Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman belong to a cult that opposes free speech and free movement. Scientology runs prison camps for its members, litigates enemies into silence and is responsible for suicides and suspicious deaths worldwide. Gaiman grew up being audited and intimidated himself and is used to lying. He may not even realize he’s a hypocrite. Scientology persecutes gay men and woman, by supporting Prop 8 in CA along with so many crazy scams and crimes I can’t list here.
August Strindberg was indirectly referenced in a song by Palmer titled "Strength Through Music", which contains an audio clip of a web cartoon called Strindberg and Helium. The cartoon almost exclusively quotes Strindberg's work.
when she says "We're here one minute, the next we're dead" i kept thinking she was saying,"We're here one minute, in amsterdam". Then I heard the origanal version, and can tell what she's really saying.
I hope that security guard lost his nuts in a tragic accident involving a butcher knife and absolutely no pain killers shortly after this video was disturbed.
I just spent 2 hours transcribing this into sheet music, so i might as well share it. I don't know how to write in tab so I'll just post the notes and you'll have to figure out which octave it's in. I'll capitalize the treble notes. If you have any alterations to correct this just let me know.
well, I just listened to the original and I honestly like this one better. However, I don't see how they're sooo different, because there not. They're both good. Not only that, but this is live so it's not as good as a recorded, mastered song. But I guess you can't do anything without critics.
Honestly I haven't heard of Amanda until tonight, but I laughed my ass off at this song, and was thoroughly impressed with her ability to interact with the audience... when she got to the "*uck you" part I almost peed myself laughing. I will definitely go to one of her concerts IF she ever comes to Kentucky (which may be much worse than Detroit, so I don't know if I will ever get the chance... LOL ... and she is RIGHT, Chi town is SOOOO much better than the Motor City, smells better too! :-)
Props PlacesP, for the clear quality of this recording, video and audio - I'm sure Amanda would be most happy :). Too bad about the guard that didn't get the memo. Sigh. Not sure I've seen an artist with soooo many consistent mentions on here and other review sites about how just moving/fun/kickass/genuine she is to see live - whether in concert or out busking on the street (yes she does ...). Saw at Coachella '09 ... I was grinnin' for days after, still am really :) ...
yeah go sydney AFP you are Fabulous (also the danger ensemble). superspanger did you dress up cause i was the one in the thigh high converse boots with the fuzzy hair which one were you?????
Her show in Portland was AMAZING! She's such a great performer, so eccentric and bubbly and has a really great connection with her audience. One of the most fun concerts I've ever been to!
I was at the Portland show too, and loved this song so much! I tracked down who did the original before I found this video, but it's great that you put it on there. Thanks for posting it!
Someone might have wanted to mention that to the guy who kept tapping me on the shoulder. I had no issues filming during the Dresden Dolls show we saw at The Vic in January. I've been there a few times since and OMG, talk about camera Nazis. They're stringent so if they could get the "free to tape" Dresden Dolls memo I don't understand what the Metro's problem was. Although he was nice enough to let me stay and not toss me or confiscate my camera.
Nick is a fecking great writer..
but this song benefits no-end from this singer..

I absolutely love this audience. They're so enthusiastic.
Audience: "WOOOOOOOOO"
AFP: "... It's only the beginning."
Audience: "YEAHHH THE BEGINNING!!!!! WOOOOOOO!"
This song is amazing too <3

@DigitalSyphilis They're absolutely adorable! I wish all audiences were like that, but then, all performers would have to be Amanda Palmer.
