I've played the game, but what I don't understand, is that Mickey was famous when he created the monster? Was he famous or not? Changing of subject, I realized that this MAYBE is a tribute to all forgotten characters through time, and tribute to old Mickey Mouse time, I think.
Thumbs up if you think Epic Mickey should be released for PC and other game consoles. Epic Mickey looks like a great game, but I don't want to spend $300 dollars just to get a Wii to play it.
i enjoy how this game isn't as dark as it seems. i do have to admit that it's the characters that make the game a little bit more light hearted, if the enemies and the gremlins weren't as "cute" or appealing, this could be one nasty game for a kid.

I think one reason for making this game is to make people remember Disney forgotten characters including Oswald, Smee, Yen Sid, and even Mickey, his head may be the Disney Channel's symbol but nowadays no body remembers him, everything now is Hannah Montana, Zack & Cody, Phineas & Ferb, Waverly Place? I was expressing that I don't like Wii because they usually have crappy games. @diannax8 I don't really consider Org. XIII to be a Disney thing. It's more like Square Enix. I think Disney did do the designs of the Heartless and maybe even some of The World That Never Was (kinda has a Disney-ish feel, but dark).

@sagax04 Yeah but they didn't release it first and they waited for the Wii to test the waters, and that fact is irrelevant to it being a tack-on or not, as far as I'm concerned the Move is still a rip-off of the Wii. Get your logic straight.
I think what would've been a better concept for Epic Mickey is that Oswald has a second brush and the two compete to defeat the Phantom Blot and become the hero of wasteland first. That could increase Oswald's role as an antagonist, and then they can team up at the end for the final battle. I've warmed up to the idea of Oswald being a good guy, but when I first found out about the game I thought Oswald was the main antagonist, and that's what drew me in. I think Oswald should at least be a boss.
Nintendo needs to make something new.. Seriously kinect is coming out for Xbox360 and that remote thing with the balls on it for playstation.. Nintendo needs to do something new. They keep going back to the DS. Why not make a new platform. That's just my opinion.
@ReonNeon Kinect looks like a crappy rip-off of the EyeToy IMO and the Playstation Move looks like a rip-off of the Wii (it looks more engaging than Kinect, but it's still a shameless rip-off and a tack-on IMO.) I personally don't like the Wii's technical limitations or it's control gimmick, I like it because of the exclusives that Nintendo (among a few other developers) bring to it. I agree, IMO they should make a new console, just not one centered around a bad gimmick (the 3DS looks enticing.)

Rated E for everyone? Now that's just wrong, it should have been E10+ because the game is design to be dark not something to be happy or cheerful.

@diannax8 I don't really consider Org. XIII to be a Disney thing. It's more like Square Enix. I think Disney did do the designs of the Heartless and maybe even some of The World That Never Was (kinda has a Disney-ish feel, but dark).

I'm excited to see this, after being such a huge Kingdom Hearts fan (I realize this isn't kingdom hearts, btw..) & I wonder what the mean about forgotten characters...maybe old disney characters?

@diannax8 The Closets KH Ever Got To "Old And Forgotten" Characters From Disney Was The "Timeless River" World That Was Based On The Old 1920 Shorts That Walt Did In The Beginning.
But, That Only "Scratched the Surface" On What Epic Mickey Is Going To Do.

@wolfclonius Well, Kingdom Hearts is Disney and that's pretty dark, some parts. Like with Organization 13 and the heartless and what not.

@sagax04 Actually that's a pretty common use of irony, it's especially done in short irritated replies online. What do you mean they didn't wait for the Wii? The Wii has been out since 2006 and back then Sony said motion controls were lame. I mean I know they had to say their competition sucked but it seems hypocritical to start doing the motion controls thing now. LOL yeah my 360 got RRoD because I stupidly bought it used (not that it wouldn't eventually happen,) I never bought a replacement

@sagax04 Yeah but they didn't release it first and they waited for the Wii to test the waters, and that fact is irrelevant to it being a tack-on or not, as far as I'm concerned the Move is still a rip-off of the Wii. Get your logic straight.

I think what would've been a better concept for Epic Mickey is that Oswald has a second brush and the two compete to defeat the Phantom Blot and become the hero of wasteland first. That could increase Oswald's role as an antagonist, and then they can team up at the end for the final battle. I've warmed up to the idea of Oswald being a good guy, but when I first found out about the game I thought Oswald was the main antagonist, and that's what drew me in. I think Oswald should at least be a boss.

Nintendo needs to make something new.. Seriously kinect is coming out for Xbox360 and that remote thing with the balls on it for playstation.. Nintendo needs to do something new. They keep going back to the DS. Why not make a new platform. That's just my opinion.

@ReonNeon Kinect looks like a crappy rip-off of the EyeToy IMO and the Playstation Move looks like a rip-off of the Wii (it looks more engaging than Kinect, but it's still a shameless rip-off and a tack-on IMO.) I personally don't like the Wii's technical limitations or it's control gimmick, I like it because of the exclusives that Nintendo (among a few other developers) bring to it. I agree, IMO they should make a new console, just not one centered around a bad gimmick (the 3DS looks enticing.)
