This has be already implemented by chinese guyz using wii remote remote control. By joining wii sensor to laptop and laptop to projector. It also includes developing the software compatible to wii. Its really simple concept. just need little creativity.

OK, the board is amazing, but the program, not so much. Search Phun on Google and ask Emilk for permission to use her FREE program in a classroom. it has a MUCH better interface and is more fun. A lot more fun! Just add that to a Smart board and BOOM! Amazing new toy/teaching program!

i also think that springs are automaticaly anchored seeing as springs were made to be anchored. why would you draw springs unless you wanted them to carry out their funtion. why would you want to see springs fall? the reason why you would anchor a square or a string fall is because you might want to see how they would fall under gravity. if you drew a spring, the computer knows you want a spring to be... springy!

it turns into a triangle because he doesn't lift his pen. i think if you lift the pen it creates lines, but when you draw 2 lines without lifting, it just takes on the angle of the first point, to the end point.

It is obviously clear that when he draws the rectangle, he doesn't 'lift' the marker, thus causing the program to draw from 'point' to 'point' where he lifted the marker, which was in the shape of a wedge. It's not the program's fault. So don't worry. It still is awesome.

There was no mention about the possibility of varying the acceleration due gravity, mass of the objects, their frictional properties, the modulus of elasticity of the springs, general material properties. It's o.k. for basic mechanical simulation and understanding how systems may work, but is somewhat imprecise to be commercially viable for a complete mechanical engineering design solution.
