job! BUT Wouldn't it be nice and a common courtesy for someone to help him with that with that much volume of freight and with a peeper just HIDING around a corner doing NOTHING but watching.. The LOSER should have helped if he knew he was unloading, he knew! he gets what he gets..
no shit, instead of setting him up, try helping him out.. with the volume of boxes he had i'm sure a little help would have gone a long way.. he could have handed them to you and YOU could have palletized them instead of hiding around the corner taping him...U R LAZY..!!
try this: put the camera down, stand behind the truck (your mouth at the level of his cock), take the packages from him, place them down softly, then kill yourself.
Wow. he dropped a package softly with contents in it that are bubble wraped for saftey 1/2 a foot or a foot onto another soft cardboard box with contents in it that are securley wrapped. That's horrible how can this ups driver live with himself?
if you worked for ups like i do you wouldnt give a shit either. and as a matter of fact i dont think you could handle this job but the money and healthcare keep me comin back we prosses 50000 packages every morning i dont even think u can count that high
EXACTLY... he's actually doing his job... but is that what your company pays you for? to videotape random garbage like that... i think thats considered stealing time and you should be fired or should reemburse your company for the 1:14 you stole from them
this guy has probably been doing this for 20 years and tired of coming to your work while you film him. he probably has a pissed off look on his face knowing your finger is up your ass while the other hand holds the camera. you probably filmed rodney king too. PUT THE CAMERA DOWN AND HELP!!
our job is to get it to your door step or business, we dont stock your shelfs or other tasks. and why blame us when your shipments come in were just doing our J.O.B. blame your company if your lazy, or quit.
I´m a ups driver in austria and i know how it is to work at ups. i do it since 4 years and we work 70 hours a week. i think u don´t have a idea what is REAL working. i´m very angry when i see that some people like u always talking shit and don´t help anyone. why don´t u put the camera down and help him? u can be happy that i don´t drive in ur city.
Do you have any kind of logic at all?!? So it will be OK if you order something valuable and I am the UPS driver who handles your parcel like a used roll of toilet paper?!? It is your job. You are paid to do it. You are paid to do it WELL. Your IQ must be very low.
i bet this company paid ups allot of money TO DELIVER all 50 boxes, and i would also bet allot of money that ups did what they were paid to do. which is DELIVER THEM. put the camera down lend him a hand he delivers YOUR FRIGGEN PACKAGES EVERYDAY. btw are u aware of what u captured in ur footage of this ups delivery man doing? if you look very closely, you might see him .... DOING HIS JOB
I worked on a warehouse dock for auto parts and unloaded around 50 packages a day we never had seen so many damaged parts that we had to return it was obvious who was doing it because the corners of the boxes were smashed to fuck!
you lot at cyber market are the worst of them all your so lazy and never help. you should try multi drop driving and then you might know what work is.
If you worked at that stop. Instead of video taping, it would not have happened. A good percentage of receivers hide when we get there. I don't want to do my job. I am lazy. I will let the UPS guy do all the work.I have talked to many receiver's bosses and situation was resolved.
GO TO THE DOCK AND |DO YOUR JOB|!
17 years UPS driver. Also, every package must be able to withstand a chest high drop. Shipping guidelines UPS book.
People just want everything doe for them these days. This is especially true of Americans. You see it on the road, at the store, in this video. Everyone is just here for themselves.
you got a bulk delivery and you stood there filming him? what do you want him to do? step arobics? you realise how many more customers he will have in his day apart from you who do not help.
UPS takes parcels upto and including 70kg, health & safety regulates much less than that as a 'two person lift' ...the idea is, the driver gets a lift at the other end.
Listen u moroon, u are pathetic.. those packages where in a nice cardboard squarish box!! no damage.. and u look like a fool for not helping.. be a descent human being and give the guy a hand next time... Arrrrgh the stupidity and ignorance of some people man!! :(
