U. S. Navy also vertical on board delivery. Helicopter Combat Support Squadrons like HC-6, HC-8, etc. Used also for Search and Rescue. I flew in the 1980's.

It is a CH-46 the US Marines use CH-46s the nickname for it is seaknight or phrog
The Army uses CH-47s the 47 is similar but it a much larger helicopter the nickname for the 47 is chinook.
