Am I the only one who remembers the bey couldn't dance at all when she first came out? On her debut solo cd she was just gyrating or walking around the stage when she was live. She got herself some lessons & a trainer (& she's still not that good as far as dancers go). With that said, leave J. Sully alone! If you need someone to hop around for you to be moved by the music then u don't love music. Jazmine is fire just standing & singing. Don't get too close, u might get burned!

I'm an industry Producer...I work with tons of artist major and unsigned alike....I can tell you it is not very often you come across an artist who has perfect intonation, vocal control and can deliver the level of soul that this young lady can...Not since the Motown greats...most are now in Gospel which is where she got her start. Am I the only one who remembers the bey couldn't dance at all when she first came out? On her debut solo cd she was just gyrating or walking around the stage when she was live. She got herself some lessons & a trainer (& she's still not that good as far as dancers go). With that said, leave J. Sully alone! If you need someone to hop around for you to be moved by the music then u don't love music. Jazmine is fire just standing & singing. Don't get too close, u might get burned!

I'm a musician, a multi instrumentalist. When I hear her sing, its as if she approaches the song like a musician rather than a vocalist. If you sing, you should practice experimenting in different scales. There are certain rules, but its more so about feeling. A coach can help but a gift is a gift. What Jazmine Sullivan does is both technical and heartfelt. This song is in the key of G. The intro is Gm, F, G. Verse is G, Eb, F / G, F, C, G.

To all beyonce fanatics. Yes she can sing but hands down beyonce can't do that . Jaz sings with so much soul that you feel like you're in church catching the holy ghost. Bey doesn't do that for me. She makes me dance though. My only opinion. Now after hearing that someone please pass the collection plate and start the benediction. LOL!

I cant get over that voice. I had no hope for contemporary music, but Jaz just turned all that around. So many artists have forgotten about the art that everything is so manufactured now. And yes! For all the Bey fans...Beys good...but cant touch Jaz.

Beyonce can sing but the way she uses her voice just doesnt do anything for me, even with all that howlin, screamin, and growlin. The way Jaz interprets this song and all her other covers are always my fav, no comparison. She just has to much gutteral soul in her voice. She doesn't need to dance and pop her butt to put me in awe of her gift.

@undralique I agree completely! Beyonce is too commercial, every song is big even when its not that great. Even when there are so many amazing voices not being heard. Jazzy is a blessing to those who enjoy soulful wholesome voices. Her voice makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. I hope she never becomes jaded by the industry.

and i hate to break it to alot of you but, there are vocal techniques that both Jazmine sullivan and Chrisette Michelle can learn from beyonces vocals alone!!! just because an artist happens to be in the mainstream arena doesn't make them less soulful than an artist who sings more urban/neo-soul/gospel because beyonce can also go this route if she wanted to and still sound amazing!!

Beyonce is the product of years and years of develop and training dating back to her child hood...But I have never heard her sing acapella have you??? umm Makes you think... referring to your question about beyonce ever singing accpella?? yes she have song accapella on many occasions, the thing is you just never seen her do it!!! and jazmine is in a league of her own only when it comes down to new artists but, compared to beyonce(just her vocals) I don't think so!!!! and as far as beyonce being trained,there's nothing wrong with voice development but, beyonce could sing with or without it because she's a natural!!

Real talk... I'm an industry Producer...I work with tons of artist major and unsigned alike....I can tell you it is not very often you come across an artist who has perfect intonation, vocal control and can deliver the level of soul that this young lady can...Not since the Motown greats...most are now in Gospel which is where she got her start. She is a rare talent and doesn't need to dance. She's not an entertainer like Janet...This chick is a pure singer in its rarest art form period!

She needs to stay as far away as she can from becoming like those artists.
Her performances are always very passionate and entertaining. She performs this song the way she does, because thats how this song is supposed to be performed. Its about the suttle heartfelt emotions sometimes over the over exagerated diva dancing nonsense.
Jazmine Sullivan is a league above people like Beyonce (although she is amazing!)
