Is it just me or is it that independent horror film just have this charm to them that i can't put my finger on?
Phantasm (next to Texas chainsaw massacre) is one of top favorite horror films. cause come on, how many film has an their Antagonist pose as a creepy undertaker with the intent to turn corpses into dwarf so they can be used as slave labor.
They're okay, they're not awesome. The first one is the best. Like a lot of horror movies of that era, they evoke a hard-to-describe sense of unconscious fear probably rooted in our common childhood experiences - they have atmosphere and a few iconic scenes that carry an otherwise half-assed B-movie.

poor Micheal & Reggie they can't seem to catch a break. the tall man is a total bad ass! way better than Micheal Myers or Jason, etc.
