  • over the last 3000 years, our ancestors created our culture long before any western civilization became a civilization, dont mean offense by this comment but you should read up more on our beautiful history, if you want to understand our culture, get it rite please.

  • I have enjoyed the friendship of Persians in Southern California and Persian food for over 30 years and have a collection of Persian brass and silver work but never heard the exquisite music of Persia. This man's voice is amazing. I want to go to Iran and explore the rich culture. All of you Persian folks should be very proud of all of the beauty your ancestors have created over the last 3000 years.

  • unfortunately Iran was lost 1300 years ago when islam came and conquered. seems unlikely to become glorious again. only in history books. 1979 was the last chance of this nation.

  • This man has a divine voice. This music is sacred, and that's coming from an atheist. Thank you for posting this. I needed to hear it.

  • این اثر فوق العاده زیباست. نمی دونم تابحال چند بار گوش کردم، اول از روی کاست، بعد سی دی و ام پی تری و حالا روی یوتیوب. نمیتونم گوش دادنم رو متوقف کنم...

  • Iranian cooking / Iranian music / Iranian culture = Very Special.

  • @IranHistory It's a shame that there has been a war to destroy everything Iranian for over 100 years, but still we have persevered, and we shall become glorious once again my Iranian friend!

  • Oh it takes me back to the days of my childhood in Hamedan :)

  • that music instantly reminded of my own indian classical music!! well it was a treat to hear that!!

    love!

    from-india a.k.a bharat!!

  • Absolutely one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard. His voice is so enchanting!

  • I have trouble understanding poems. May you please direct me to a site (written in Persian) that teaches and elaborates poems?

I think Khayyam is simples to understand:

ای دوست بیا تا غم فردا نخوریم

این یکدم عمر را غنیمت شمریم

فردا که از این دیــــر فنـا در گذریم

با هفت هزار سالگان سر بسریم

Mowlana mostly talks about the revolutions in his self after he encountered Shams-e Tabrizi.

Hafiz is mast and surely from some other world. You read his poems and you feel his spirit lies there somewhere.

  • @rezz110 Poems are the most subjective form of expressions. Therefore, no one can truly explain how the poet felt or meant when using a word or a phrase, particularly, if it's a mystic poem. For e.g, some of Mowlana's, poems, to the contemporary mind, rather appear to be pornographic than spiritual. Obviously, we can study their societies and cultures in; it all comes down to one's commentaries; no more no less. If you want 2 know u must feel like them

We all can experience God provided !

  • thanks bro', you too. much appreciated, both the salutation and the idea. as kabir said of the earthen pot in the river: "in the water, is the pot. in the pot, water". there is so much grace in this song.

  • Life can't go on without music! Touched to the core. Salaam to all of you, brothers, everyone, every ethnicity. Farsi, Irani, Baloch, Pashtoon, Kurd, Azeri, Armenian, Turk, Arab, Greek, Uyghur, Finn, whatever. Peace. A Hindu from Hindostan.

  • @egolessboy

Peace out brother from germany, a piece of earth only sourrounded by imaginary borders.

  • payande bad eshgh

  • My sleeping (my languor) and My tranquility Without you, life can't go on; Without you, life can't go on. Oh Beloved The world must have been upside down, Had the life gone on without You! Oh Beloved Without You, The Garden of Eram turns into a salinity, The Garden of Eram turns into a salinity. Oh Beloved My sleeping is gone, My self image is broken And I've becom an alien to all (No), without You, life can't go on, Without you, life can't go on!
  • The song begins with a tenor, which is actually, the utterance of one word which can be translated as "Oh Beloved". Oh Beloved You are my pride and glory; You are all the possessions, I have. You are my pride and glory; You are all the pessessions, I have You are the life giving water. Without you, life can't go on, Without you, life can't go on. My drunkenness (my love of God) and My hangover (and my anguishing) My Garden (my felicity) and My Spring (and my rejuvenation)
  • This implicit meaning is driven from the Islamic literatures, such as the holy Quran.

In the chpter 25, verse 54, the Quran says: "it is He (Allah) Who created man from water". The chapter 21, verse 30, also says: "We (God) created every being from water".

In sufism, just as in any religions and mystic believes, God is, not only the source biological life, but also thesource of moral values, laws; and therefore, the source of spiritual life. Thus water connotes the source of spiritual life.

  • This artist usually sings lyrics with theosophical implication, mostly composed by the persian-muslim-sufi masters.

The words and phrases are used methaphorically. Therefore, unless one is familiar with sufism, they don't make much sense. Fore e.g. a line of this lyric, when translated in English is "You are my pure water".

In the sufi tradition, water as the source of life, connote the source of spiritual life.

This implicit meaning is driven from the Islamic literatures, such as the

  • süper

  • for those who do not know the lyrics, the main idea is romantic and it hase sentence which is repeated during the song mean ''it could not be without you''. '' you're my dignity, you're my property, you're me water's limpidity, it could not be without you''

    dorooooooooooood bar khosroe awaze Iran

2)mid persian was called parsi pahlawi, from sasanid era:which only exist in dilcts liek:luri, lari, bakhtiyari(south west iran)

  • 3)modern persian :which is calle parsi dari:which in iran is fmous to farsi(arabic world for parsi),in afghanistan to dari or parsi dari and in tajikestna to tajiki.which startd in khorasan province north east iran, tajikestan, north afghan.by workd of ferdosi tusi, rumi, rudaki an later in fars by hefez shirazi, sdi shirazi, khaju kermani,..

