@Arrrrbol i own the beats , at first i thought yea there as good as bose but then i picked up a pair of bose in the shop and listened and they had a switch on the side , so i flicked the switch and everything i could hear in the shop muted i couldnt hear anybody or anything apart from the music , dont know how they did it but it was fucking awsome , bose rule!
"Bose Sound from the Soul" You got that right, the soul of Hell! Bose is overpriced based on the performance and construction quality. They are successful because they market mainly to the uninformed and tone deaf consumer. They spend more money on marketing then they do on engineering and product development. It has been decades since Bose has engineered a product that has changed the audio landscape (i.e. 901 speaker).
@PA5cAl1 haha me? dont have bose system? shit i have a home theater in my house kid! and i use polkAudio for my front and bose 201 for my surround. if i where u shot up.
@djgems Oh, sorry. I thought you were a bose fan. We have a Bose downstairs but it's not mine. Luckely it's not. They are overpriced pieces of junk. polkAudio is good.
I wouldn't even call them amazing. What the heck is up with a $4000 surround system that only has 5.1 surround sound, a regular DVD player, and only 2 HDMI inputs, when you can get a $2000-$2500 system that has 7.1 surround sound (and bigger speakers), a Blu-Ray player, and 4 HDMI inputs?
Bose's technology is horribly outdated. Better Sound Through Research? What research? Look at Bose's new products. None of them have any new technology in them that Bose themselves has "invented."
Yes, I have heard the Lifestyle 48, Bose's highest-end system. The day before I heard it, I heard a $2000-$3000 Paradigm Cinema system at a dealer, and I had been used to hearing my parent's $1500 Wharfedale Diamond 9 surround system, and my pair of Paradigm Atom Monitors. When they turned that $4000 LS48 on, I was shocked. It was WORSE than I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be okay, but compared to what I had been conditioned to hear, it sucked. And, I couldn't believe it cost $4000.
And, a week later, back at the dealer I heard that Paradigm Cinema system, I heard one that was being sold for $1000. Anyway, I was blown away. This system that cost 1/4 of the Lifestyle 48 sounded 10x better.
Now, for the same price as the Lifestyle 48, you could get something AMAZING. Watch my videos. They show what freaking massacres the Lifestyle 48. The reason you think it sounds great is probably because you've never heard anything actually good.
Well then how is it really really good? A surround sound system that lacks a Blu-Ray player, especially one that even costs $2000, is inexcusable when Sony has a $350 HTiB system that has a Blu-Ray player. A system that even lacks 7.1 surround sound in that price range in ridiculous. And, a $2000 system that doesn't even have built-in HDMI inputs, and requires a $300 adapter that only gives you 2, is a freaking joke.
Tell me, what other brands have you heard, and how much did they cost?
@MrBosesucks What makes you say that? Do you have an argument against my comment that starts with "Welll then how is it...."
BTW, this comment is 6 months old; back when the Bose Lifestyle 28 was out, which I am referring to in that comment (it didn't have a Blu-Ray player, and to get HDMI inputs, you had to buy a $300 adapter that was nothing but a video switcher, and had only 2 HDMI inputs that couldn't run audio). The LS28 was discontinued when the Lifestyle T20, V25, and V35 came out.
we have the bose system. The sounds is not that good that you can hear her breath so loud like that. .you can never get that sound. Sorry for my english. I am dutch.
Check out my videos. One of them (actually 3 of them; one of them specifically specifies Bose in it) shows speakers made by one of the best companies in the world. And BTW, these speakers are $25,000/pair, and are made for sound quality.
My other two videos show systems (a big speaker one and a small speaker one) that show systems that cost the same as the Lifestyle 48, but blow them away in terms of sound quality and features.
I don't own a sound system because headphones allow me to get better sound quality than an equally priced sound system. So, I listen to my music/movies through Sennheiser's HD555 modded to be like HD595s and a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card. Overall that cost me only 300$CAD but I think it blows away ANY Bose sound equipment. Bose is the best sound company in the world ? o_O Do some research, please.
I have polk audio. Mediocre. No presence.

People who sing the praises of Bose generally have very little knowledge or experience in audio.

But it is way to overpriced. And that's why they can't sell much.
