GM purchased Hummer many years ago... Go to the hummer website, at the bottom it says onstar. ... onstar is a trademark of GM.... noone else can use it... General Motors, owns the Hummer brand.. in fact. if you want to get technical... they even supply the military with the motor for the military Humvee... Please, next time you want to correct someone, do some research.

Even so H2's assembled by AM General -not GM. H1's sold up to 2007 neither had GM sticker or OnStar. 'Technical' - when GM bought the Hummer name - they gave up the rights for 6.5 so since 2001 - it's modified and made by AMG - not GM..

Dude. no GM didn't buy Jeep (American motor corporation... that's obvious. But, the M998A2 series.(\ Humvee) is still produced by AM General.HOWEVER! the Civilian model Hummer brand: H1, H1 Alpha, H2 SUV, H2 SUT, H3T, H3x, and H3 Alpha are all produced by the General Motors Corporation. (GM/GMC) and yeah H1's are very low luxury, they don't even have child safety locks. but they are still sold by GMC. AMG only makes the Military version. but not for long. the military is discontinuing the Humvee

I wonder if you ever even seen H1 upclose? If not I can send you video or pictures with manufacture sticker of my wagon that clearly said: AM General. Or you can stop by at Hummer dealer ask for ANY H1 part and see if it said 'GM' or 'Delco' . I visited it... it says that GM EXCLUSIVELY (that means ONLY GM) owns the rights to the HUMMER brand. AM General ONLY MAKES the M998A2 (hummvee). as of 1999 GM owns ALL rights to the Civilian model HUMMER! But yeah. AM General does still have ONE H2 plant, were all they do is put together the product shipped to them by the General Motors Corporation.. If you're going to give me a site to tell me i'm wrong.. Please read EVERYTHING on the site, before using it as your reference.

it comes out, that doesn't make it an AM General product. the entire thing is made in a GM plant, and then, shipped to a AMG plant, then back to GMC... GMC still makes them... AMG does nothing but assemble them. and yes.. HUMMER IS MADE BY GMC.... I guess that you don't seem to understand what i'm saying. It is still made by GMC... Few other facts:

AM General is not - 'American motor corporation' . It was division of AMG.

Military was going to discontinue Humvee but not anymore( unless you can provide me with replacement vehicle?) Pentagon recently ordered another 50000 units. Haven't you forgot - we fighting 2 wars? Besides,there are 60 + other militaries that use HMMWV,some thousands of them.