They should still be caught and fired, during my management training at UPS I worked a whole day with a package car driver. He got paid about the same as me 48K, but hey I was new. Anyway these guys earn every cent they make and many times stay out till 8:30 or 9 pm delivering packages. So I don't envy them at all.
As an ex-fedex person and past fedex mgr i can tell you that all packages are supposed to withstand a 3 foot drop. if not, they are not packaged properly. fedex has PACKAGING ENGINEERS who will go to cust locations to show them how to properly package! I want THAT job.
That is some funny stuff too. I work at UPS and that is nothing. You should watch us unload the crap from the centers. Especailly the air packages. We throw that crap so far.
Plus most of you don't realize that your packages transfer through several trucks on long routes by ground and just get smashed being in a semi for so long.
Well you would thing the the delivery driver knows the FULL job description before getting hired, theres alot of parcels alot of stops if you dont like unloading your parcels from yuor truck go somewhere else, but at least treat the pacages with respect like they were your own.Regardless if the customer helps or not, thats what your getting paid to do,considering that
wow! why would u just stand there? he didnt even toss them. sure go with fed ex with drivers that arent held accountable and who get paid way less and who dont like their jobs at all. they kick stuff all day for the hell of it. trust me. UPS is way better. they have better standards and service
FedEx Ground contractors have to pay claims out of their own pockets!! Paid less? I don't know a single Ground contractor that will gross less then $75k this year, with some multi-work area contractors grossing well over $200k. We don't 'kick stuff' for the hell of it. I've worked for both UPS and FedEx and can assure you that both companies handle packages the same way. Pack you stuff well!
I think his job was to remove the boxes from his truck and leave them at your dock. Did you want him to stack each box down the hall in the storage room and then unpack each box and place it on the shelves for you. Someone at your location is going to have to move those boxes to their proper area at some point. Why not just give the guy a little help while he's there, rather than make it hard on him.
i work for ups for 10 years this driver have a van full of packages rather than helping him unloading you are taking video of him you can see clearly all packages are blocking the bay ...you are a disgrace ...a helping hand is not much to ask
Im a driver too. go down to the local ups center at 5am and watch the guys loading the truck and the supervisors just watching. this video aint bad compared to that. Just ask the idiot sup that left the comment about the driver. Im sure he knows what Im talking about.
having delivered parcels for more than i care to remember the poor delivery driver get the blame for everything ..
a customer ordering a parcel on an overnight service but choosing not to be in to recieve it is a problem but it aint my {the delivery driver's} problem we just chuck it to the back of the van and go to the next delivery.. a customer who waits in for their parcel..
I'm a UPS supervisor and that's bullshit. Whether you pissed him off or not, you're still a paying customer so he shouldn't be doing that shit. I wouldn't want him to get fired over it (unless he does it all the damn time), but you should definitely go down to the center and show them this video to straighten him out. Most guys at UPS are good hard workers though. Although, for every 25 hard workers, you'll have one that just sucks. And it's always that one that gives us an image like this.
try helping the guy, he has many stops and you stand there with your camera, he shouldn't abuse the packages like that but you do get a little fed up sometimes at the work load
Its Generally accepted that if you have HUGE deliveries everyday, that you assist the driver... although I'd say with that guys lack of energy, and this video he wouldn't
the boxes arent stacked neatly is that the problem? Those boxes are going to be moved 20 more times after he leaves. UPS drivers job isnt to stack your boxes neatly on your dock or inside your house. People just want everything doe for them these days. This is especially true of Americans. You see it on the road, at the store, in this video. Everyone is just here for themselves.
atxdrew 4 years ago
you got a bulk delivery and you stood there filming him? what do you want him to do? step arobics? you realise how many more customers he will have in his day apart from you who do not help.

