And for anyone who can't tell the difference between remastered or not, they change the volume of certain instruments, specifically lower for most and raise the volume on his vocals, possibly so people could understand the words better or something but you lose some of the kickass from the guitar in the remastered basically in my opinion.

Megadeth is the best Thrash band and I think this is their best album. Got this like a year ago and it blew me away. This shit was cryptic and scary but still the heaviest and fastest shit around! Long Live MEGADETH!!!

I think the worst problem with the remasters is the "Five Magics" Part.

The vocal harmony is totally balls, it sounds lame, where as in this version, it sounds beyond amazing.  It's fucking perfect.

Concordo, la versione rimasterizzata suona molto male, hanno fatto un pessimo lavoro! Fortunatamente ho acquistato nel 2001 Rust in Peace nella versione originale, adesso introvabile qui in Italia in quanto è andata fuori catalogo.

@samlat48 Definitely... I just seen them last summer for the 2nd time and it was the 20th anniversary of this album so they played the entire thing. Loved it. Although I love this album they their other ones before this were masterpieces as well.

I love hearing how raw and live-ish it was. The remastered versions I have sound like an organized and edited album, the un-remastered sounds like a band playing, that's what I love about Megadeth.

While I concede that the original takes of Five Magics, Take no Prisoners, and the other redone tracks are better, I have to disagree with everyone thinking that the remastered somehow "sucks". Having only the remastered when I first got into Megadeth, it was still more than enough to knock me off my feet and tell how titanic of an album "Rust In Peace" was.

@ElApocrifita I heard this version when my friend's uncle had to get rid of all his old music because his wife didn't like his piles of Megadeth laying around. until then, I had just been finishing my collection of the remastered ones, not knowing just how much better the unremastered version of this album was.

Although Peace Sells' remaster did it a lot of good.
