  • wow. cornell is way on top of his his game here. and he found a new look, kinda Vincent Chase from Entourage.

  • only 28,700 views! I've viewed it at least 28,000 myself!

  • 5:51 WOW

  • Robert Plant has one of THE rock voices, very few singers would even attempt to cover him, let alone be able to pull it off, awesome Chris, you've just got a new fan!

  • @steveg2324

this is Cornell 15 years past his prime.....his voice is shot here compared to his heydey.....check out songs like "Beyond the Wheel" or "Say Hello to Heaven" to see what he is really capable of...

  • @MFBueno63 He is still capable of much more than any of current 'popular' singers though... check out "Beyond the wheel" performance on showbox in 2010... he is almost back..

  • awesome

  • 5:49 is about as amazing as Cornells voice gets...i dont care who you are..

  • Damn! That was the best eight minutes and forty one seconds of this entire day!

  • crazy friend

  • this is why I'm glad he isn't with Audioslave anymore (don't get me wrong, I love Audioslave) performing those songs tore up his voice, but in this video and a video from a few weeks ago you can tell his voice is starting to sound like it used to :)

  • yeah now all we gotta do is find some footage of him singing Birth Ritual or Jesus Christ Pose

  • His voice was fucked up before that, it wasn't the Audioslave songs per se that did anything. Obviously.

  • I seriously think that it would be cool to hear Chris Cornell do a complete show of Zeppelin material.

Now Cornell is above cover band nonsense, but it would still be great to hear one amazing vocalist interpret another's work, yes?

  • like when Dream Theater covers whole albums. That'd be epic.

  • hey fuck u buddy

  • @chrisdgoldie better than Wolfmother?

  • dosent get much cooler than this.

  • @mojox7 is much cooler when kim ben and matt play it with him.

  • Dang! So this was a total gem of a find I just came by out of sheer happenstance... neato!!

  • sounds like Jim Morrison!

  • @PsychedelicLSD That is the idea...

  • the end and whole lotta love was cool

to throw in there! and of course 4th of july.

chris' band members can barely play.

but got lucky when he picked them up.

  • Reincarnated. The Lizard King!

  • 4 of my fave songs of all time in one vid, and my fave hired gun on gitter who could ask for more???

  • 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' is by the gothic rock band Bauhaus

  • WOW!!!

    i watch this atleast 3 x a day

Pipes still sound great wish he would play beyond the wheel. Still think he can pull it off.

anyway, ty for posting this i wish i could put this on a cd

  • go to heavy metal web and you can buy the dvd for $5.99 its under chris cornell, argentina

  • got it ty

  • which the end is this? if I recall there were quite a few songs entitled the end in the 60s and early 70s

  • It's by The Doors (from their first album).

  • thats what I thought. isn't there one by the beatles too?

  • Yes, from Abbey Road. Both of them are incredible songs.

  • Wow..this is frickin awesome. CC sounds wicked!

  • This is awesome i love his voice awesome yelling~

  • great! :)

  • Ooh Chris voice sounds great in this song! Sounds like he's regaining some of its old strength.. The scream in about 6:07.. It sounds good! :D

  • this is who jimmy page, john paul jones and bonham jr. should get to do vocals for them now that led zeppelin is apparently no more. if only he wasn't so busy doing R & B pop tunes with timbaland. god damn it.

  • Agree completely. And if not Chris, they should get Ian Thornley. (Who?) He's kind of a Chris stand-in but I'm sure he could do the vocals no problem.

  • jeffscottjeff....Hell yes i agree with having the Great Thornicus sing SG songs...his high notes are a bit scratchy....but "the tone is good"...as Christopher Walken would say...

  • very goog my friend

  • when was this?

  • December 07

  • December 07 in Argentina. Personal Fest.

  • 4th of july gives me the chills

  • Whoa the way the play Whole Lotta Love..the riff reminds me of Spoonman. Great cover.

  • soundgarden show strong similarities to led z in my opinion. espec his voice sounds like plants.

  • I Actually heard Cornell is writing some sorta hip hop album and Timbaland is producing it. says its his most anticipated album of his life.

  • growing the hair out makes me wonder if cornell is coming around full circle and going to come back with a kick ass rock album... as big of a fan as i am, i gotta admit carry on was a little too lite and loose... not tight and rocking as it should have been. though the tracks he did live sounded great and worked well when i saw him last year.

  • thought I was the only one, but that was just a lie.. this version is so fuckin tight

  • indeed

  • hell yea ... cornell rox

  • melhor musica do mundo, melhor cantor do mundo do the math

  • I love the Bela Lugosi's dead section, It sounds really dark. But in a different way to the orrigional, kinda more deep, bereft and with a kind of twisted or deranged angle put on it.

  • amazing

  • lol it has slaves and bulldozers bass line

  • He doesn't have the pipes he did back in the day. He is a much better singer though, a lot more creative. He is still the best.

  • i love this shit

  • My god, that was way too sick.

  • I remember when he use to do Medleys like this, this was unbelievable, especially 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' nice touch

  • the guitar effects and bass are so eerie on 4th of july- I think I like it better than the cut on Superunknown- blasphemy!

  • Blasphemy indeed lol. Nah this version is very cool. It's like a psychedelic version. I like the broodiness of the original though. It's much darker and like dark things lol