Ha Ha Nice Try.....
The guy has a Yellow Vest on... We all know UPS is BROWN
Yeabuddy1 4 years ago
Well, the vest is a saftey vest used at night, so still its a crap brown UPS driver.
Ramzada 4 years ago
Well I have worked for UPS for over 10 years now. Us Driver do not wear yellow vest. The Part timers do when they are outside of the hubs.
Plus its not even dark outside in this video.
Thanks you and Have a great weekend CK

They should still be caught and fired, during my management training at UPS I worked a whole day with a package car driver. He got paid about the same as me 48K, but hey I was new. Anyway these guys earn every cent they make and many times stay out till 8:30 or 9 pm delivering packages. So I don't envy them at all.
falconlem 4 years ago
As an ex-fedex person and past fedex mgr i can tell you that all packages are supposed to withstand a 3 foot drop. if not, they are not packaged properly. fedex has PACKAGING ENGINEERS who will go to cust locations to show them how to properly package! I want THAT job.

Usually we at work help UPS drivers unload so that doesnt happen, just to help them out.
unholyelite 4 years ago
reminds me when i worked for the post service and we had this odly shapped package and opend it up to see it was a dildo XD
roebteiskaos 4 years ago
That is some funny stuff too. I work at UPS and that is nothing. You should watch us unload the crap from the centers. Especailly the air packages. We throw that crap so far.
Plus most of you don't realize that your packages transfer through several trucks on long routes by ground and just get smashed being in a semi for so long.
UPSER06 4 years ago
Well you would thing the the delivery driver knows the FULL job description before getting hired, theres alot of parcels alot of stops if you dont like unloading your parcels from yuor truck go somewhere else, but at least treat the pacages with respect like they were your own.Regardless if the customer helps or not, thats what your getting paid to do,considering that
whheezzzz 4 years ago
wow! why would u just stand there? he didnt even toss them. sure go with fed ex with drivers that arent held accountable and who get paid way less and who dont like their jobs at all. they kick stuff all day for the hell of it. trust me. UPS is way better. they have better standards and service
chaps0315 4 years ago
fedex drivers are held accountable, how the f would u know a hole.
ghall88 4 years ago
because i know plenty fed ex drivers!
chaps0315 4 years ago
FedEx Ground contractors have to pay claims out of their own pockets!! Paid less? I don't know a single Ground contractor that will gross less then $75k this year, with some multi-work area contractors grossing well over $200k. We don't 'kick stuff' for the hell of it. I've worked for both UPS and FedEx and can assure you that both companies handle packages the same way. Pack you stuff well!
arnfdxgrnd 4 years ago
agreed! pack it well. so many things are damaged because of imporper or insufficent packing.
chaps0315 4 years ago
I think his job was to remove the boxes from his truck and leave them at your dock. Did you want him to stack each box down the hall in the storage room and then unpack each box and place it on the shelves for you. Someone at your location is going to have to move those boxes to their proper area at some point. Why not just give the guy a little help while he's there, rather than make it hard on him.

you must be one of those piece of shits that sits there and doesn't do a damn thing expect that shit to happen everytime you sit on your fat ass.

i work for ups for 10 years this driver have a van full of packages rather than helping him unloading you are taking video of him you can see clearly all packages are blocking the bay ...you are a disgrace ...a helping hand is not much to ask
Cage71 4 years ago
Im a driver too. go down to the local ups center at 5am and watch the guys loading the truck and the supervisors just watching. this video aint bad compared to that. Just ask the idiot sup that left the comment about the driver. Im sure he knows what Im talking about.
mm575 4 years ago
proper driver .. he could always leave a card ..
having delivered parcels for more than i care to remember the poor delivery driver get the blame for everything ..
a customer ordering a parcel on an overnight service but choosing not to be in to recieve it is a problem but it aint my {the delivery driver's} problem we just chuck it to the back of the van and go to the next delivery.. a customer who waits in for their parcel..

Put the camera down and receive your packages asshole.

And it's always that one that gives us an image like this.
lemonarcade 4 years ago
lemonarcade he was supposed to give him helping hand not taking video of him struggling unloading his van
Cage71 4 years ago
Why is it so bad? It's probably just some clothes or stuff in the package..

gary's getting older....he just cant toss them as far as he used to! haha

Ha ha ha! that was awesome!
Exoviper 4 years ago
try helping the guy, he has many stops and you stand there with your camera, he shouldn't abuse the packages like that but you do get a little fed up sometimes at the work load
missberry9 4 years ago
Its Generally accepted that if you have HUGE deliveries everyday, that you assist the driver... although I'd say with that guys lack of energy, and this video he wouldn't
last much longer.
fordcougar99 4 years ago
What do you want him to do? Get out of the truck and build a wall like he's playing tetris? Get a life...
cl715 4 years ago
Gee, I didn't think that was so bad. I throw them much further than Gary.
ParcelPuke 4 years ago
I would have called UPS and complained for sure about that!! Especially since it got to the point of video taping it.