  • by poetry and letritiure which is base of evry existing langugge:parsi dari or farsi devide in to 3 main style:

3)indian parsi poetry staly:like works of eghbal lahuri which also was the base for ordu, hindi language of pakistan, india

  • in medern persian they are words for everything and even more than 1 word for every meaning .while some iranian,or books in iran still use some arabic, french while they are pure persian word for all of them.

it makes persian a uniqiue language which u can write the world bigest poet book like shahname, ganjnameh,.and speak whith not using any non native words!!!

if any one finds 1 word which there is no persian version for it i accept i am a cow!

  • THIS MUSIC MAKES LIFE WORTH LIVING

  • Khorasan is the land where my ancestors used to live : the kurdish ...

The music is one of the best I've ever heard

  • khorasan are persian dari speakers ,is birthplace of modern persian(farsi).by poets like ferdosi,khayam,....shajarian is from mashhad city of khorasan which 90%are farsi speakers and this music and instruments are persian, what relation whith kurd????

  • well in our history books, people says that we used to live there and we can also prove it by our language which has a great similarity with farsi, so I think and the History thinks like me that we're coming from Khorasan, the farsi says "asmen" to the word "sky", they say "atach" like us for "fire" so we may be not coming from Khorasan but It"s sure that we're a kind of brothers with you :D

  • shajarian is persian ethnic from mashad city of khorasan.

an is also persian sufix for family name .

armanian are christians this man name is mohamad reza shjarian.shajareh means roots in persian.

    liek in persian we have:husseiniyan,hakhamaneshiyan,iranian,....

how make hiwm armanian !!?he iis from mashad moselm persian family.i am from mashad too.

  • @sspersian i have a question )) what qizilbash represent for you ? )

  • @MegaSHamed qizilbash was a nnem for back bone army of safavid empire of iran,it comrised from 7 main tribes which some were turkmanlike(aqguunloo, qaragumuloo),some georgian origin (shamloo),some persid (lur, bakhtoyari, tajiks) some kurd(kalhur),....

qizilbash wasent cutlture was military xolation of difrent tribes in iran under safavid kings and shia religion.

  • @sspersian around 50 000 qizilbash living in afghanistan in kabol and mazar e sharif from almost 300 years , and they claim that they are iranian qizilbash , my question is what would you consider them ? :)

  • @MegaSHamed the qizilbash wasent an ethnicity.it was military coolition of difrent ethnics in iran including turkman, persian, kurd, even georgian some armanians.for exmplehead tribe o qizilbash were shamloo which were ossitian (an iranic raceand language of north caucasia).they were united by name o iran, safavid shia empire.

yes we consider not only qizilbnash of afghanistna iranian ethnic, languge but also tajik persians, pashtun, and hazarah persian speakers as iranian.

  • its not claim afghanistan was part of iran and sptrated by anglo russians games for balkanizaion of iran.

afghanistan name never existe in history it was part of iran khorasn province ,

  • armanian never put moselm or persian names they have christian names.

this man is from a mashhadi khorasani family.a native persian speaker ,he never made song in any other iranian dilect or armanian only in normal persian and some in persian with mashadi accent.

go learn some thing .!!ur 100% an idiot!!

  • @sspersian

While all true, more or less, that is too critical a response coming from good Persian such as us.

Don't be so cruel about it. If you would've discluded the end, you would have been correct.

  • @sspersian

I would say, take a history lesson. The Medes ( Kurds of Iran ) ARE the initiators of the Persian Empire, i'd bet you don't even know where Cyrus The Great is from...

If your illeteral and uneducated, please don't act like your educating others..

  • @HonestMagnet

    I agree 100%

  • @sohrab2012

The Iranian populi had 20 years to support this fellow to oppose dictatorship. Rather, they were submissive to the divine guardianship of the Islamic dictatorship. Particularly, one that encouraged Muslim reproduction and increased the population excessively, and then through inflation, immerged 1/3 of the populi below poverty line and opened the gates of social and moral corruption. Meanwhile, they oppressed the people who are resemble them most in culture and religion, the Afghans

  • 50 percent have turkish origin? So if you go to Iran half the country must see themselves as turkish right??? LMAO

Also Turks came after the 12th century. If you wanna talk about origins then turks are a very young ethnicity in the area.

My grandfather was a qashqai turk from shiraz btw.

  • Khorasan was Sassanid > Dari speaking, you know the rest!!!!

  • @GurbetciGenc100 khorasan is not old turk city, khorasan is the oldest persian iranian province which is in iran also parts of afghanistan, yajiketsan.

turk came to khorasan by rise of slejughiyan which difited the persian tajik dynesty of khorasan.

but thses turks moved futhur to west azarbijan, turkey for grrenr lands.

and khorasan is where modern persian (parsi dari/farsi/tajiki)oroginated from.and iran khorasan is the bigets persian ethnicproince of modeen iran.

  • Is he a Iranian Azeri Turk??

  • no shajarian is 100%persian from mashhad city of khorasan province ,and this music is 100%persian.whay u turks want to relate everything of other nations to turks?i know bc you are mongolian from china came to our ancient land persia ad now bullshiting .??
